Chapter 203: A flower girl

Why does a tower that kills gods exist in the realm of heaven? Does it serve any purpose? Or is it just a plot of the god of dungeons to prepare the gods for his ultimate plan?

No, before the tower was created, he created dungeons so everyone can hunt, test his strength and aim for the upper realms. His main objective was to make heaven a peaceful place where all gods lived the same. He didn’t want to see any discrimination between gods and immortals so he set up dungeons.

But everything comes with a price.

Soon, so many gods and demigods died and the king gods announced that everyone should stop going inside. But the dungeons remained as they were.

After a while, a huge tower appeared in the middle of heaven that pierced through every sky realm. The civilians of the heaven were curious but when they found out it was a tower made by the god of dungeons, they quickly left the place and the tower remained untouched.

But there were always adrenaline junkies who love adventure, went inside the tower and never came back.

The god of dungeons never revealed why he made such things and locked the door to his territory. Since then, nobody has seen his face.

Viktor wasn’t aware of the history but he could say that the god of dungeons has some other motives. He can’t just give out powerful items that increase divine Qi stages. Also, he was surprised when he took the item from the dungeon which helped him to increase 40 levels in one go.

He was also surprised that the item was made from a nectar potion which wasn’t supposed to exist. He questioned himself why he was trying to give out items that increase everyone’s divine stages? Why was he trying to make everyone stronger?

What was his objective?

He then remembered why the lord of time appeared in front of the tower and tried to blow it up.

Then Viktor concluded that the god of dungeons knew something about the void. He knew something bad was coming so he tried his best to help everyone gain strength in a hellish way.

"I get it, but why does that damn punk have to send me into the real world and make a system like a damn game? Not just me, everyone around me has this thing called a system that shows their status."

Viktor closed his eyes and nodded after he finished talking to himself. He again said, "I see, I will be careful from now on. But why is that tank guy drilling a hole in the back of my head?"

"Oi Tinkerbell, move before I smash your head."

Viktor opened his eyes and saw the huge boulder-like shadow on the guild board. He looked back and saw it was the tank guy from the hero’s party.

Viktor slightly smirked and said, "Now I understand why the other gods fail to live. They can’t accept being human all of a sudden and act too ignorant. This is how they die in the hands of humans."

The tank guy frowned and again said, "I’m going to count to 10. 1...2...10... Boommmm!!!!!"

He clapped his hands against each other to pop Viktor’s head with brutal force. The shockwave blew away all the quest papers from the board.

The guild became silent.

"Hm? There is no bug?" The tank guy complained after finding out that there was nobody dead. Viktor wasn’t there, his whereabouts were elsewhere.

’He can’t even count to ten. What is he, a child-_-?’

"Excuse me lady, I want to take this quest. Will that be okay?" Viktor showed a request to the receptionist. Nobody saw how Viktor got away from a B rank’s grasp but somehow he did it.

Viktor was sweating hard but he thanked the knowledge he got from an ancient god.

’I barely got away alive, let’s just run away and come back right after 13 days.’

The lady accepted his mission and told him to go to the next village called Oziana. He then snatched the paper from her and jumped out of the window instead of using the door because the tank guy was looking all over for him.

He ran out of the guild and headed to the market district. He sat beside the market road.

He was exhausted after running and he had only 1 mp left. He used 3 mp to use a skill in his current body.

"Tsk.. these damn restrictions are making me so tired. When will I be able to lift all of them? Besides, the quest I took is 10 km away. And finding a rare herb? My hands have become so expensive that they can’t read the room. Why would I select this damn quest out of everything?"

Viktor looked at the crowd passing by on the street, minding their own businesses. It was a peaceful village with a small tower on the central street.

The bell rang seven times and suddenly, he saw a flock of pigeons orbiting around it. They were waiting for the bell to stop ringing so they could sit on it again.

Viktor looked at the sky and saw three suns in a row, slowly coming up. They weren’t that bright so the light they were making was comparable to the sun. It was warm, peaceful and beautiful.

Suddenly, a girl appeared in front of him with a basket of fresh white flowers. "Good morning, magician brother. Do you want some fresh Rimis?"

Viktor looked at the flower that he had never seen before. They were absolute trash compared to the flowers on Helsia but the soft smile of the small girl was incomparable. Even though she was wearing rag-like clothes, her smile gave off an angelic aura.

"But I don’t have any changes, little girl." The girl became astonished to see his beauty, especially his silver eyes. His white hair suddenly poked out of his hoodie and reflected the sunlight.

The girl said, "Are you a prince?"

Viktor chuckled and replied, "No, I am not a prince. I am just an ordinary person who started his life as an adventurer. Let’s see. If you can tell me where I can find this rare herb in this village forest, I will give you one silver coin." Viktor showed her a shiny silver coin and again said, "It’s a good deal, isn’t it?"

The girl looked at the paper in his other hand and said, "I live in the orphanage near the forest. Sister said that it’s not safe to go inside the forest because there are monsters. But I negated her words and went inside once. I am not sure if anyone has discovered the place yet, but I’ve seen similar-looking plants there. I will show it to you so follow me."

’Huh? That easily? Is my luck that good?’

Viktor stood up but the lack of mana was making him feel dizzy. His mana was slowly recovering but the process was too slow. At that rate, it would take him half a day to recover his full mana.

Viktor started to follow the small girl out of the village and went inside the forest. He saw a small river right after entering so he asked, "Is this water safe to drink?"

"Yes. It’s safe to drink. But drink from the middle of the stream."

Viktor took off his boots and walked in the middle of the shallow river. He then ducked his head under the water like an actual duck and filled his stomach with it.

The girl who was sitting beside it was speechless to see his act.

"Ah!! My soul feels like it’s back to life. Hey kid, do you like fish?"

"Fish? Yes. I ate one last year in the new year celebration."

Viktor again ducked his head underwater and caught five big salmon. He threw them at the riverbank and said, "Let’s eat them after we check the plant I’m looking for."

"Woo!!! You caught them that easily? You are very skilled!!"

"Heheh! No animal can defy my words so yea.."

"What?"

"Nothing, let’s go."

’I can’t say her that I’m a demigod, right-_-? This might create unnecessary problems because I know nothing about this world and people’s culture. They might even pin me like Jesus if I say I’m a demigod or any deity.’

Viktor and the small girl slowly followed the river stream and after an hour, they reached a place where Viktor felt no human footsteps but one.

There was a small pond surrounded by long trees. The girl showed him a small hole in a gigantic tree and said, "This is the entrance. Follow me!"

"Wait, why would a small child like you walk around the forest and crawl inside a suspicious-looking hole?"

"I was looking for a place to build a house."

’This girl got some guts...’

Viktor then knelt in front of the small entrance and started to crawl after putting his staff inside his small inventory. He crawled for a minute in a dark place and came out.

What he saw after that left him speechless.
