He arched his brows, "Okay? What is it?"

She exhaled deeply, "Now, I have sparked off a quarrel between Aegis and his most trusted adviser probably since they were together."

"Well, I told him, I would be able to help him to get you, which is a lie of course," she twisted her lips.

Oberon sighed, "Go on.."

"So.. now.. he made me his "special adviser" which is somehow an achievement on the first day I went there."

"Oh, you are his most special adviser now?" Dora asked, her voice tinged with amusement.

She nodded, "Yes. Now, the elder who used to be his special adviser now wanted to marry me."

"Wait what? Why?!" Oberon quickly chipped in.

"It is not as if I want to marry him, of course I am not doing that. Let me finish," she huffed, throwing her hands in the air.

"Anything could happen. You can not just go around with what that guy is saying, he might really want you, you have to be more careful," he frowned.

She furrowed her brows, "Let me finish."

He squinted his eyes, "Hm, go on," he nodded thoughtfully.

"As I was saying, Aegis was enraged, he does not want me to marry his eldest adviser, his name is...uh.. what was it?"

"Wait, are you saying his eldest adviser wants to marry you for something? Because he likes you or what?"

"I do not know. That is what he told Aegis, I found out the day I passed by Aegis’s room. They were in the middle of a conversation, and I happened to eavesdrop," she chuckled.

"You are not marrying him mother, are you?"

She shook her head, "of course not, I am not doing that my dear," she ruffled his hair.

"So what now?" Elena asked.

"Now, they are at conflict, because of a letter I wrote in his name.. yes, his name was Thorne!"

"Thorne? Hm." Oberon arched his brow, "so, what do you need help with?"

She smiled satisfactorily, "together, we can create more chaos. If they are in the midst of confusion, fighting themselves, you can now come in, and take what is rightfully yours," she smiled.

His eyes softened. She was truly the one he had needed all this time.

"Wow! You are such a genius Nyx! But Oberon.. can not go back to the palace, Aegis will see that as an opportunity.."

"Do not worry, he will help me, but undercover. No one will have to notice him," she patted his hand.

Elena coughed softly, drawing their attention.

"Nyx.. you are doing a good job, and I am proud of you," she smiled, her eyes twinkling, "but I really want you to be careful. Aegis is not someone to be messed with. If you really want to do all of this, make sure to do it with that utmost care, leaving no traces behind."

"Yes, I will do my best."

She took Oberon’s hand, still facing Nyx, "I am very proud of you right now. We have failed you, yet you still go ahead and do this for us, we could never thank you enough. If there was any form of compensation you wanted, we will be able to do that for you."

Her eyes locked with Oberon’s, and she quickly looked away.

"That should be later on, for now, all I just want is his help. I have got a plan, this will definitely throw Oberon off balance."

They all listened, "So what is it?"

"His second in command, Ace is dead. I poisoned him, and of course all I used, have been planted somewhere in the Throne room. Once the conflict arrives, one of the elders will be blamed, leaving Aegis to start battling with trust issues."

Their eyes widened, "Wow. This.. so where does Oberon come in?" Dora asked thoughtfully.

"I want his help in creating a fight among the guards, since I doubt I will be able to do that."

She faced Oberon, who had his eyes fixed on her. She shivered slightly, "well, I want you to make sure this fight escalates into a very huge one, to the point Aegis has to step in."

"Then?"

"Ace’s body will be dropped in the living room."

"Huh?"

"I hid his body somewhere, so.. no one has noticed for now."

"Okay?"

"When his body is laid there, Everyone will see it, because Aegis will likely want to settle the fight as a their leader in the throne room. On their way there, they will see his body, and then they are confused."

"They might want to look for the cause of his death, and find out he has been poisoned," Oberon added.

"Then they find it in the throne room, and Aegis starts suspecting his elders because that is where they are always gathered!" Dora beamed.

"Exactly," she patted her hand.

"Wait.. why do you think Aegis will suspect his elders all because the poison was hidden there?"

"They are old already, part of their brain cells might be dieing or something," Dora shrugged, "so if they wanted to quickly hide it from someone, the throne room would be the only option since there is no other room in the palace, they can enter."

"That does not make any sense," he shook his head, "Aegis might not enter the throne room at all, the distress of that sight will keep him there, too shaken to even judge a fight."

Nyx held her chin, "hmm, I did not think of it that way.."

"It would be better if it was hidden in the living room, that would cause a distrust not only at his elders but also his own pack."

"Because, once they distrust themselves, they will be in chaos, and would not be united any longer," Elena clarified, "so taking his throne back would no longer be a problem for him."

"I see," Nyx nodded, "that means during the fight, that is when we get to hide it back in the living room."

"But we have to make sure, neither Aegis or his guards sees us."

"What about Risa?"

"I can take care of her," he scoffed.

"Then that is it then, with this, taking your pack back would be so much easier, add it to your plans, and you will be victorious."

He stood up, and walked towards her. Getting to where she sat, he pulled her up, and hugged her tightly.
