THE BILLIONAIRE'S CRYBABY -
Chapter 214: STRONG DESIRE
Chapter 214: STRONG DESIRE
Fay tussled out of his hold, and sprang to her feet.
"What the heck are you talking about? I don’t have any child you fathered!" She cried defensively.
"Bullshit, Fay. I’m just coming from the Luxe mansion. I saw her with my own two eyes. Besides your hair, she’s a spitting image of me!"
"I don’t care what you think you saw, Ace. I don’t give a damn! You have to take off the delusional mask you’ve chosen to wear. Like I said, I don’t have a child fathered by you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get home."
She turned to leave, but Ace wasn’t having it. He walked up to her, and tried to grab her hands again.
They were all so caught up in their interaction, they didn’t see Gabriel slip out of the room, and slipped back in.
Until that exact moment where Ace grabbed Fay’s hands, he shot into the air.
Ace stepped in front of Fay, using his body as a shield, just in case the shot was directed their way.
Quick reflexes kicked in, and Dexter pointed his gun towards Gabriel’s leg.
"Drop your gun, or you leave with me no other choice."
Gabriel smiled maniacally, still holding on to the gun.
"What’s wrong with you, Gabriel? I already told you I was going to give you a chance for us to properly talk, but not like this. What do you think you’re doing?"
"Oh you think I believed you?" He cackled. "Look at you, Fay. Going back and forth with this scumbag of a man, when you won’t even entertain me. Do you think I didn’t read what he did to you four years ago? How come you can stand to be in the same room with him, and not me? Where’s the forgiveness?!" He screamed, and pointed the gun their way.
"You’ve absolutely lost your mind, Gabe!"
"You might want to tone it down, Fay. He doesn’t exactly look like he’s in the right state of mind. Keep insulting him, and he might just snap. Also, he’s Gabriel? Your ex?" Ace asked behind his shoulders, disgust heavy in his voice.
"I don’t think now’s the time to talk about exes," Landon chipped in.
"Drop your gun," officer Perez chimed in, pointing his gun too.
"I’d rather you kill me and get it over with. But I’m not doing whatever you say, until Fay promises to bear the consequences of whatever would happen to her, if she doesn’t make time to go out with me. And I want a whole day too."
"Buddy, I don’t think you’re in the best position to be making demands. The mother of my child is not going to be going anywhere with you. Got that?" Ace tackled him.
"I’m not the mother of your child. And you’re the one to talk about insults when you’re clearly provoking him," Fay hissed.
"Would you two just stop it please?!" Landon asked in frustration.
Gabriel shot into the air a second time, and broke into a feat of laughter as the sound made them jump.
The officers exchanged glances. Officer Perez nodded in approval once more, leaving Dexter to take the lead.
"I’ll ask you one last time, Mr Gabriel. Drop the gun, and you may still have a chance of getting your life back when you leave this room."
"You heard the officer, Gabriel. I’m going to go out with you, of course just drop the gun," Fay said, appealing to his mind.
He looked at her with tear stained eyes. "I worked so hard because I wanted to impress you when we finally met again. Why did you have to come from a rich family? Why did you have to be already married?"
He shot into the air one last time, and dropped to his knees.
Tossing the gun to the ground, he hung his head, and began to cry.
The officers moved to grab him, but Fay was faster.
Manoeuvring her body past Ace who was standing as a shield, she ran to Gabriel.
"What do you think you’re doing, ma’am?" Officer Dexter called.
She ignored him, and instead, dropped to her knees in front of Gabriel.
Her hands went to his face, and she checked his eyes.
"Did you relapse? I thought you told me France would be different? You said you’d never touch drugs again." She shook her head, as she reprimanded him.
"I’m so sorry, Fay," he cried. "I should never have let you go. Life hasn’t been the same since I made all of this money. What’s the point, when I can’t be with you?"
Fay hated the weakness that suddenly consumed her. She hated the fact she had been transported back to her character of old. Unfortunately, it was necessary.
She opened her arms, and pulled him into her body.
"If you had reached out to me sincerely, and apologised, we could have been on good terms. There’s no need for you to go through all of this stress, alright?"
"You’ll meet up with me, you promise?"
"I’ll try." She nodded.
She separated from him, and rose to her feet.
Swiftly, the officers were on him.
"Mr Gabriel, you’re under arrest," officer Dexter said gleefully, as he cuffed him.
Gabriel didn’t struggle. He surrendered himself, but kept his eyes on Fay, who held his gaze.
Officer Perez dragged him out, whilst officer Dexter walked up to Fay.
"You have to come down to the station with us, so you can write a statement. Also, if you’d like to press charg—"
"No," she interrupted him. "No charges please. He’s sick, and needs to be checked into rehab," she said.
"Have you lost your mind? You should absolutely press charges. What if that idiot escapes, and brings harm to my child? I’ll never forgive you, Fay," Ace warned.
"Whatever, Ace," she replied, and turned towards the door.
She stopped by Landon, and gave him a weak smile.
"Thank you for coming to find me," she said, and before he could reply, walked out..
Ace turned right around, and followed behind her.
She didn’t notice he was behind her, until he picked her from ground up, and walked towards the car.
"Let me go!" She started to scream in protest. "Officer!"
Dexter and Landon ran out at the same time.
"You can’t do that, Mr Ace," officer Dexter said, making a move to dash towards them.
Landon held him back. "Please, just give him some time with her. They have a few issues to resolve."
Officer Dexter’s eyes went to the spot Landon held him back..
"Get your hands off me," he said in a cold voice.
Landon swallowed, and quickly did as he was told. But much to his surprise, the officer didn’t go after Ace.
Officer Perez walked purposefully towards them.
"The boys just took Gabriel to the station. Shouldn’t we intervene in that?" He pointed towards the car.
Ace was trying to start it, whilst Fay banged on the window, trying to escape.
"Nah, leave them be," officer Dexter said.
The car successfully started, and Ace drove out of the compound.
"The officer says I need to come give my statement. Are you going to stop me from doing that too?" She screamed at him.
"Oh darling, we are going to go to the station, right after you tell me why you’ve been keeping my child away from me."
"I’m not your darling, and I hate you guts. Dream is not your child. Have you forgotten how much of a whore I am? How come you so conveniently believe she’s your child?"
"Because we slept together that night, goddamnit! And the child looks like me!" He blew hot as he drove.
Fay laughed. It went from dry, but quickly escalated into one filled with humour.
"What’s so funny?" He asked irritatedly.
"You’re funny, Ace. Dream is not your child. And I’ll be damned if I allow you to get close to her."
"Stop it, Fay," he warned.
"No you stop it, Ace!"
The car came to an abrupt stop, and he pushed the door open, and stormed out angrily.
Her eyes went to the ignition, and when she didn’t see the keys, she followed after him.
"If you’re not willing to drive anymore, give me the car keys," she said.
"You’re infuriating, Fay. You’re driving me absolutely nuts!"
He grabbed her shoulders and shook it violently, hoping it would wake her up.
"Let me go!" She said, and pushed his hands away.
"Why are you being so stubborn? Why wouldn’t you just admit she’s my child, despite Seth confirming it himself?"
"Because I hate you Ace. I hate you with every fibre of my being!"
He doubled back, stunned at the vitriol she was spewing.
"You heard that right, Ace. I hate you. So please leave me alone."
"Well I can’t."
"What?"
"You heard me," he said, moving towards her. "I tried to hate you, Fay. Trust me, I did. But somehow, you don’t even have to do anything to make me crave you. So I hate myself for failing to hate you like I should. And because I can’t stand hating myself, I need something to hold on to. I need—"
"No." She shook her head, sensing where this was headed.
"I need you Fay." He whispered, closing the gap between them.
