The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress -
Chapter 105: FUTURE PLANS
Chapter 105: Chapter 105: FUTURE PLANS
The next day, Zara felt very refreshed, as those machines were disconnected, regaining her freedom once again.
"Miss, Madam had prepared lunch at the mansion. Do you want to join her?" as Zara received her bath, Ava asked her.
Zara tilted her head to the other side as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. She could see a small statured girl with a pretty-looking face receiving a bath and what she was seeing was something she greatly approved of.
At least as a human being, you shouldn’t have flaws without one thing being good about you.
She was sick, and she accepted that fact a very long time ago, but being a sick beauty, was different from being just sick. At least when people see her, they would say she is pretty and just unfortunate to be sick.
Brushing the unnecessary thoughts from her head, Zara sat straight once again in the tub and responded to Ava, "Um. I will go there. I love eating with her," with a smile on her face.
Ava acknowledged that before continuing her duties.
An hour later, Zara was all dressed warmly, with only her eyes visible.
She didn’t feel hot with all the layers on her. Not only was she used to it, but it was also cold, making her unable to complain.
After getting all dressed up, Zara left the villa being wheeled. Rather than using a car to move her to the mansion, she suggested getting wheeled there.
To take a look at the beautiful scenery of the mansion, something that she didn’t get to do daily, she found the long journey very meaningful.
At the mansion, Lena watched as Zara’s procession took forever to arrive. However, she didn’t pressure anyone but waited patiently as she directed the butler and everyone to have the table set properly.
After a very long time, Zara and her people finally arrived.
Zara, seeing her mother waiting for her, raised her hands towards her and waved them excitedly, like a little kid.
Lena rushed to her daughter, seeing her acting so spoiled like that. However, it didn’t matter to her. When was the last time her daughter acted like that towards her if she excluded the previous day? It’s been years, so let them be.
The mother and daughter reunited once again and the servants could only give space and watched with teary eyes as the two enjoyed themselves.
Lena wheeled her daughter into the house as she asked about her sleep and all that. Zara cooperated and answered her mother’s questions without any reservations.
That afternoon, the two of them enjoyed a hearty lunch, though Zara wasn’t able to eat much. After lunch, Lena brought Zara to the gardens where Zara seemed to be shining and in a good mood as she enjoyed the beautiful scenery there.
"Darling, what are your future plans? Do you want to go to school, work or something? Just tell your Ma, I will let your dreams come true!" as they enjoyed the scenery, Lena asked Zara.
Zara smiled as she looked ahead. The flowers were very beautiful to look at.
"I always envied those who went to school, but on second thought, I don’t think that going to school right now is something that I want. I want to travel, see the world and just enjoy my life. As you might have noticed, I seemed to have a knack for being a celebrity. I am planning on pursuing that path for a while."
"Instead of wasting time to go to school and all that, I will use the time I have to do some good. As I lay on the bed in the villa all this time, I thought to myself, what I will do if given a chance to live and not die like that?"
"I vowed to do good, be filial and above all, be happy. And interacting with my fans makes me happy. Being able to share that happiness with them and helping others makes me happy. It might not be much, but I guess I just like it."
"Besides, I might have to travel more. You know .... What I didn’t get to finish yesterday, just like how I got the ring, I need to leave for Orkney to find the second item. So, for now, until I am fully healed, I will be sticking to being an internet celebrity," Zara replied.
Lena listened attentively as her daughter explained herself. From the way she was brushing off other things, Lena took it that her daughter wasn’t yet willing to reveal whatever was going on at the moment.
However, she caught one crucial thing throughout the whole thing. Her daughter was not yet done. She still was required to leave and travel to gather whatever it was that person in her dreams wanted for her to be cured. Then did that mean that the possibility of her daughter’s recovery was high?
"Baby, this ..... do you know how long you need to be doing this to gather these items you are gathering?"
Zara turned her head a bit so that she was looking at her mother. She looked at her and smilingly responded, "I am not sure how long it will be. But what I know is that the more of these items I gather, the better I will be. Once everything is in one place, the chances of me living will be higher. So, whether I like it or not, I have to travel," laying everything in the open for her mother.
Since they have breached this topic, she might as well tell it to her straight. She had been thinking of telling them later, but her mother just had to bring up the topic earlier. So, she took advantage of that.
"Must you really go?" Lena asked as worry flooded her.
Zara nodded firmly, her gaze never leaving her mother. "If I don’t, I will die, Mom. And I don’t want to die. I will do everything and anything to live, so please don’t stop me!" imploring her mother at the same time.
Lena felt her heart shake, goosebumps appearing on her skin despite wearing warm clothes upon hearing her daughter’s determination.
She sighed helplessly, very sad that as a mother, there was nothing that she could do to help her daughter. Apart from providing support, what more could she or anyone else do to help her in this?
