THE BILLIONAIRE'S CRYBABY -
Chapter 211: A BLAST FROM THE PAST
Chapter 211: A BLAST FROM THE PAST
Fay cleared her desk, and grabbed her briefcase hastily.
She hurried out of her office, instructed her personal assistant to shift whatever important meeting she had for the day to another day, and stormed away.
Her driver had made the round with her car, when she stepped out of the company.
She dropped her briefcase, and was about to enter the car, when another car drove roughly behind her, and stopped.
The screeching sound it made, caused her to turn around, a little distracted by the noise.
A hand stretched out of the car, and pulled her inside.
It happened within a blink, and the car sped away.
Her driver jumped out of the car, and his eyes strained to see if he could catch the plate number.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t. Next thing he did was to pull out his phone, and began to dial the police.
"What the hell is this?!" Fay screamed, underneath the box they had used to cover her face.
"Shut up!" A stern voice warned, causing her to jerk back in shock.
"Who do you think you’re talking to? You shut up!" She screamed, but her voice was a little too muffled for her liking.
All thanks to the stupid bag covering her head. She was seething furiously.
"You’re lucky we were instructed not to touch you," the stupid voice said again.
She sighed, holding back her venomous tongue.
The day had started out busy, and fine. Then came the Atticus to ruin the rest of the day for her.
And now she was being kidnapped? It made her want to scowl in disbelief.
The worst part was she couldn’t even see the direction they were headed.
Their movements had been so swift, no one could possibly have guessed what they were going to do.
She just hoped whoever was behind this knew they were not going to get away with it.
They had driven quite a distance when the car pulled into what Fay could only sense was a building.
The car stopped, and she was pushed out of it.
She felt someone grab her back, and pushed her forward.
They controlled her movements, as they guided her into a room.
"Hey hey hey. The instruction was for you to bring her to me. Who said you could treat her so roughly?" She heard a familiar voice query, and her heart dropped.
It couldn’t be, she thought. There was no way the person she thought of in her mind, was the actual person—
The box was removed, and she gasped when she saw the man standing in front of her.
"Gabriel?!"
"Hello, darling. What has it been? Ten years." He smiled.
The bastard had the gall to not only kidnap her, but also smile in her face.
"Have you lost your damn mind?" She blasted before she could stop herself.
"Whoa! The old Fay is really dead. And now we have a new Fay. Or should I say, Fay Luxe?
She took three purposeful steps forward, and when she stopped in front of him, lifted her hands, and smacked him across the face.
"You bastard!" She cursed, and smacked him again. "How dare you send your thugs to lay their filthy hands on me?"
He held his face, but smiled maniacally.
"Oh Fay, where was this fire when we were together? If you had shown even a bit of it, I would have fought harder to stay with you."
She lifted her hand to land him a third, but he grabbed it.
"Enough!" He warned between his teeth.
"No it’s not enough. It’s never going to be enough. If I had a gun with me, I’d blast your head for even daring to kidnap me. Let me out," she ordered.
"Nah, baby. You don’t get to make any orders around here. Common love, look around. I made it. I’m filthy rich!"
He took a step back, and spread his hand, as he threw his head back to bask in his idea of wealth.
She stopped scowling at him long enough to look at her surroundings.
"A mansion? Oh how supreme. Definitely something I’ve never seen before," she said sarcastically.
"You don’t need to be condescending. Shouldn’t you be proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish?"
"No, because so far, all you’ve shown me is that you’re a criminal, and a thug," she hissed.
"That mouth of yours. Spicy!" He smacked his tongue.
"Wait till you see how hard it bites," she retorted.
"Oh I have something for you to bite. Remember how you used to bite it, before I helped you perfect the act?" He threw her a wink.
She fought the crimson she could feel covering her face.
"Is that why you asked those riffraffs to steal me from my company? To remind me that I once put your shrivelled penis in my mouth?" She clapped thrice, and rolled her eyes. "Happy now?"
"Not yet. I’ll be happy when you’re back in my life, and my bed. Exactly where you belong."
"I’d rather walk into a sword," she said, and turned around, ready to leave.
He marched towards her, and drew her around to face him.
"Where do you think you’re going?"
"To my house, of course. It would be in your best interest to release me now that I’m being nice. I won’t be reporting you to the authorities, as long as you promise never to show your face in front of me."
"Oh Fay," he ran a hand through her face. "You’re so beautiful. As beautiful as ever before. Maybe even more."
She pushed his hand to the side, and huffed.
"Well, you grew ugly. More hideous than a gremlin."
He knew she knew she was lying. She really did know she was lying.
It was impossible for Gabriel to be ugly even if he tried.
Age had clearly been kind to him. She only wished his heart wasn’t as dark as it was.
There was a time she couldn’t imagine a life without him.
That seemed like forever ago, in retrospect.
"Why are you being so cold to me, Fay?* He pouted.
She slanted her brows in utter disbelief.
"I can’t believe you’d ask me that crap after what you did to me. Have you forgotten you were ready to push me into the arms of another man for money? Or all the horrible things you said about me? I was in the car that night, you fool!"
"Oh so you were in another man’s car? Another man who was propositioning you. How can you put our end on just me? Can’t you see you were also in the wrong?"
She slapped his face again, and he smiled, as he tried to kiss her.
With all the force she could muster, she pushed him.
"You dirty pig! You dare to claim I was wrong for telling a man who wanted me that I had a boyfriend, so confidently? You want to know how much I trusted you? I gave him your number to call you. I told him that we were so in love, no one could break our bond. God, I was such a fool!"
"Yet you married the same man!" He barked in anger. "Or you think I don’t know?"
"And I would do it a million times more. Because as trash as Ace turned out to be, he is a hundred times the man you’d ever be!"
"You better shut up, and watch the way you talk to me," he warned, getting more heated.
"Or what, Gabriel? Oh you think I’m that same old Fay you can intimidate? Try me, Gabriel. Try and see. You dare lay a filthy hand on me, and I won’t stop until I see your lifeless body buried six feet below!" She stomped her feet, going berserk for a second there.
He stepped back, completely astounded by her rage.
There were a lot of reactions he had expected from her. None of which matched what she was showing him.
"You’re going to change your mind, Fay. No man could love you the way I did. You don’t even want anyone’s love the way you want mine. Remember?" He began to taunt, taking step after step towards her.
"Remember how you begged me not to leave? How you couldn’t imagine a life without me. How you gave me your body, because you wanted to feel me in the deepest part of your soul? Remember!"
She shook every thought of everything he mentioned, away.
They were just memories. Awful ones at that.
Thankfully, she wasn’t that girl anymore. He did absolutely nothing for her.
"That Fay is dead, and gone. If I were you, I’d move on."
She whirled, and walked towards the door, determined to leave.
Although she didn’t know where she was headed, she knew she had to leave.
But she didn’t anticipate him dragging her from behind, and flipping her on the ground.
"You’re not leaving here, Fay. Not until you remember how much you loved me," he said, hovering above her.
She looked into his darkened eyes, and that was when it registered in her head that she was in real danger.
