Chapter 172: Chapter 172: THE TEMPLE

"Wow!"

That was what came out of everyone’s lips as soon as everyone alighted from the cars.

How can a place be this beautiful?

That was another thought of everyone as they glanced around the beautiful temple.

No one would have believed that they were at a temple and a nameless one on top of that.

This was the place where Amir had taken everyone. His temple, the one he poured his heart to build as he waited for his beloved one.

Zara looked teary at the temple buildings, a surge of emotions rising in her, she didn’t dare look at Amir.

Everything about this temple reminded her of the main temple of the goddess she once saw in her past incarnation, Zahrah, living.

It was very enormous from where she was sitting. Since the temple was large, and Amir wanted them to take a look as they waited for Diamond to arrive before continuing with the journey to the sacred land, the tour started from the gates.

The thick walls were carved beautifully, showing blooming flowers, the bright sky and statues of a familiar figure standing at the gates. The female statues reminded her of the goddess, the one she had failed to see her face in that dream when Zahra was still Phoebe and not Zahra.

It seems that Amir was guided by the goddess of health from the beginning and he might have not known it at all. But thankfully, it seems that they were both fated to serve the same deity. No contradictions at all.

There weren’t a lot of idols or statues at the temple that she thought she would find.

There were several buildings built on higher land, so people would be forced to climb stairs. Maybe that was done to show dedication or something, she wasn’t sure, but temples always loved making things difficult for believers.

To pray to one’s deity, other people even walk through fire and ice to do that. Thankfully, Amir didn’t do much.

"In this temple, there are guests’ rooms, where those who want to sleep and rest can stay. And ....."

At the temple, there was the main temple, the prayer hall, where believers would worship the deity, which she was certain was the Goddess of Health at this stage.

The prayer hall was very huge and tall as well. Inside the hall, there was the offering platform, where believers would light incense and offer whatever they came with. Then there were the confession booths, and private prayer rooms like the ones Phoebe entered when taking the test and met the goddess.

There were other rooms in the prayer hall, which Zara was certain that use would be surely found for.

After leaving the prayer hall, other buildings were amazing. The bell building, where the bell would be rung for prayer and other announcements, if any.

There was also a ceremonial hall, where, if any events wanted to be held, that place would be suitable. Other buildings were just built but didn’t have any uses at the moment, and Zara was going to change that once she was well.

She was the saintess and, as long as she survived this ordeal, then her job would surely continue.

Being a saintess of the goddess of health, there was nothing more she wanted than to let those who were afflicted by several ailments be well again.

After suffering for fifteen years, she wanted everyone to be healthy, even if that meant offending those dark deities’ believers and fanatics in hunting her again.

This time she won’t back out. As long as she survives, she is going to be on alert and make sure that she becomes powerful, not only to protect herself but those who love her and the goddess who has never forgotten her.

Behind the temple, there was a beautiful mansion, one which told her that this must be the home that Amir built for her without even knowing that she existed.

At least she won’t have to stay in the guest rooms or prayer hall. There was a beautiful mansion for her family to live in.

The mansion was furnished with a lot of ancient furniture, priceless furniture, which made me feel touched by how dedicated Amir was in what he did.

With the mansion in view, everyone got allocated to their temporary rooms while Zara was taken to the master bedroom to rest. After all, Diamond would be arriving in a while. She had landed in Rozinya as well.

With her arrival, more plans would be formulated and everyone would have to ready themselves for the trip later that day.

The scared land was a bit far, so Amir hoped to have everyone travel to a nearby city. This way, they won’t spend too much time on the road.

While waiting for Diamond, Zara felt like exploring the temple further, so she had a few people following her, while Amir was busy handling other things.

Zara went to the prayer hall. Something about the place, when she was looking at it earlier, kept bothering her and pushing her to go back and take a look. And that’s exactly what she did.

Entering the prayer hall, she couldn’t help but shiver as she felt a familiar energy and vibe inside the hall.

"I am going to walk!" suddenly she stated, rising to her feet, urgency in her tone.

Those who were with her didn’t stop her. After all, it’s been a while since she walked. Having her walk was actually good.

With her walking, the energy felt even stronger, and it seemed to be coming from one of the main private prayer rooms at the back.

With her leading, the rest followed, and shortly she was in that prayer room.

Badum. Badum. Badum.

Standing inside the room, Zara found her heart thumping loudly as she looked at the painting. She gave a quick glance before leaving a while ago.

This was what was calling her.

She felt that as she walked closer, she might get whatever this place wanted to tell her, and she did exactly that.

Emma and others, seeing no threat to Zara’s life, simply watched her with ease as she walked curiously towards the painting.

Everything about the temple was amusing, and they couldn’t help but be curious as well.

The painting was quite vivid as if it had life from where they were looking at it from.

It was a painting of a lady with a bright halo blinding her face. And yet the green ethereal robe she wore made her look like an immortal.

Her hands were spread to the sides and in each hand, there was a green vine which seemed to be endless, as it filled the whole painting.

Those who were watching didn’t understand what was truly going on there, but art has always been like that.

Profound and very confusing at times.

Wondering and pondering about this painting, Zara shortly found herself standing a short distance from the painting.

Curious and filled with questions. Unconsciously, she found herself reaching out towards the painting, her eyes filled with a green hue she herself didn’t even notice.

Emma watched as her miss reached out for the painting but didn’t make a move.

The temple belonged to Miss’s fiancé, which automatically made it hers by default. So, what was wrong with her touching a mere painting?

However, when the same painting suddenly causes such an unexpected scene, that’s when hell breaks loose.

Thud!

Especially when at that moment, Zara, who was just fine a moment ago, suddenly fell to the floor, taking everyone by surprise.

"Miss!"

"Zara!"

It was chaos.
