Chapter 138: Chapter 137: Capability Limit_2
"Your scales are really hard..." Angmog’s strength was far greater than Leon’s, and with unmatched power, he flipped Leon over, "But I don’t believe the scales underneath are also that hard."
Indeed, Leon’s scales were extremely hard all over his body, and the bites Angmog directed at Leon’s abdomen had no effect.
"Why aren’t you continuing?" Leon was pinned to the ground, and honestly, he should have been the embarrassed one, but facing Angmog who repeatedly failed to bite through, Leon seemed to have the upper hand. He hadn’t even activated his Vajra Body.
"Alright, alright, you’re quite pleased with yourself, how about this move then?" Angmog shook his head and smashed it onto Leon’s, who couldn’t dodge while being pressed to the ground.
Leon felt a buzzing in his head as Angmog butted him.
Leon thought he was immune to non-refined gold weapon damage and non-magic attacks including blunt strikes, puncture, and slash, but reality isn’t a game. Real-life situations are a thousand times more complex than games. One cannot simplistically claim immunity, the stuff in games can only serve as a reference.
"Now you know pain." Angmog, utterly smug, raised his paw and swung at Leon, not expecting to tear through Leon’s scales with his claws; a mere slap could also cause damage, harming the internal organs. However, after several hits, he found Leon indifferent.
Realizing that Angmog could injure him, Leon promptly intensified his Vajra Body, then furrowing his brows, he opened his forelimbs, embraced Angmog, and spat out Samadhi True Fire. It must be admitted, without using magic, he was no match for his adversary.
Leon thought he could replicate his old routine of burning the Annis Hag, but the gigantic Angmog just twisted out of his hold and escaped the range of the Samadhi True Fire.
"You have fire, I have it too." Angmog spewed Flame Breath towards Leon.
"So what?" Leon stood still amidst the fire, "Are you stupid?"
Finally realizing something, Angmog, also a Red Dragon, stopped spewing, awkward for a moment, turned his head towards Cecilia, prepared to take the Green Dragon hostage. Before he could act, the Green Dragon flapped its wings and flew up, while Leon also lunged at him, making Angmog abandon the plan to capture the Green Dragon and turned to flee.
The gigantic Angmog might have slow reactions, but once he started running, Leon couldn’t catch up. The so-called Dan Formation just enhanced his reaction speed, not his running speed.
Leon chased a bit and saw Angmog stop, "Why aren’t you running?"
"I just remembered, you just used a Spit Weapon, you can’t use it again now." Angmog grinned smugly. He obviously knew that a dragon’s Spit Weapon couldn’t be continuously used; each use must be followed by a recovery period unless one masters the recovery of Spit Weapon use, effectively reducing the interval between uses.
Angmog lunged at Leon again, but as he got close, he noticed Leon power breathing deeply, his chest glowing like hot iron, quickly turned to flee, but still got sprayed squarely, running far away before stopping to check as his scales were falling off in large patches.
"Why can you still use a Spit Weapon?" Angmog challenged.
Leon thought, he couldn’t really use the Spit Weapon; he could only use Samadhi True Fire, and said, "You guess."
"I don’t guess," Angmog said.
"Everyone, listen to my command, attack him," Angmog bellowed as he ordered all the members of the Cult of the Dragon to attack Leon," My army is endless, how much fire do you have? I don’t believe your Spit Weapon has no limitations."
As Angmog shouted, soon a swarm of cultists, including close-range and long-range fighters, as well as various monsters like flying dragons and ambush dragon beasts, rushed over.
Leon originally did not want to engage in a massacre, but now he had no choice, resolutely reciting the Soul Summoning Mantra.
The Soul Summoning Mantra had little effect on strong enemies with high exemption, but it was extraordinarily effective against those weaker enemies. As soon as the Soul Summoning Mantra was invoked, the numerous enemies who couldn’t pass the exemption began to slaughter each other mercilessly, leaving only a few in a short time.
Although not adept with sharp teeth and claws, Leon stretched out his hand and pulled out the Catastrophe Blade from thin air, combining the immobilization spell with a swing, he killed a half-red dragon cultist with a single strike.
Continuing his efforts, Leon threw the sword, activated the Sword Control Technique, and controlled the Flying Sword to pierce a flying dragon. Then, he clawed back the flying sword, using Gathering Form and Scattering Energy to disappear into the air and instantly appearing behind a spellcaster cultist, cutting the cultist in half with one sword.
Having done all this, Leon, holding the sword, pointed it towards Angmog and said, "To deal with them, I have other methods, I do not need to use fire... Show me whatever methods you have."
"If you have none, then it’s my turn," Leon plunged the sword into the ground and raised his hand to shoot a Hand Palm Bomb towards Angmog. The Samadhi True Fire could scorch souls and was still effective against enemies with flame immunity, though with reduced damage, but the Hand Palm Bomb had no such issue.
Angmog never expected that the young Red Dragon opposite him could use Lightning Magic. He endured one strike and felt it was acceptable, but after four or five strikes, he began to struggle and gradually felt fear, thinking that he might die if this continued, so he quickly took to flight.
Angmog fled, and out of nowhere, Cecilia appeared, exclaiming, "You actually drove away a mature Red Dragon."
"It’s a pity I couldn’t kill him," Leon sighed, thinking that the Hunting Demon had the capacity to kill, but facing Angmog like this was really his limit.
"You’re boasting, aren’t you? Please, boast," Cecilia shouted loudly, "He is a mature Red Dragon... definitely reached maturity, and you’re not even a teenager yet. You drove him away, what else do you want? A young Red Dragon killing a mature Red Dragon?"
Hearing Cecilia’s words, Leon felt that he performed well and thoughtfully said, "Ever since I met you, I haven’t really had a good fight... this is my full strength, did you see it today?"
"Yes, I saw," Cecilia looked at Leon, knowing the Red Dragon in front of her was strong, but never knowing he was that strong. Thinking about how she recently rejected Lord Tiamat, she now felt vindicated in her choice and, overwhelmed by emotions, couldn’t help but throw herself onto Leon.
"I want to lay eggs for you, I must lay eggs for you."
Cecilia kept licking Leon’s face incessantly.
