"Mirai was able to release the true potential of her blood weapon along with Ren, Kaneki, Yuki, Shino, Sumi, Raiden. These names mentioned are now symbiosis with their blood weapons"

"But?" Anzai asked knowing there was more, he knew two names weren’t mentioned yet.

"Hiro’s has always been a strange case as well as how his blood weapon evolved, but we know he has the strongest energy flow than the others due to why he mutated differently," she said turning him.

"In order words, Hiro is not yet symbiotic with his blood weapon"

"I see"

"But he can go through with the second stage along with the others, he has the potential... But there’s a risk he might sky jump in his level again" she said.

"That will be a problem," Anzai said for certain.

"Yes it will if we aren’t careful, level 15 at their age is the maximum, any higher than that could kill them or worse"

Anzai gulped.

"Don’t worry Anzai I will think of something for Hiro" she assured him.

He smiled.

"And as for Mizuki, I found out why he could phase like Daiki"

"What’s the reason?"

"When I checked his cells there was nothing new there like his own special traits"

"So what are you saying Touka?"

"I’m saying that Mizuki mimicked Daiki’s abilities to phase"

Anzai’s eyes went wide in awe.

"That damn kid... he turned his mimicking habit into an ability?"

Touka sighs before nodding.

Anzai snickered.

"In order words that should be his special trait" she shrugs.

Anzai sighed, running his finger in his hair.

"Guess that can’t be helped can it?"

"As for Shino I did some observation... turns out he can pause time"

"Pause time? Is that even possible?"

"Not exactly in his own case he’s actually speeding up his body movement, in doing so the rest of the world around him are paused while he’s the only one moving... because of this it consumes his energy, my guess he rarely uses it because of that" Touka explained.

"Well this is interesting... its almost like they are evolving"

"Not exactly..." she states moving some screens to show Anzai.

"The virus in their cells are evolving... it’s like their energy is becoming stronger"

"What about the death clocks on their heads? The Sp4 stage?"

"That’s still a fact... definitely if they cross that stage they will die, but we needn’t worry about that because SPS can still slow it down... what I’m more worried about is the evolving stage they are in... it’s a mystery, the virus isn’t just mutating them... it’s making them stronger and why?"

"So you’re saying whoever made this virus that could only affect a certain amount of kids, making them stronger is part of their plan?" Anzai said puzzled, it was also like a fact but didn’t make sense at all, a virus that created a different race of species who now think they are the dominating predator.... also the same virus the reason they had super kids... also making them powerful? It was confusing.

"If this virus is intended on making them powerful there must be a reason for it... there must be a goal" Touka said.

"Well, it’s a mystery to us... just like how the person responsible for this is still a mystery" Anzai said as his eyes narrowed, his mind still drifting back to the case of the X-file.

"None of this makes sense," Touka said with trembling eyes, she wanted so badly to understand this so that she can help the kids more... they knew their chances of a cure for them was highly impossible because the structure of the virus could not be detected, it was almost like an unknown variant to them. At least if not that... she wanted them to adapt to it and no longer be afraid of the virus but can she make that happen when she had no understanding of this particular virus... she was a doctor and a scientist for crying out loud. Her fist clenched hard at the thought, and yet it was like she couldn’t do a damn thing.

Her body flinched when she felt Anzai’s hand against her shoulder, she turned to him, he had a smile fixed on his lips.

"Anzai" her eyes trembled.

"We will get through this... as soon as we end this war we can study the virus to a point of no break, it may take years but maybe just maybe in those years we can understand it and more find a cure," he said with a smile against his lips, he wasn’t a doctor or a scientist but he knew and believe in the time to come they will surely unravel all the mysteries surrounding the Sp-Virus, all they needed was time to do so and ending this war would give them that.

Touka smiled warmly at him, his words gave her courage, courage to keep going even though they thought all hope was lost, that was just the kind of man Anzai was... a man who had been through a lot but kept going no matter what and gave hope... he wasn’t just hoping for her but for the bio-genetics.

"Mm," she made a sound nodding her head, Anzai’s smile broaden.

Their gaze fixed on each other for what seemed like seconds.

"Ahem"

They froze at the sound, they turned to Akio who was before them.

"Sorry but hope I’m not interrupting something"

"I-Interrupt what?" Touka mouthed as her cheeks turned red.

"There’s nothing to interrupt," Anzai said chuckling nervously scratching the back of his hair.

"Okay then," Akio said with a shrug.

"Ahem!" he cleared his throat once again as his looks turned serious.

"The Strike Team are currently asleep, by your orders they are already moved to their new bedrooms" he announced.

Anzai and Touka looked at each other before nodding.

Level 9: Strike Team Lodge

Hiro stirred awake, groaning holding his head, slowly opening his eyes.

"You’re awake", He heard a voice, it was Yuki’s.

"Yuki?" He said in a daze seating up.

"Don’t push yourself too hard... you’re recovering"

"Hiro you’re awake"

"Shino?"

"Yeah it’s me," Shino said with a smile against his lips.

Hiro froze when he felt the 8 others.

"Wait the rest of you are here?"

"Yeah, got a problem?" Mosu said irritated.

Ren elbowed him.

"Well Hiro... we just woke up and found ourselves in the same room, seems like we’re all gonna be roommates now," Ren said beaming at the idea.

Mosu eyelid twitch.

"Why are you smiling?".

"How long are we gonna be separated from the others?" Mirai said.

"General Anzai did say our training will hold for six months," Shino said.

"So we aren’t gonna see the others for six months," Raiden said folding his arms.

Mizuki nods.

"Seems like it... but here doesn’t seem so bad," he said in amusement seeing the white room hall that looked exactly like their previous ones, except there wasn’t any demarcation.

Sumi sighed.

"Well this is annoying, stuck together," Sumi said, she was seated on her bed, a hand against her jaw.

"General must have a reason for this... maybe he wants us to get along" Shino reasoned.

Kaneki’s stomach growled loudly.

"Forget that I’m starving!" he growled.

"Look there’s a map direction here," Mirai said observing it.

"Great we are still in Level 9, which means the hall we trained isn’t so far from here"

"Hmm... so we’re gonna be staying in this level for the next six months training our ass out... while the rest will just be having fun," Mosu said collapsing on his bed, hands behind his neck.

"Lucky them!"

Level 10: Training Facility

Ryu collapsed against the floor, drenched in sweat and taking stable breaths.

"T...that’s i-it I can’t take it anymore!" he said with spinning eyes.

Usagi beside him had the same expression too.

"Days without sleep," Mary said with anime tears.

For the past few days, General Anzai has left them with a vigorous assignment to complete, consisting of different training, their bodies entirely broken down from it.

"How could he still have time for us while training the strike team?" Kaname said unbelievingly.

"He ain’t human!" Saho said shivering.

Ten forced his body up.

"Come on guys if we don’t take out these robots before he gets here then we will face his wrath," he said shivering, his bones making readjusting sounds.

In response to his words, the robot rose to its feet, on the go.

"They just won’t end!" Himari said with anime tears.

"Their bodies are super hard to destroy, they just keep getting back up!" Fuijo said like he was losing his mind.

"My guess is Engr. Kazuya made some modifications to them, I think they can withstand our attacks" Ten said adjusting his glasses.

"No fair" Sakura pouts.

The robot’s eyes beamed dangerously before launching at them in speed.

"Here they come!" Ten barked.

Their eyes changed their bio-genetics ones, the iris color changed to bright crystal blue like a diamond of mixed shade of light and dark with a hint of red lines in it, forming a crack moving around, the pupil darkens more and extended.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHH" they gave a loud battle cry in unison as they launched at the robots too.
