The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress -
Chapter 115: RESTLESSNESS
Chapter 115: Chapter 115: RESTLESSNESS
Inside the mansion, Lena kept on pacing up and down inside the bedroom, her hands clasped together as if she were making a silent prayer. Sitting on the bed was Cade, and his expression was a bit gloomy.
Looking a bit closely, one would see that his hands were sweating and the frantic restless heartbeats were increasing with each passing second.
As the two were having their own thoughts without disturbing anyone, suddenly the sound of knocking came, startling the two and jolting them out of their thoughts.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
The knocks sounded very urgent and Lena, being in her current nervous state, found herself trembling but still geared herself to walk towards the door.
Fortunately, Cade seemed to be very fast on his feet as he managed to catch up to her and helped her to the door.
When they opened the door, an anxious butler stood by the door.
"I am sorry to have awakened you, but young master Quinn just made a family group video request. It seems that everyone had been invited to the video call but your approval is needed before the call could go through," butler Sam nervously explained what was happening.
Upon hearing that, Lena clenched her fists as her body trembled once more.
"This ..... where is he?" Lena asked hesitatingly as she felt Cade’s hand holding hers.
"He is at the villa," Butler Sam responded.
Upon hearing that, Lena looked at her husband, and he nodded at her. Seeing that, Lena looked at the butler before nodding at the butler. "Give him access and prepare a car. We are going to the villa!" she instructed, without wasting time.
Upon emitting the green light, the call was finally connected. Inside the mansion on the huge TV screen, an image appeared and Lena looked nervously at the screen. And when she saw her daughter sleeping, her soft snoring sounding in the ears, she heaved a sigh of relief.
"She is still fine!" Cade said relievedly, speaking for the first time in a long time.
Lena chuckled, relievedly seeing that as well.
"Let’s go there, still. I need to make sure that nothing will happen!" she said determinately while looking at her husband.
"Um, let’s go together."

Meanwhile, in several households, people were either on their phones, tablets, or laptops and some were watching the huge screens, showing just one thing, a sleeping beauty.
In a certain living room, an old couple sat on the couch, covered with warm blankets, glasses on their faces, holding each other’s hands as they both looked worriedly towards the screen.
Standing behind them without making a sound were several groups of men and women, all looking solemnly at the screen with their fingers crossed.
Time passed just like that without anyone making a sound. The clock struck midnight, and the couple started fidgeting.
"Dear, relax, it will be well! Don’t you trust your granddaughter?" the old man said softly to the restless lady, something that he understood pretty well.
"How can I be calm? That’s my little baby there. I won’t stand it if something happens! With so much hope we have received, I will not stand it!" the lady said agitatedly, her eyes red as she looked at the child she loved so much and yet be unable to show that love as much as she could.
The old man took his wife’s hands in his and said, "She will be fine. She had never lied. You remember that, right?"
Their granddaughter was unique. Her straightforwardness was something that they both loved about her. Maybe it was because they spoiled her too much as she grew up that she started saying whatever was on her mind without qualms.
She wasn’t someone who lies for the sake of it. If she doesn’t like something, she will make that known. So, he didn’t think that she would lie like that to them, that there was a chance to live when there wasn’t. and after so many years of accepting her fate, why would she play tricks with them?
"I know .... I ..... just can’t help but worry!" the lady said emotionally, her eyes gazing at the time showing on the huge screen.

Meanwhile, in a certain room, a man wore a red robe as he looked solemnly at a projected screen showing the person, he loved the most.
Sitting next to him was an older woman dressed elegantly, her expression a bit sullen and the beads in her hands a bit squeezed.
"Son, are you sure that it’s okay to do this?" looking at her son, who had been watching the broadcast silently for two hours she asked worriedly.
"It’s okay, mom. I can’t miss this for anything in the world. I can’t be there with her but I can at least watch as she turns today!" a smile on his face, he said confidently.
But the mother looked at her son and then the beads, which had turned into powder a while ago and felt gloomier. Of all things to watch, must they really watch this?
Of course, she understood the perks and why he was doing that. But what if fate was really cruel, and it didn’t turn out the way they were hoping? How was her son going to live?
Never in a million years as that ring of eternity had been passed down from one generation had she heard that it had the power to cure someone. What if everything just went haywire? What were they going to do?
Let her son watch his beloved die like that? Let him become a widower at such a young age and probably .... She didn’t dare think of anything more.
She was quite worried, but looking at her son’s determination to go through this, she decided to be patient and pray for the best.
There should be no way that anything bad would happen, right?
How many more minutes were remaining, by the way? She wondered as she looked at the screen before her body froze.
Thud.
"What the ....?" For the first time in her life, she found herself cursing out loud, as she looked at the screen dumbfoundedly, ignoring the sound of whatever her son had just pushed to the ground.
