The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress
Chapter 119: BIRTHDAY BANQUET 3

Chapter 119: Chapter 119: BIRTHDAY BANQUET 3

After an hour, every guest arrived and got settled in their respective seats and tables. However, at a certain table, people were still missing. The birthday girl hadn’t made her appearance as well as the grandparents.

While people were wondering where they were and what was going on, Ashely stood on her feet, attracting everyone’s attention.

After all, she was a special person whom everyone knew. She was the kind of person who made people ponder about life choices and was in awe of her. She was resilient and knew what she wanted, mostly. Something that a lot of people failed to do.

Dressed in a magenta bodycon dress, which accentuated her beautiful curves, be it natural or plastic, who cares? She looked very beautiful.

Ashely was a beautiful person even when she was Axton. Her feminine features when she was a boy caused chaos back then. So, when she transitioned to becoming a female, she only needed a few touches to stop her hormones from being more male.

Thankfully, the procedures went exceptionally well, and no issues have arisen so far.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Walking in high heels, the sound of them hitting the floor could be heard, filling the hall.

As someone who had been in the entertainment industry for years, facing people wasn’t an issue for her. She enjoyed being the centre of attraction, actually. Having all these people look at her and listen to what she was going to say, she could never be shy.

With soft music playing, Ashely finally found herself standing in front of everyone with a microphone in hand.

Looking at everyone with a smile on her face, she brought the mic closer to her and opened her mouth to officiate the banquet.

She was the one picked as the MC of the banquet, something which was instructed or commanded by Zara earlier that day after she pissed the other by laughing at her.

Although it was more of a punishment, being able to do this, she was happy. Besides, it wasn’t like she would be doing it for the whole day. Her little sister wasn’t that cruel.

With everyone’s eyes on her, Ashely smoothly addressed everyone, explaining the schedule of the banquet. After letting everyone know what would be happening and how, she suddenly looked towards the side of the hall, where another door was but didn’t get used when people arrived earlier.

"I will not take too much of your time at this moment. The star of the banquet has arrived. Please, everyone, help me to welcome my beloved sister, Zara Hansley, inside!" with a bright smile on her face, she said before starting to applaud.

With Ashely starting, everyone started standing on their feet applauding, with the accompaniment of soft music making the moment more livable.

With all eyes fixated towards the door where Ashely was looking earlier, suddenly an exclaim was heard and it wasn’t in the direction where they were looking but towards their back, where the main entrance was.

"What is it?" asking anxiously about what was going on. The lady who did so didn’t forget to look in that direction as well before her jaws dropped to the ground. "What is this?"

She wasn’t the only person gawking, in shock, startled, baffled by whatever they were seeing. The guests from the young to the elders, their eyes were popping as they looked in one direction.

Ashely looking in that direction as well, wiped the tears streaming down her cheeks, a smile never leaving her face.

’This is your moment, baby sister. Own it!’ she silently cheered sincerely, all anguish, hate and envy towards her baby sister vanished.

Why kill herself with so much pressure when all she had received from Zara was love and nothing else?

***

Thirty minutes ago

Zara sat nervously in the stretched limousine, in between her grandma and grandpa who didn’t cease to give her some fruits on the way and constantly asked whether she was feeling well or not.

The love and attention from the two made her eyes sting, but at the same time made her heart swell with so much warmth. When was the last time she got spoiled by these two?

She couldn’t recall and seeing and experiencing it once again, she felt very much alive.

As she sat there, feeling the love and concern from her grandparents who had held on to life despite them being in their late eighties, she probably felt complicated and had mixed emotions.

She was glad that she hadn’t got to lose anyone in the years she was bedridden. She gets to be with everyone happy like this. At the same time, she was scared and afraid that after seeing that she was well, they might succumb and leave her.

She didn’t want to see that happening! She hadn’t spent too much time with them, so why should she let them leave like that?

She was going to find a way to let her family live longer and be with her for a bit longer. Consider that her way of showing more filial piety.

After being in the car for goodness how long, they finally arrived at the resort.

The first to alight were her grandparents, who waited patiently for her as Emma and Ava helped her from the car to the wheelchair without exposing what she was wearing. With a fleece bundling her like that, how could she show off the outfit those people meticulously dressed her in?

At least the tiara she was wearing was safe and still could be seen.

"Miss, should we start the livestream now?" standing behind her, Emma asked cautiously.

Upon hearing that, Zara’s eyes light up as she remembers that her parents promised her to do one on her birthday.

"Um. You can start and just tell them that I won’t be able to entertain them!"

"They will surely understand!" Emma responded with an understanding smile.

Hearing that, Zara nodded her head before motioning for everyone to move.

With them walking away, the livestream officially started, with drones flying out of the car which was behind the limousine before quickly going invisible as if they weren’t there.

Zara chatted with her grandparents on the way, everyone accommodating their walking pace. After all, despite being energetic for their age, they were still old and needed more attention.

They were not as young as they used to be, so more attention was placed on them. Besides, why hurry again when they were the special guests being waited for?

With guards and staff guarding the passages, not a single fly managed to fly closer to them, so they successfully reached the hall in one piece and quickly as well.

"I will be walking in!" suddenly Zara, who was sitting, said as she put her hands on the wheelchair handle, shocking the elders who were with her.
