Chapter 63: Chapter 063: Not Letting Him Marry Another Woman

Adrian Desmond pulled Sienna Johnson out of the hospital, his mood far from calm. Sienna, having just learned she was pregnant, was even more distraught. While descending the steps, she didn’t pay attention and fell straight down.

"Ah...my child..." Sienna instinctively protected her belly, trying to curl herself up to protect the child within. In a split second, Adrian, with his quick reflexes, caught her.

As their eyes met, Sienna’s gaze was no longer empty; it was now filled with numerous emotions. Adrian squinted slightly, his eyes as sharp as knives.

"Didn’t the shock make you stupid? Have you been deceiving me all along?"

Sienna lowered her eyes and turned to stare at the streetscape, refusing to answer him.

Adrian snorted coldly, "Mai, tell me honestly, is the child mine or Xavier Young’s?"

At this moment, even though Sienna resented Adrian, she couldn’t risk saying that the child was Xavier’s. If she did, Adrian could immediately take her back to the hospital to have an abortion.

"The child is yours."

"Really?"

"If you don’t believe me, why ask me?" she yelled at him, pushing him away. They both stood on the steps, and with that push, Sienna lost her balance and started to fall backward.

"Idiot!" Adrian reached out again to grab hold of this reckless woman.

"Mai, this time, I believe you! If...if you deceive me, once the child is born, I will cut the flesh from his body, piece by piece, and cook it in a hotpot to eat in front of you!"

Sienna slapped Adrian across the face, completely humiliating him. Adrian raised his hand to slap her back, but when he saw her stubborn face, he couldn’t bring himself to do it.

"What are you looking at? Keep looking, and we’ll gouge your eyes out!" Adrian yelled at the bodyguards following him.

Walter Klein and his companions had no intention of watching. They just didn’t expect Sienna to be so fierce, daring to hit Adrian. It was said that not even Adrian’s father had ever slapped him.

"Adrian Desmond, you are not human!" Sienna cursed.

Sienna turned to leave, and Adrian hurriedly chased after her. On the street, he caught up with the infuriated Sienna and tried to appease her, saying, "Hey, do you know you’re pregnant? Why are you running around like this? What if you hurt the baby?"

"The baby, the baby...you want to cut off the flesh from his body and cook it in a hotpot, and now you’re afraid of hurting him?"

"Wasn’t I worried that the child in your belly wasn’t mine?"

"Adrian Desmond, you are my only man!"

Adrian found that he was quite easy to please. Sienna’s light and seemingly unimportant sentence had pleased him, making him forget all the things she had done that made him want to kill her.

"What is going on between you and Xavier?"

"Adrian Desmond, let’s talk."

Adrian stared at Sienna. Seeing her expression was so serious, he agreed, "Fine! But it’s not safe here. Come back with me."

"Okay!"

「...」

「Desmond Family」

They arrived at the Desmond family mansion around dusk. Sienna had heard this was the ancestral home of the Desmonds and expected Avrupa-style architecture, but instead, it was a traditional and elegant Oriental Harald and Norden Dynasty building.

At first glance at the Desmond family mansion, Sienna felt like she had stepped into an ancient South River architectural landscape in Orienta.

"...this is your home?"

Adrian didn’t understand Sienna’s astonishment and replied, "Yes. I was born here."

Adrian held Sienna’s hand and led her into the courtyard house.

Upon entering for the first time, there seemed to be doors within doors and courtyards within courtyards, making it easy to get lost. The main entrance led to a courtyard which separated the entire mansion into an outer and inner courtyard. There was also a rear garden, even more elegant and charming than the Nature Style Garden.

The Desmonds’ servants stopped their work to greet Adrian and bowed. Adrian nodded slightly in acknowledgment.

Adrian took Sienna directly to the main house of the Desmonds, the Mercy Peace Hall.

Mercy Peace Hall was a three-story building located on the central axis of the family’s mansion, adorned with flying eaves and wooden walls.

Adrian took Sienna to the study on the second floor and had the door closed. He then spoke straightforwardly,

"Alright, speak up!"

Sienna hadn’t recovered from the shock of the Desmond mansion. She looked at the man sitting in the old-style wooden armchair and massaged her forehead. She had a slight headache.

A servant brought some iron goddess tea. Sienna was thirsty, but remembering she was pregnant, she said, "Please give me a cup of plain water, thank you."

The servant looked at Adrian, who nodded. The servant then brought Sienna a cup of plain water.

Sienna held the warm porcelain cup, sitting in a chair slightly to the side of Adrian’s. They remained silent for a while. Adrian patiently waited for her to speak.

Throughout their journey, Sienna had reconsidered many ideas. The unexpected arrival of the child had changed her.

For example, maybe she and Adrian could live a good life together if both were willing to compromise.

"The child is yours..." This was Adrian’s primary concern, so Sienna reassured him first. "Xavier and I..."

Adrian interrupted Sienna’s words, displeased, "Xavier, Xavier, you call him so intimately. When you call my name, it’s always just ’Adrian Desmond.’"

"Then I’ll call you ’Little Adrian’ from now on."

Adrian: ...

Sienna looked up to see Adrian’s constipated expression. See? He obviously didn’t like that nickname.

"My relationship with Xavier Young is not what you think."

"What is it then?"

"I used him, trying to get him to help me escape..."

Adrian glared at Sienna, "Wasn’t I good enough for you? Am I not treating you well? You still want to escape? You’ve already escaped once, and now you want to do it a second time? A third?"

"Adrian, can we have a proper conversation?" she pleaded with her eyes.

Adrian suppressed the anger in his heart and snorted coldly through his nose but didn’t continue grumbling. Sienna also tried to keep her tone calm and not provoke Adrian.

"Adrian, I don’t want to be your mistress. I don’t want to be your kept canary. Can’t you treat me as a person, instead of one of your pet dogs or cats?"

"So that’s how you’ve always seen me?" he sneered, feeling that all his affection had gone to the dogs.

"Adrian, can you not marry Miss Carpenter?"

She said it and then nervously awaited Adrian’s answer. Her heart was in turmoil. She wanted to hear his answer but was also afraid of it.

In Abyanabad, any man with a bit of ability would have multiple wives and concubines. It wouldn’t be unusual for a man like Adrian to marry a few wives, but she didn’t want to let him marry Melanie Carpenter.
