Yuki was seated on the bed watching Hiro, he was fast asleep no longer in pain, a drip connected to his hand.

Her lips pressed in a thin line before she laid beside him, cuddling up next to him, her eyes sad and shaky.

"Idiot Hiro," she said in a whisper.

"Always doing reckless things"

"The Queen Kaiju has to go down," he said sternly.

"We can’t let her have her way!"

She could still remember his words, her looks darken, she took his hand gripping on it tightly. ’You’re not the only one in this Hiro’ she thought.

Level 9: Special Training Hall

RAIDEN

Raiden fell on his butt, panting, beams of sweat against his features, the area he was had multiple holes the size of a bullet, on the walls and floor, steam coming out from it.

"This is not working," Raiden said with a sigh, his eyes landing on the untouched wall after all his attacks against it... nothing worked. It was getting really annoying, this wall made from all the samples of Alpha’s they have encountered... was really a tough one, harder than any wall he has ever seen.

"I’m out of ideas"

"What is it Raiden... giving up?" Anzai said smirking.

Raiden chuckled.

"It’s not like I have a choice to" he states forcing his body up, with the help of his sniper gun. It really was annoying.

"What will the others think of me if I give up... I don’t wanna be the dead weight, it can’t be helped... which is why..." he growled standing up fully.

"I will catch up to those dudes" he grinned.

"I see" Anzai closed his eyes.

"Then what will you do Raiden... your only good at long-range attacks, your blood weapon is special but it’s not as effective as the others"

"Yeah you’re right sir," he said staring at his gun.

"I can only assist my comrades from a long-range, I may have immerse strength but our blood weapon is the only thing that can bring the Kaiju’s down" his grip tightens on it.

"Tell me General Anzai... why did the selection system choose someone like me?"

"Well, who knows..." Anzai said in amusement.

"I’m sure you know the answer" he adds with a shrug.

Raiden chuckled.

"I see... those with the capability of getting the job done..." he sighed, not the ideal answer but still it was enough.

"We’re about to face the biggest threat in history and I’m a part of them... sad", a picture of Asano’s face flashed in his head.

"I wonder what she would think if she was here... What expression would she give, her words of encouragement"

Anzai’s eyes saddened at his words, he knew exactly what he meant.

"Who knows... she could be rooting for you wherever she is now"

"I guess so," Raiden said with trembling eyes.

"And like I said sir... it can’t be helped", he spins the gun around his hand.

"Even if I want to give up I can’t..."

"Raiden," Anzai said faintly.

"Because it would be so uncool" he walks to the wall, cocking his gun he fired a shot, the bullet bounced back, he dodged it with a shift of his head.

"And Asano will definitely be pissed at me if I’m" he grinned.

Anzai smiled.

Raiden cocks his gun once again, pointing the pistol at it.

"Others are trying their hardest to fight this... I might as well give it all I have"

"Wait you’re not about to shoot that close are you?" Anzai asked puzzled, it wasn’t such a good idea.

"That close it will only just bounce back and the damage to your body will be worst" he adds.

"My dad taught me something once... he was in the military but retired early... funny enough he wielded the same weapon... he said sniper shooters are always meant to get their targets from a distance, it what makes a sharpshooter he said".

"Yes, that would be correct".

Raiden smiled.

"But the only difference is... he was a human soldier but I’m not and I’m certainly not wielding a normal weapon... the bullets mask with our blood is like a hand grenade, making it more effective than any other bullet..."

’Oh I see’ Anzai thought in amusement, he knew exactly where he was going with this, Raiden was wise to figure it out.

"The further... the stronger effect and a more damage against our targets but the closer... the deadliest"

He pulled the trigger, the bullet snapped into it, the wall vibrates from the impact.

The bullet still stationed on it, beaming the brightest red.

"...and even more effective"

Instantly the bullet slammed into the wall as it broke apart.

Control Tower

"Ken Raiden current Level now Sp3: Level 4" Touka announced.

’They are really adjusting to this training... more steps closer!’

"Mm," Anzai made a sound of impressed.

"But the more energy used," Raiden said weakly as he collapsed to the floor.

Anzai sighed, a smile still evident on his lips. These kids never ceased to amaze him with their techniques and outstanding efforts... in this age, they were what you would call super-soldiers, one of them was like 10 men combined and more.

SUMI

Sumi retreats her blood weapon, the twin wires swirling around her beaming crimson, her looks were stern.

"You just have an hour left Sumi," Anzai said in amusement.

"Annoying..." Sumi mouths, her bio-genetics eyes fixed on the standing wall that seemed impenetrable. ’Tough... but nothing stays so for long, they eventually break...’ she thought with dark looks.

"Let’s get this over with shall we?" she said in a bored tone, her body shook in pain but she ignored the feeling, she waves her hand, the wire swirled to the wall.

’If it always bounces all techniques and attacks I throw at it... then I will squeeze the life out of it...’ she thought as the wires wrapped around it in a tight grip.

The wall shook from the contact. ’Until it breaks’, her fist in a tight grip as she controlled the wires to stay firm and tight.

The wall shook as the wire continuously tighten around it, Sumi’s teeth clenched hard as she wielded it to keep going, not backing down, she wasn’t until that wall was in pieces.

Blood trailed from her nose due to the amount of energy she used, but she didn’t care nor did she stop. She growled releasing her fist, the wall instantly cracked before breaking apart.

Sumi took a harsh breath, her palm against her knees as she tried to catch her breath... she then chuckled.

"Did it!"

"This concludes it then," Anzai said.

Sumi raised her head.

"Get some rest", with a snap of his fingers he glitched out.

Sumi’s eyes went wide as her mouth dropped, HE WASN’T REAL? she had no idea!

"Miyuki Sumi... current level... Sp3: Level 5" Touka announced. She then sighed taking a seat exhausted.

"First stage complete, Anzai" she turned her chair to face where Anzai lay.

Suddenly he was up, he held his head for a minute.

"Anzai"

He raised his head.

"Now for the analysis," he said in a serious tone, it was time for their next main goal.

Touka nods with a stern look.

"Shouldn’t you seat, Anzai?" Touka asked worried, she was surprised he still stood there after coming out of the system. Anzai was really a tough man.

"Nah I’m good just feel lightheaded... how’s it coming up?" He said with a nudge of his head.

Touka turned to the multiple interface screens before her showing several analyses of the 10 bio-genetics.

"Well it’s still in process but I’m almost there," she said clicking on some, and observing them before her fingers typed against the keyboard.

"This training second objective was a success... it just wasn’t about breaking a wall but about testing the limits of their power and how far they can go" Touka began enlarging some screens.

"I made sure I monitored their cells closely and also how the virus reacts with their body... Energy is the motion of particles and particles make up matter. We cannot touch motion but we can sense and feel it. Therefore, we can only sense and feel the energy and its effects, but in the bio-genetics case with the virus, we can see the energy their body can produce, the energy is like a source of their powers just like their blood".

"Some of them are one with their blood weapon just like Mosu... he’s able to wield his weapon like its a part of him, making him symbiotic with it" she explains showing Mosu and his blood weapon.

"Therefore he’s ready for the next stage"

"And the others?"

"Mirai was able to release the true potential of her blood weapon along with Ren, Kaneki, Yuki, Shino, Sumi, Raiden. These names mentioned are now symbiosis with their blood weapons"

"But?" Anzai asked knowing there was more, he knew two names weren’t mentioned yet.

"Hiro’s has always been a strange case as well as how his blood weapon evolved, but we know he has the strongest energy flow than the others due to why he mutated differently," she said turning him.

"In order words, Hiro is not yet symbiotic with his blood weapon"
