"Who is it?" Dora rubbed her eyes sleepily, and dragged herself to the door.

There was a knock again, but this time, louder.

"I said hold on," her lips turned down, "Who is that anyways?" She muttered to herself.

She got to the door, turned the door knob, and opened it.

A hand went over her mouth, "Huh?"

"Hey!" She managed to scream once but he overpowered her.

She kicked around fiercely, trying to get away from whoever was trying to hold her captive, but he was too strong for her.

He blindfolded her eyes, gagged her mouth, and tied her hands.

"We have a score to settle," she heard his voice.

"Who are you?! Let me go right now!"

Her eyes locked with a she wolf. She had an oval face, with long lustrous hair cascading down her shoulders and back. Her eyes were a mixture of green and brown, she had a small nose, and full, rosy pink lips.

"Wh- who are you?" She managed to ask.

"I am now your mother-in-law," she replied coldly, her eyes dark, as she straightened her shoulders.

Dora’s eyes almost popped out of her sockets, "Excuse me? Who are you? I am not married, maybe you must have mistaken me for your daughter-in-law. I am sorry but that is not me."

The she wolf threw her head backwards and laughed softly, "Is that so? I am not mistaking you for anyone.. I never make mistakes," she brought her head down again to face her, "I am Lunaris, Kaelos’s mother."

"Kaelos? Who is that?"

Lunaris furrowed her brows, "The father of your child of course, who else?"

She drew her head backwards, "Wait.. Kaelos? Father of my.."

Her eyes widened, "Wait.. Neriah?!"

"His name is Kealos," she sighed.

Dora’s eyes softened, "Kaelos?"

"Yes."

Her eyes teared up, "That rogue!" She attempted to stand up, "he.. had the guts to dump me!" Her lips shook with rage, she managed to get to her feet.

Lunaris rolled her eyes, "That does not matter, we need you, that is the reason why he had to sleep with you."

"What? What do you mean?" She creased her brows.

Lunaris got to where she stood, towering above her, "Hm.. you are pregnant, that is all."

Dora was enraged, "I do not care about what you say, if you want me to birth this child for you, then I will not!"

Lunaris widened her eyes, "You will not kill this pup!"

Dora bit her lips, "I never said I will kill it, I only said I am not birthing this child for you or anyone, do not worry, I will bear my sin alone."

Lunaris gently tapped her forehead, "Do not be so emotional all of a sudden now, I know you are hurt and enraged, but I promised to make it up to you," she added calmly, but firm.

"I do not want anything from you! Leave me alone!" She walked towards the door.

"Dora."

She stopped in her tracks, and turned to look at Lunaris, "What?"

"You have to understand. Kealos is in dire need of an heir, I also want him to have a heir.. if he is able to present you to the pack before the next full moon, he will be able to claim his throne."

Dora stopped short, "So he.. used me because.. he wanted to ascend the throne?" Her eyes watered again.

"Yes."

Her knees grew weak, she had thought Neriah really liked her, and she had developed a liking for him too.

Her knees grew weaker, and she fell to the ground, "I can not believe he actually did this to me," her voice shook, her hands quivering.

Lunaris walked to meet her, "Do not cry my dear, it is not as if he hates you."

She slapped at her, but Lunaris quickly retreated, "How could he do this me? Sleeping with me because he wants the throne?! If that is what he wants, then I am not birthing this pup then," she got to get feet, turned on her heels, and walked towards the door.

In her rage, she didn’t notice Kaelos at the door. She bumped into him, her face meeting his chest.

"Ugh!"

"Dora.." he called softly.

She raised her head to meet his face. Her face reddened all the more.

"You monster!" She slammed her fists in his chest.

He let her hit him, knowing fully well what she was feeling at that moment.

"I am sorry," he whispered.

"Keep your useless apology to yourself! I do not want it!" She tried walking past him but he held her back.

"Please do not go. Wait.. please."

"Leave me alone! You both are horrible people! I am not birthing this pup for any of you! It is my sin, so I am bearing it alone," she wriggled her hand out of his grip.

"Dora.. I can explain.. I promise."

"What exactly can you explain? You sleeping with me for your selfish reasons, or you betraying Oberon?"

He felt attacked by her words, his head fell, "I.. am so sorry, I swear I have an explanation," he blubbered.

"Save yourself some time by keeping them to yourself!" She turned on her heels to walk away.

"Hmph! Even the she wolf he impregnated refuses to bear his pup! Ha!"

Kaelos clenched his fists when he heard Astrid’s mocking voice.

"Begone Astrid!" Came Lunaris’s voice.

"Oh, did I interrupt something?" Astrid snickered, stopping right in front of Dora.
