"Xavier Young, considering the many years you’ve followed me, I’ll let you live. Now disappear from my sight and never show your face to me again!" Adrian Desmond roared.

"What about Mai?"

"Mai?..." Adrian took a step forward and kicked out. Xavier could have easily dodged it, but he didn’t. Adrian’s kick snapped Xavier’s shinbone. "You’re already in this state, barely able to protect yourself, and you’re still thinking of this woman..."

"Sixth Master, I love her..."

Sienna Johnson knew Xavier had feelings for her but had never admitted them. She hadn’t expected him to confess his love at such a moment. Didn’t he know that saying something like this could get him killed by Adrian?

"She’s a vicious and hard-hearted woman. Someone as naive as you is bound to be ruined by her sooner or later! Just give up on those feelings. She’s not yours and will never belong to you!"

This was the first time Xavier had defied Adrian. "Mai doesn’t belong to the Sixth Master either!"

"What did you say?"

"She wants to be with me, doesn’t she? Mai chose me!"

Adrian felt a knot tighten in his chest, nearly choking him. His woman and his subordinate had conspired together, and now they dared to act as if *he* were the one tearing them apart!

"Fine, fine, fine..." Adrian said "fine" three times, though it was clear from his tone that things were anything but; everything was terrible.

Sienna was also furious. She scolded, "You coward! If you’re not afraid to die, why didn’t you join forces with me from the start to deal with him! Now your leg is broken, and you’re still saying such things. Have you lost your mind?"

Once the initial advantage was lost, they had lost completely.

Tatu arrived with his men, and Sienna despaired. If Xavier had been more decisive just now, they would already be out at sea.

"Sixth Master, what happened?" Tatu asked.

"Banish Xavier Young from the island immediately! As long as I, Adrian Desmond, am alive, never let him appear before me again!"

Maxwell Young had also arrived. Seeing his brother kneeling on the ground, and not knowing what had happened, he begged, "Sixth Master, Xavier can be impulsive, but he’s loyal to you. If he’s done something wrong, you can beat him, just please don’t banish him!"

Sienna pressed her hand to her forehead, walked over to Xavier, and urged, "Go... I wronged you in this matter."

"Mai..." Xavier was deeply smitten, his eyes fixated on her with infatuation.

Sienna continued, "...I don’t like you at all."

"But... you just said?..." Xavier was confused.

Sienna looked at Xavier, a hint of helplessness in her eyes, but she spoke the truth. "I just wanted to use you to help me escape! Look, today was such a perfect opportunity. There were so many boats at the dock, and everyone was busy entertaining Miss Carpenter. ...But you, you’re just too indecisive."

"..."

"Go on. There’s no point in you staying here anymore," Sienna stood up and said heartlessly.

Only then did everyone understand the whole story. Maxwell Young said furiously, "Mai, how could you treat my brother like this?"

Sienna didn’t feel she had done anything wrong and retorted, "And how have all of you treated me?"

Tatu, feeling indignant on Adrian’s behalf for all he had done, said resentfully, "Hasn’t our Sixth Master treated you well enough? Woman, do you have any conscience at all? If it weren’t for our Sixth Master, you would have been eaten by sharks long ago! And later, if the Sixth Master hadn’t saved you when you fell into Uncle’s hands, do you think you’d still be alive now?"

"Yes, you saved me, and I’m grateful! But I’ve paid my due, haven’t I? I let him sleep with me for half a year. Isn’t that enough?!"

Sienna looked at Adrian, an icy glint in her eyes. "Half a year isn’t enough? Then how much longer do you intend to sleep with me before you’ll let me go?"

Adrian’s heart was bleeding. With a single sentence, Sienna had defined their relationship as that of a prostitute and her john!

"Sixth Master, a woman like this? Just kill her!" someone suggested.

"Exactly! This heartless woman should be killed and thrown into the sea to feed the sharks! Keeping her alive is just a waste of food!"

Sienna had incurred public outrage. So many furious faces, their mouths like knives, looked as if they wanted to carve the flesh from her bones.

"HUMPH!" Sienna sneered but didn’t bother to argue with them.

People see things differently depending on their perspective. They felt that since the Sixth Master had saved her life, she should sell herself to him. They felt that since the Sixth Master liked her, she should wholeheartedly return his affections. But had anyone ever asked her what *she* wanted? She didn’t want to be a caged bird, imprisoned by Adrian on this island! She didn’t want to live forever in the shadows as Adrian’s mistress!

"Adrian, just kill me!" Sienna said in despair.

The sea surrounded her on all sides; there was nowhere for her to run!

Adrian stared at Sienna for a long time without uttering a word.

"Sixth Master, if you can’t bring yourself to do it, I will!" Someone pulled out a gun, its dark muzzle aimed at her. Sienna closed her eyes, awaiting death’s arrival.

If Adrian could have forgiven her for other things, this was different. Her affair with his subordinate and inciting Xavier to elope with her—no man would forgive that, let alone someone as proud, chauvinistic, and domineering as Adrian!

Selena Robertson heard the commotion and ran up the mountain, only to see a woman surrounded by the crowd—who else could it be but Sienna Johnson?

"Mai!" Selena scrambled to Sienna’s side, standing protectively close to her.

"What are you doing here? Go, quickly."

Selena shook her head, clinging tightly to Sienna’s arm. She didn’t know exactly what had happened; she only saw someone pointing a gun, about to kill Mai.

"Sixth Master, please spare Mai! She didn’t mean to do it," Kiki pleaded for Sienna.

Sienna smiled. "No one can help me this time."

"No way, how could the Sixth Master bear to kill you..."

Maybe he couldn’t have brought himself to do it before, but now, things were different. She had now been labeled an unfaithful, promiscuous woman.

"Sixth Master, say something!"

Everyone urged him, but Adrian just stared at Sienna, his gaze unwavering. She had cut her hair short. She knew perfectly well he loved her long hair the most, yet she had still cut it off.
