Chapter 243: Last quest on Erok. Part 1

"Akira, your moments are a bit slow. Try to fix your posture a bit so you can swing your sword more efficiently. The healers stays behind, 2 magicians on both sides and a swordsman in front. Your party is lacking a tank but considering your strength, I guess you can manage it well."

"Yes, professor. Everyone!! Get on to your position. We are going to fight the boss monster now. Follow the professor’s instructions!"

"YES!"

Viktor was levitating in the air and watching the hero party’s fight in a dungeon. He was in charge of taking care of the heroes’ growth so he took them into a dangerous dungeon far away from the capital city.

They were all frightened to see monsters big as a huge 10-story building but after seeing it get knocked out by Viktor with one slap, they started to believe in their strength and began to work hard.

After a week of non-stop dungeon raids, they were able to reach level 80.

’Hum... they are the strongest humans on Erok at this point. My prey is growing up slowly. I bet Azazel will be very happy to find a good opponent to test his strength. Since he is an undead, he won’t die even if his core gets shattered. I can just flick one finger and, done. He will simply form another body with all the dust floating around.

Heheh.. I can’t wait to see their faces when they find out he wasn’t the real demon lord.’

"Professor!!! What’s with his pressure!!!"

Viktor snapped out of his thoughts and saw they had already opened the door of the boss monster’s room. It was a poison naga with 3 tails, not heads and each of them had venomous pointy needles.

"Ah, that monster is level 82. It’s just a 2 level difference. You guys can beat it."

"Like hell we can beat that!! We can barely kill a monster which is the same as our level! How can you assume that we can kill that damn monster!! Going inside that room is suicide!!"

"Shut up, brat!! You’ve already opened the door so you guys are already its target. Even if you run, it will chase you until you’re dead."

"But professor!!!"

"Enough with buts."

Viktor came down and went inside the room where the naga was sitting in the middle of a huge chamber. It wasn’t showing his hostility to Viktor for his spirit-like presence, it looked at those heroes with a murderous look.

"P..professor.."

"I will heal you guys if you get hurt. Think of it as a loop-throwing game where you have 3 loops and one target. Even if you miss two, you still have one loop to throw. Imagine you guys have 3 lives."

"Like a game!! Life is not a video game!!" Akira barked.

Viktor wanted to answer that he would give him extra life but then he remembered that he was supposed to act like a person who was born in Erok and had no idea what a video game is. So he replied, "Video game? What is that?"

"Oh... Sometimes I forget that we’re living in a world where a light bulb isn’t even allowed to glow. Inventing video games is beyond one’s imagination."

"Video games or whatever that is, I don’t care. I just want you guys to give all you have and kill that snake bastard. If you guys are able to beat that, I will give you magic items that I made for everyone."

"Magic items?" Everyone looked at Viktor with glossy eyes.

"Yes, a bonded item for everyone. Only the owner can lift and touch the item." Viktor winked at them and pointed his finger at the snake.

"Buckle up, a tail incoming..."

"Huh?"

The moment they looked at the snake, a tail came out of nowhere and sent them flying with one smack. All 6 of them made a crater on the wall and puked blood.

"I told you to be careful, tsk tsk!! Weaklings..." Viktor complained and healed them instantly.

’Ugh.. how many times has it been? 20? 21? I’ll have to ask for payment because of all the times I’ve used healing magic on them.’

Viktor then walked away from the battleground and took a seat on his staff to check the reports of Radium. After he received a full basket of those fruits, he ate one out of curiosity which was filled with Qi, the raw supplement for increasing one’s divine Qi stage.

So he wanted to regrow a tree out of its seed but sadly, there was no seed. Without a seed, a plant can’t grow so he started to experiment with it by extracting its DNA.

The nectar machine wasn’t built so he started to research its origin. After one month of research, he discovered that one string of its DNA was capable of holding the weight of a few hundred universes.

And he ate that precious fruit shamelessly...

Still, he had 2 dozen of those fruits so he preserved them and used various trees he stole from the underground to try mixing their genetic properties.

None of them reacted but one did. The black rose with a dark orb in the middle reacted with it.

’Oh? So I can recreate a new type of this fruit’s species. If I can make it, then I can plant the new ’Universal tree’ in my dimensional space. But before that, I need to make another dimensional room so it can grow as big as it wants. With my current power, I can make a room that can hold a whole country.

A universal tree is bigger than a solar system so I need to make a huge.. no. A genetic dimensional room that can hold its weight.’

Viktor scratched the back of his head and said, ’Radium, how many infinite mana stones will it take to grow a universal tree?’

*MASTER. The calculation says you need an "Error" amount of infinite mana stones just to fertilize its core.*

He was left speechless...

"Ah.. okay. Let’s just aim for the stars instead of the moon. How many DNA strings have you collected so far?"

*3031. The process is still going because the test subject is as big as watermelon. The calculation says we can extract about a few million strings before the fruit loses its colour.*

"About a few millions, huh? So I can genuinely make that amount of space where I need to travel at light speed to reach the other side of my room. No, thinking about it is making my head explode. Why would I even need a dimension room big as a whole universe? Am I crazy or simply out of my mind? I can literally put a whole planet in my dimension room-_-."

"No.. Let’s just forget about making a dimension room that I will never use. I have a whole room which has been empty for months."

He rubbed his face and looked at those heroes who were desperately trying to reach the naga’s head but the tails were problematic.

’Ah... I am so good at leaving my problems for later.. And now, I am stuck with these kids who can’t even kill a damn water snake. This is boring...’

He looked at the floating screen that Radium was projecting and saw the picture of the golden fruit. It was big as a watermelon but it had a hint of reddish aura on its skin. The flesh of the fruit was bright golden and its liquid, tasted sweet and fernous.

"It all started with writing a novel huh? Who knew a shut-in freelancer like me would become a damn demigod?"

He smiled and removed the floating screen with a swipe of his hand.

**Fernous is a type of sense of taste that only a spiritual person such as God and Demigod can feel or sense. It’s not sweet, blunt, sour or spicy. The closest example of Fernous is a mixed feeling of joy, calmness, excitement, satisfaction, a good sleep, drunk and sobering up, sexual pleasure**

Viktor looked at the hero party and saw most of them were exhausted. They were almost out of mana and strength because of the ongoing fight that had been going on for almost 3 hours.

The boss monster didn’t have a scratch on its body while the heroes looked like they’d die from a single blow.

"Tsk.. you guys are a mess."

He jumped from his staff and approached them by creating a barrier magic to protect them from any danger.

The barrier enveloped them and healed them instantly.

"Oi, how pathetic you kids can become huh? That monster is weaker than your cat-_-."

"I don’t have a cat powerful as that naga, professor-_-. Please don’t hurt our feelings." Akira complained and sat against a huge boulder.

Everyone in the barrier was panting even after Viktor used his healing magic on them. They were all exhausted, lacking sleep and hungry.

Viktor then shook his head and said, "If you guys give up after 3 hours of battle, how are you supposed to fight with the demon lord? You can’t just beat him in a minute. It will take more than a week of non-stop fighting if you want to win."

"A.. a week?" Akira was shocked to hear a fight can continue for a week non-stop.

"A week is the minimum time I can calculate, brat. Go and get some sleep after a meal. We will continue our hunt 12 hours later."

All of them immediately fell to the ground in exhaustion after listening to his command.

"Professor, we will rest first. Please take care of our meal."

’Tsk-_-. They are so stupid to trust their enemy. Heheh... idiots. I will have to give them a proper treatment if they comes to the realm of gods after their final death.’
