Chapter 186: A servant

*Congratulations on clearing the dungeon. For completing the quest within an incredibly short time, special dungeon items will be rewarded to the participants. The participants will use them as they like.*

Viktor and Adonis received the items and they were immediately thrown out.

Usually, the dungeon challengers are from the realm of the heavens. Since they were always among the gods and demigods, their worst fear is on another level. If their nightmare takes real form, it becomes so hard to fight it.

But if a participant is from the mortal realm, their fear takes the form of someone he knew in the past.

Viktor’s test was a bit unusual. His quest was the main one and Adonis was there as his team member. As a result, the strength between the boss and Adonis grew so big that it caused a glitch.

Viktor on the otherhand didn’t even care about doing the quest the hard way so he just dropped a bomb on his house and cleared the dungeon right away.

Hence, both of them came out there alive.

Viktor glared at Adonis and said, "Are you happy now?"

"Here’s my expensive watch as a token of apology. I won’t make that kind of mistake ever again."

Viktor looked at the watch that he made and said, "Keep it, it’s a gift for making it out of there alive."

"Thank you, master."

At that moment, Mors approached them and said, "Where have you been? We were looking all over the area for you two. Come out, someone is causing a little problem."

Viktor then said, "Who it might be?"

"Don’t know. It’s a child."

Viktor and the two walked out of the forest to see who it was. He knew there was someone who would come to his camp soon but it was sooner than he predicted. He then looked at his record and read the future to make strategies and then, he saw the child standing next to the campfire.

Viktor then asked, "Who are you?"

The child looked at Viktor and replied, "Make me your servant. I will deliver you so much information about Tali everyday."

Viktor then noticed something. The small child wasn’t a child. It was a demigod with stage 1 divine Qi. She was much older than any of us and she was known as the black merchant. She saw a group of people heading inside the forest so she followed them from far away and waited for the right moment to come.

Moreover, she wasn’t looking straight into Viktor’s eyes. Her eyes were fixed on Adonis. She mistook Adonis as the leader of the group and made him her target. Viktor wasn’t even on her list.

Viktor held back his laughter and kept his expression cool. He knew where this was going so he continued his act. He then said, "No, I don’t take in servants."

The child was a demigod but she was pretending to be an immortal by hiding her divine Qi. She was targeting them to reach the upper realm by deceiving them.

The girl then laughed and said, "You lowly servant dared to talk in front of the great lord!!" She then approached Viktor hurriedly and grabbed his hand. Kneel in front of my lord now!"

Viktor was hiding his divine Qi too, that’s why she mistook him as an immortal who was acting high and mighty in front of Adonis.

*Master, should I kill her?*

*No, let’s see how good and loyal she is. Accept her as your servant and play with her a little bit. Don’t worry, she’s not stronger than any of us. She might entertain me a little too.*

Viktor then walked away from Adonis and raised both of his hands happily, "Oh my, my apologies."

The child then said, "Know your place, your filthy bug." She then looked at Adonis’s heavenly beauty and said, "Oh, my lord. I feel so sorry for you. I’m shocked to see you’re being served by an insect. Please let me have the honour to serve you."

Viktor again said through telepathy, *Adonis, once you take her in as your servant, she will have a bond just like we have one between us. So make sure to make a proxy bond. Not a real one.*

*Understood, master. But what do you intend to do with her?*

*With her...hmm, a little fun.* Viktor grinned at the girl from behind and then started to walk in the opposite direction.

Adonis then said, "Well then. State your name."

The child replied, "I am Hika. I do not have a surname."

"All right then Hika. I, Adonis North, the great demigod of destruction, is accepting Hika as my second servant. From now on, you will be under my care."

The child raised her head and said, "My lord. As your loyal servant, I advise you to strip that white hair boy from his servant position. He’s an eyesore."

At that moment, Welis walked closer and said, "That man isn’t his servant. I am."

Hika was confused. So she asked, "What do you mean?"

"That man is.."

Adonis then spoke before she could finish her sentence, "Welis, don’t speak without my permission." Welis nodded and stepped back.

Adonis then smiled at the child and said, "So Hika, how did you notice me? Do you know who I am?"

"I noticed you when you walked inside the town. I immediately knew you were more powerful than Tali so I left the city to search for you. I think my luck is with me. I’m glad to become your servant."

"Don’t skip the question with sugar-coated words. I asked you if you knew me or not. I don’t want to know how glad or sad you are to become my servant. You’re forgetting one thing. I am a demigod of destruction. You know what it means, right?"

The child gulped some air and replied, "Y..yes. I remember. But my lord. Are you angry that I made fun of that lowly bug? My lord, you shouldn’t let that man walk around you like that. He’s not even your servant."

Adonis looked away and replied, "Just ignore him. Don’t cause any problem with him. Alright? Now help Welis to prepare some food."

The child’s expression became shiny and said, "I’d love to!!"

...

Meanwhile on a huge tree...

Viktor climbed a massive tree to the grape territory with his pendant. He wanted to rest peacefully so he chose a tree and made it his treehouse.

The tree was a fruit tree so when he climbed it, the tree branches started to move and offer Viktor its fruit in front of his mouth.

They were so tasty that Viktor couldn’t stop eating them. He then said, "I wonder if I could make some high-quality wine with this. Well, I think I should wait since it’s heaven. I can get more tastiest fruit if I climb up."

He then looked at the dungeon item in his hand. ’This has 40 levels of divine Qi stored. 40 levels, that 200 years of nonstop hardwork. No wonder all the immortals went crazy for his items.’

At that moment, a man talked from the next tree with a mask on. "That looks so powerful. Mind if I take a look?"

Viktor immediately put that inside his mouth and ate it. He then looked at the tree next to him and saw a man with a white dress and a mask sitting on a thick branch.

The man said, "Ah, why did you eat it? I wanted to see it. Why is my luck so bad!"

Viktor then said, "You’re the ruler of this forest. Aren’t you? About time you snowed up."

The masked man smiled and said, "Ah, the newcomer is well-known about Helsia. Let me introduce myself. I am Yuu Kobayashi, the god of little forests. And you are?"

"I’m Viktor E. North, the god of all living records."

"All living records? So you can look into people’s private things? Eh!!! You’re a pervert, aren’t you?"

Viktor laughed and replied, "Maybe I am. But what is a powerful God doing in the lowest realm?"

"Me? I have territories all over the realm of heaven and gods. Why? Is it unusual to look after my lands?"

"I can’t look into your record since you’re much more powerful than I am right now. But I can see that you’re here to ask for my help in the future. So, how much are you willing to pay?"

"Little boy, you’re very clever. I have high hopes for you. I didn’t have any intention of asking for your help now. But I guess I’ll be needing it in the future. So I won’t wait since I’m in grave danger."

Kobayashi’s expression changed. He then took a scroll out of his sleeve and threw it towards Viktor. He then said,

"It’s an important quest. Since you can see into the future, I hope you can complete it without any flaws."

Viktor opened the scroll and saw a request to clear a tower that is connected all over the realm of gods and heaven.

The tower was like bronze to the forest so he wanted to remove it. But nobody took his request because going inside a tower is suicide. Moreover, there wasn’t any powerful god who would sacrifice his time on another god’s problem.

So he became frustrated and came down to his lowest realm territory to rest. At that moment, he saw a demigod looking at a dungeon item in his hands.

He then went to talk with him but he didn’t expect him to have prediction ability. He was seeing light again.

Viktor then said, "You’re saying that all the items I will get from the tower will be mine? And you will give me an additional prize to clear the tower?"

"Yes."

"So you’re getting nothing."

"No, my territory is going to be rescued. That’s all I want."

Viktor then looked through his future and smiled. He then said, "Well then, I am accepting this quest from a great god."
