"Mai!" It was Adrian Desmond’s furious roar!

Sienna Johnson felt incredibly unfortunate. Why did she always manage to get caught by Adrian Desmond? What was he doing here? Shouldn’t he be accompanying his newly arrived fiancée on the island at this time? Damn it!

The two tumbled down the hill, with Adrian Desmond rushing after them. He held a gun. It was he who had fired moments ago. The question was whether he wanted to kill her, or Xavier Young, or both of them.

"Xavier, we should run. If we get caught by the Sixth Master, we’ll be done for," she urged.

At this point, there was no way to clear things up. The only option was to flee.

A hesitation flashed across Xavier Young’s face. Sienna Johnson didn’t give him a chance to retreat. She declared defiantly, "Well! If you’re not up for it, I won’t force it. When the Sixth Master arrives, you can blame everything on me. Just say I seduced you, and let the Sixth Master kill me!"

"That’s not the case!" If he hadn’t harbored feelings for Sienna, how could she have possibly seduced him?! It takes two to tango, after all.

Sienna Johnson stood up and walked towards Adrian Desmond. But Xavier Young grabbed her hand and asked, "Are you really willing to be with me?"

She was willing to go on the run with him. "Yes!"

"Mai, the Sixth Master always gets his way. If we escape today, we’ll be fugitives for the rest of our lives. Are you still willing?"

"Yes!"

"Alright! I’ll take you away!"

With Xavier Young determined, Sienna Johnson was equally pleased. With the arrival of his primary wife, she was unwilling to stay on the island and play the role of his mistress. Other women might demean themselves in such a way, but she would never stoop so low.

"Let’s go!"

Xavier Young held Sienna’s hand, preparing to run. However, Adrian Desmond’s speed was shocking. He had caught up to them, pointing his gun at them.

"Run! I want to see whether you can outrun the bullet in my hand!" Adrian Desmond threatened, his eyes flaming red, his gun focused on Xavier.

And so, a standoff began.

Adrian Desmond stood there, his gaze chilling, akin to two ebony ice blades. The sun’s rays, refracted by the sea surface, danced upon his face, making his expression all the more intimidating.

Adrian felt Sienna’s gaze on him. His sharp eyes met hers.

His gaze, as piercing as an icy arrow, left Sienna frozen. She was seized with anxiety, knowing her end would be grim.

"Sixth Master, you... let me and Mai go," Xavier suggested hesitantly, fully aware of his unscrupulous actions.

"Let you go? Sure! If you can step over my dead body, I’ll let you go!" Adrian’s eyes swirled with a cruel, bloody desire as he laughed coldly.

Adrian’s formidable demeanor terrified Xavier. The situation was running out of their control. Sienna was quickly racking her brains. Pretending to be weak, she pleaded, "Sixth Master, I... I was wrong, please forgive me this time."

She walked towards Adrian, but Xavier Young held her hand tightly. Nonetheless, Sienna decisively broke free. Xavier’s hurt was evident in his eyes.

Sienna’s submission brought Adrian a thread of pleasure. But he wouldn’t coddle her any longer this time. He could tolerate anything but her infidelities.

Sienna watched Adrian as anger took hold of him, his eyes bloodshot. He pulled back the slide. He was really going to kill Xavier.

"Mai!" Xavier called out in despair.

At just the right moment, Sienna delivered a swift kick to Adrian’s gun-wielding hand. Adrian had not expected Sienna to retaliate. He had always seen her as a delicate woman and had forgotten that she had learned close quarter combat from Xavier for a month.

"Mai?!"

Adrian’s gun flew out of his hand. Xavier tried to grab it, but Adrian reacted quickly, kicking the gun away. It flew far from the reach of all three of them. Now, their strengths were nearly equal.

Sienna quickly retreated to Xavier’s side. "Now, he doesn’t have a gun. We don’t have to be afraid of him anymore..."

Adrian’s heart sank as he registered Sienna’s calculated coldness.

He scoffed disdainfully and said, "Mai, have you forgotten that I was the one who taught Xavier his close quarter combat? I’m the Master here. Do you think he can defeat me?"

"One on one, he might not win. But with the two of us together, it’s a different story," she replied.

Adrian choked on Sienna’s words. He hated hearing her and Xavier say "we". She was his!

"Mai, come back!" Adrian commanded.

Things had already escalated to this point. There was no turning back. Sienna had originally planned to take things slow. At no point did she anticipate this turn of events. Since she had already decided to run away, there was no better time than the present. Today was the day!

"Sixth Master, Miss Carpenter has just arrived. Shouldn’t you be accompanying her?" Sienna casually conversed with Adrian Desmond.

"Her matters don’t concern you!"

"Adrian, I’ll be honest with you. My man can be ugly or poor, but he absolutely cannot have other women besides me! You want to marry Miss Carpenter? Go ahead. But don’t drag me along. I refuse to be your mistress," Sienna clarified her feelings.

Adrian smirked and glanced at Xavier. "So, you’ve hooked up with Xavier now?"

"We share mutual feelings!"

"Mai, who’s in your heart?"

"Certainly not the Sixth Master!"

Most of the people on the dock had left. Everyone was busy settling Miss Carpenter. As long as she could handle Adrian, Sienna could escape to the dock with Xavier, and they could finally go home.

Sienna looked at Xavier, encouraging him. "Xavier, I know you admire Adrian, but at this point, he is determined to kill both of us. So why not just take him out."

Adrian was rendered speechless.

Xavier, too, was at a loss for words.

Overwhelmed by Adrian’s authority, Xavier had only resorted to such an extreme measure because he had been fooled by Sienna. He still greatly respected Adrian, so he did not accept Sienna’s suggestion. Rather, he lowered his stance and begged, "Sixth Master, let us go. We promise to leave and never come back."

"Go?... Where are you planning to take my woman?"

"She said she wants to go home, and I’ll follow her," Xavier replied honestly. "Wherever Mai goes, I’ll go..."

Adrian remained silent.

"Sixth Master, Mai doesn’t like you, so let us go."

Adrian looked at Sienna, his heart turning completely cold. He had treated her sincerely and bared his heart to her, even to the point of letting her toy with it. But what did this woman do? She was planning to team up with his subordinate to kill him. What a poisonous woman, what a poisonous heart!
