Viktor knew all along that someone from the upper realm will come down to Helsia for giving out a quest in the guild of the central town. But it was three months ahead of the current time and he had a 0.00001 percent chance of meeting the man before that.

Also, there were 0.00001 percent chances of meeting him on the tree so he was quite surprised. Because of his low future predicting skill, there were too many variables in the future. For that, he was always on guard and paid attention to the most peculiar events of the future.

There weren’t any chances of it happening but truthfully, the chances were never zero.

Tower, a fantasy-like building also made by Ashter connected every realm together but it doesn’t open any gates to it. Usually, a tower is the same as in fantasy books and it has monsters in every floor trail.

Then if it exists in the realm of gods, how do humans know about this and make anime out of it?

It’s very simple.

All the gods, demigods and immortals who had died inside the tower were sent back to the mortal realm to repeat their reincarnation circle. Once they are born, some of them see episodes of their past life in their dreams.

Then they start to recreate it on paper and eventually it becomes a part of their entertainment. That’s why mortals know all that stuff even though they’ve never seen it.

Now here comes another question. What happens to the territory when the ruler dies? What happens to him if he is sent back to the mortal realm?

The answer is, he has to complete his reincarnation circle and go back to Helsia after receiving his name. Then he can again start to cultivate his core and achieve divine Qi all over again. It’s a long journey so he has to work so hard to retrieve his territory back.

And what happens when a territory loses its owner? Simple, it gets lost in the void or gets owned by another god 7 days after his disappearance. So, the god who loses his territory had to build all over again or fight with the person who took over his lands.

’The realm of gods is a chaotic place-_-,’ Viktor stared at the campfire and complained about how chaotic the realm was. Kobayashi agreed with his statement and said, "Well, Viktor. Tell me what kind of god do you want to become?"

They were sitting on a huge tree branch and lit a small campfire on it. Viktor was curious so he took some fruit from the tree and started to make some jam. Since Gods don’t need food, Kobayashi had never tasted anything cooked. So he gave Viktor permission to make some if he wishes to share.

Viktor then said, "I.. I don’t really know.."

Kobayashi then took off his mask. He smiled and then replied, "When I was a child, I wanted to be the king of the forest. I was an elf in the mortal world. I wasn’t born a god or a demigod. When I first came to Helsia, I was weak, small and knew nothing. All I wanted to do was to walk around trees, communicate with them and live with them. The trees accepted me as their owner and suddenly, I became the demigod of a small forest. Slowly, I gained powers, gained knowledge, became clever and soon, I became a god one day. But that damned Ashter had to build a damn tower in my territory. I forbid him to do that because it was harming my trees but who stops that dungeon maniac? My trees started to die one by one and I had to run from this realm to that realm asking for help. Not a soul accepted my quest even though I am nobody’s enemy."

Viktor looked at the god’s face and became astonished. His eyes were glittering green and his hair looked like long golden spider silk. He looked like a handsome 25-year-old man with no facial hair.

His thin hands were decorated with thin-lined golden tattoos and green nails. His pointy ears were also decorated with dazzling golden earrings that had the symbol of trees imprinted on them.

Viktor then mumbled, ’So this is what a god looks like... He looks like a piece of art.’

Kobayashi smiled and said, "Surprised? But I’m not because others tend to lose their mind after gazing into my eyes. You have a powerful barrier inside your body, don’t you?"

Viktor shook his head and said, "Well, you’re still no match for Adonis."

"I always had confidence in my beauty but after listening to you, I guess I need to see his face now."

"He is currently busy with putting up my camp. He will come here after he is finished. Anyway, the fruit jam is cooked. Crackers or bread?"

"Bread."

Viktor took the bread out of his dimension room and offered him a full plate of sandwiches. Kobayashi was excited to try human cooking after a long time.

"Umm!!! This is good! Viktor, you should become the god of food! It will be a waste if you don’t become one."

"I don’t want to cook food that I can’t eat. Besides, Adonis can also cook good food so I don’t need to cook everyday."

"You cook and eat everyday?" Kobayashi was surprised.

"Hm, it’s just a habit of mine. Anyway, tell me about the upper realm of gods."

"The height realm? Hm... it’s a place where everything floats on the cloud. You don’t need roads or ground to walk. You don’t even need to walk to reach your destination. One ruler has an infinite territory and it’s filled with the purest souls. And all the conflicts happen from the realm lower than that. It’s the most chaotic place in the whole sky realms."

Viktor listened to his stories all night long in front of the campfire above the tree peacefully. Kobayashi became his story-telling grandpa so he enjoyed it very much.

Kobayashi was also surprised that someone was listening to his non-stop babbling for more than hours. So he started to talk about his life when he was an elf in the mortal realm. Viktor was also stunned to hear that he rules a whole world at once. So he hushed, ’No wonder you’re a great god who rules lots of lands now. You were born to be a great ruler, a great god.’

Kobayashi heard that and chuckled by covering his face with his long sleeve. He then removed the breadcrumbs from his hand and said, "It’s my first time eating such ordinary but delicious food made by a demigod. As a reward, I will be your spouse if you win the tournament as a demigod. I will help you to become a god if you clear the quest."

Viktor gazed at the fire in front of him and replied, "Let’s see if I truly need your help."

"Why, you don’t want any help from me?"

"I’ve offered a business deal to Lucifer before coming here. If my business gains popularity, I will climb up to the noble rank in no time."

Kobayashi’s eyes nearly came out of his skull. He then screamed, "Who??? Lucifer??? Oh my god!!!!"

"You are a god -_-. Whom are you asking for help from-_-."

"How did you even contact him? Do you know how hard it is to satisfy him? Just forget about that, he’s a damn king god who sits next to Odin and the others. How did you even send him a business deal?"

"He sent me a letter first. He offered to become my spouse but I rejected him."

Kobayashi rubbed his whole face in frustration and again screamed, "You did whaaaaaaat!!??"

"My ears-_-."

A flock of birds flew out of the forest in a rush after they heard Kobayashi’s scream. He then grabbed Viktor’s collar and said, "Why did you reject his offer? That was one in an infinite chance of becoming a noble god in no time!"

Viktor partly closed his eyes and said, "It was a scam-_-."

Kobayashi stopped shaking him by his collar after hearing that it was a scam. He again said, "What? A scam? Tell me about it."

"God can’t spouse a demigod before the tournament, right? But he wanted to make me his guardian before that. Isn’t that illegal? Moreover, he tried to bribe me with five mana stones."

"Mana stone as a bribe, giving out sponsorship to a non-succeed demigod. Looks like he’s plotting something big this time-_-. But what kind of business are you planning to do with him?"

"I will sell him artificial mana stone and get Nectar for exchange."

Kobayashi’s eyebrows became filled with wrinkly waves and said, "How do you know about Nectar? And artificial mana stone? Who in heaven can make artificial mana stone?"

"I can-_-. Do you want one?"

Kobayashi was left speechless.
