Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon’s Might -
Chapter 137: Limit of Ability
Chapter 137: Chapter 137: Limit of Ability
Leon finally remembered who had said something similar to him, some Annis Hag, who probably drank a Flame Resistance Potion and thought Flame Resistance could disregard his flames, daring to embrace him up close. Naturally, she was reduced to ashes by the Samadhi True Fire.
Angmog is a Red Dragon, possessing Flame Immunity, and loves bathing in molten lava thousands of degrees hot. No Hag’s potion could compare, especially being an extra-large Red Dragon with thick hide... Leon dared not think the Samadhi True Fire could kill his opponent, but it definitely could cause considerable damage.
Leon planned to set a trap for Angmog, nonchalantly provoking him: "I’m afraid I might burn you to death."
Cecilia, upon catching a glance from Leon, immediately played along: "You know well how unique my master’s fire is. You shouldn’t embarrass yourself by asking for it."
"Did I permit you to speak?" The arrogance of Red Dragons was incomparable to any other Dragon. Angmog, also a Red Dragon, maintained basic respect towards Leon, but was blunt towards the Green Dragon, "What do you even count as?"
"Hold on. What did you just call him? Master? Yes, Green Dragons are servants to Red Dragons. But if you had brains, you’d see I’m much stronger than him, so it should be obvious whom to choose as master." Angmog eyed the Green Dragon, suddenly displaying a greedy look.
Red Dragons look down on other Dragon types, seeing themselves as sovereigns, with other Dragon types beneath them, which doesn’t mean other Dragons acknowledge this. For most Red Dragons, hoping to get other Dragons to serve them is a far-fetched dream. Today appeared to be an opportunity he didn’t want to miss.
"Then let me see your majesty," Cecilia said coquettishly, entering into the fray.
Leon knew Cecilia was trying to help him, but watching her wink at Angmog still made him quite annoyed and he said: "Are you prepared? To experience my fire."
"Yeah, bring it." Angmog extended a front claw, indicating to Leon to aim at his claw. Red Dragons aren’t mindless White Dragons; since Lord Tiamat had warned, he wouldn’t take it lightly.
"If you’re scared, just say so." Leon stated coldly.
"Brother, he’s looking down on you," Cecilia said, "let him hit your chest then."
Angmog originally had no intention towards the Green Dragon, and had been quite rude, but now seeing an opportunity to take a Green Dragon as a maid, and considering the Green Dragon was indeed slender but attractive and a fully matured young dragon, he was already tempted.
At that moment, Cecilia’s comment, a challenge hard to resist by any hero, made him nod without hesitation, he sat on the ground and said, "Come on then."
Leon couldn’t help but laugh, but thinking about it, a Red Dragon with Flame Immunity never truly understood what flame damage was, even if someone had warned before, faced with a teenage Red Dragon’s fire he probably wouldn’t take it seriously.
"Don’t move..." With no courtesy, Leon took a deep breath and exhaled Samadhi True Fire.
Angmog was initially dismissive, but as soon as Leon’s Samadhi True Fire reached his chest, he felt an agonizing pain at once, choosing not to endure the pain toughly, he almost instantly leapt up, continually making motions to pat off the flames, but obviously, it wasn’t effective.
Minutes passed, the pain at his chest still faintly lingered, especially when he scratched at it, the scales dulled by the fire looked ready to fall off, Angmog glared at Leon and said: "What’s with your fire?"
"Guess." Leon said amusedly, "You asked for it, can’t blame me now."
If it were a Dragon from the Order Camp, perhaps a Blue Dragon or even an Evil Dragon such as the Green Dragon, they’d probably accept the loss, maybe seek revenge later, but Angmog was a chaotic evil Red Dragon and retorted through gritted teeth: "I let you spray and you spray—I tell you to die, why don’t you just die?"
"I might as well oblige your death wish," Leon didn’t back down.
"I think you’re the one dying." Angmog reached towards Leon’s head with a slap.
As the Dan Formation, spirit, and essence all coalesced into a single Dan, Leon’s reactions were much faster than before, slightly tilting his head to evade Angmog’s claw attack.
In dragon fights, relying on tough scales and thick skin to endure hits was usual, dodging was rare, so missing a direct claw attack was a surprise for Angmog, he remarked: "You’re quite quick."
"It’s you who’s too slow." Leon replied, and seeing Angmog’s claw coming again, ducked his head back to avoid it, like a nimble large goose.
"Keep dodging for me to see." Angmog, frustrated by consecutive failures, dashed towards Leon.
Leon showed no fear.
The two dragons clashed viciously.
Leon snapped aggressively, feeling like he was back in the past, naïvely challenging a tough chestnut. It must be said, the Mature Dragon Angmog’s scales were quite thick, and his sharp teeth and claws, despite leveraging his large frame, were merely at the level
