Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon’s Might
Chapter 117 Basic Operations of the Green Dragon

Chapter 117: Chapter 117 Basic Operations of the Green Dragon

The Marilith, Goristro, and Balor are familiar, so are the Ice Demon and Pit Fiend...

Kraken is heard of, but what kind of monster is the Tarrasque? Sounds like it might be quite formidable.

I understand the Beholder, Death Kiss, and Death Tyrant, but are there really such things as the Nest Mother’s Eye and the Elder’s Eye?

Is it possible that monsters no one recognizes simply never existed from the start? The monsters could be made up, along with their strengths and weaknesses – hearing it for the first time, it’s not impossible that it seems plausible.

That fool Cecilia exposed herself by mentioning the Green Dragon, Green Hag, and Evil Ghost before, is it possible that this tipped off that guy to everyone’s identities, stunning everyone when he blurted it out and causing us all to lose our ability to judge?

All in all, the man was just too good at pretending – acting just like a peerless master living in seclusion in the Primitive Forest.

In fact, he did nothing but move a stool with a spell from beginning to end; in daily life, he used a Lightning Magic that only targets single individuals, could it be a Magic Arrow? Other than that, he didn’t seem good at anything else – didn’t know how to use a bow, walked with an uneven gait like he wasn’t trained.

Looking at him again, he doesn’t seem to practice cultivation at all, sitting under a tree all day doing nothing and calling it cultivation? That’s called slacking off.

To spend your days hunting geese only to have the geese peck out your eyes, it’s a huge disgrace. The Green Hag couldn’t stand it any longer; she looked at Leon and asked, "I heard you’re leaving?"

"Are you all here to see me off?" Leon said with a chuckle.

Regardless of the three people’s intentions, he didn’t mind having some fun with them. After several months of purifying and cultivating, he finally succeeded in Foundation Establishment, and he was in a great mood.

"Keep pretending," the Green Hag said with her hands on her hips, "Granny Polly won’t believe you, you little rascal, anymore."

"What have I pretended to be?" Leon looked somewhat innocent; after all, he had been nothing but truthful the whole time, with no airs and graces.

"Pah!" the Green Hag bared her teeth as she spoke, "Granny Polly is going to flay you and pull out your tendons."

"Are you sure?" Leon changed his expression, "Aunt Peggy used to say the same to me, and you know how that turned out."

Leon stretched his neck, saying, "I haven’t been active for a long time, I feel like I’m getting rusty... If you all really want to play, I don’t mind joining in."

"Seriously. I’ve succeeded in my cultivation now, and I’m ready to leave, not interfering with whatever you plan to do next." Leon’s eyes narrowed slightly, "Do you really want to provoke me by going the extra mile?"

Seeing the hesitation in the group, it seemed their fighting spirit waned, which meant they also lacked confidence and weren’t sure if he was genuinely skilled; Leon couldn’t help but laugh.

"If you’re afraid to take action, then get lost." After laughing, Leon didn’t bother with the group anymore and walked away along the small path on his own.

The Green Hag watched Leon’s retreating figure but hesitated to take any action until she saw Cecilia signaling to her. In an instant, she transformed from a kind old granny into a fat, grotesque creature, silently chanting a spell, her fingers raised ready to shoot a Pathogenic Ray at Leon, but in the blink of an eye, Leon disappeared.

"He’s invisible." The Green Hag was undeniably powerful and without a hint of confusion under such circumstances, continued to chant spells, and threw a ball of green light where Leon was standing.

That was Demon Fire, which would nullify the invisibility of any creature it affected, undoubtedly the most effective spell against invisible opponents.

Leon used the spell Gathering Form and Scattering Energy to turn into a mass of Clean Energy; the Demon Fire’s hit was effective, but instead of revealing a human figure, a green-glowing mass of energy appeared.

Leon truly hadn’t expected Gathering Form and Scattering Energy to be affected by Demon Fire. Seeing the Evil Ghost transform from a middle-aged strong man into a massive monster – an Ogre with blue skin, black hair, and sharp, fang-like horns on its head, swinging a giant halberd – he immediately flew up.

"He’s flying." The Green Hag pointed at the sky, signaling to Cecilia, who had transformed into a Green Dragon, to attack. After waiting a few seconds and seeing no Green Dragon take flight, she turned to see Cecilia’s Dragon’s dull eyes and raised claws.

Leon was in the air, about to revert to Dragon Form as his human form was somewhat weaker in combat; he hadn’t seen the Green Dragon fly up but instead saw the Green Dragon turn and attack the Green Hag, one claw strike making her stumble and fall, followed by exhaling a breath of Poison Breath.

What’s going on?

Why is there infighting on the other side?

Leon noticed the Evil Ghost was also bewildered; hesitating for a moment, he flew at the Green Hag, finding an opportunity for a Breaking Stealth Strike to sever one of her hands.

"You little bitch, what are you doing?" the Green Hag screamed as she grappled with the Green Dragon, waving her hand to activate an invisible portal and turn invisible with magic.

Leon had the Heavenly Eye Technique; invisibility was ineffective against him, and his half-sword throw accurately hit the Annis Hag’s back, followed by releasing a Hand Palm Bomb.

It wasn’t until Leon and Green Dragon Cecilia partnered up to kill the Green Hag that the Evil Ghost still hadn’t realized what was happening, still unclear about the situation.

Leon had not made any prior arrangement with the Green Dragon, thus after he had slain the Green Hag, he immediately cast a wary glance towards the Green Dragon.

Cecilia did not look at him but turned to the Evil Ghost, who didn’t know what to do, and said, "The old witch is dead, do you still want to fight? Unless you want to die, drop your weapons and surrender, I guarantee your life."

After pondering for a moment, the Evil Ghost realized that there was no chance of winning a two-against-one fight, especially since the Green Dragon was not a righteous ally. It could just find a new master if need be, so it decisively laid down its weapons.

"What kind of game are you playing?" Leon asked the Green Dragon, sword in hand. He had been thinking of testing how much his combat power had improved after Foundation Establishment, but had not expected it to end so soon.

"Ever since I met brother, I’ve taken a liking to him," said Cecilia, lying on the ground with her head resting on the ground, gazing up at Leon. "That old witch dared to harm brother, so I had to attack it."

Leon knew he was quite charming, but he wasn’t that narcissistic. He scoffed, "You think I’d believe anything you say?"

He really admired the Green Dragon’s treachery, stabbing allies in the back just as casually as eating and drinking. But on second thought, since when did evil creatures have friends or unity? Backstabbing each other was the norm.

"I knew brother wouldn’t believe me," Cecilia paused and then laughed, "I attacked the old witch mainly because I’ve disliked it for a long time, and I know brother’s identity."

"You know my identity?" Leon raised an eyebrow, "Let’s hear it."

"Brother carries the scent of fairies on him. In fact, beyond the fairy scent, I also smelled the aroma of one of our own kind," said the Green Dragon, looking at Leon. "Brother is actually a dragon, right?"

"You can also smell the scent of our kind?" Leon could not smell any kinship whatsoever, relying solely on the Heavenly Eye Technique, "Go on."

"With both the scent of fairies and that of our kind, if I’m not mistaken, brother is the rare Moonstone Dragon," Cecilia continued. "In ancient legends, when the gods descended on the First World, a clever giant dragon sneaked into the Fairy Wilderness and hid a clutch of eggs. The magic of the Fairy Kingdom suffused these eggs and hatched the first generation of Moonstone Dragons."

"The Moonstone Dragon is beautiful and graceful, just as handsome as brother. The Moonstone Dragon is humorous and naturally gentle, just like brother, who is so tender and even tells stories to Pixies. The Moonstone Dragon seeks out places often bathed in moonlight for its nest, favoring lofty peaks, forest clearings, and serene lakes—just exactly where brother built his cabin by the creek..."

Cecilia rambled on, leaving Leon somewhat confused. On second thought, he also felt he might be a Moonstone Dragon.

"I was cooperating with the old witch for this Primitive Forest, but after seeing brother, I changed my mind," Cecilia continued. "Who would want to rule the forest together with an ugly, lowly, filthy Green Hag, when I could instead rule with the beautiful and elegant Moonstone Dragon?"

The Green Dragon licked Leon with her tongue and asked, "Would brother like to rule this forest together with sister?"

Moonstone Dragons are not Metal Dragons; they belong to a neutral alignment, so it wouldn’t be a problem for them to agree to anything, including ruling the forest together with the Green Dragon.

However, Leon was not a Moonstone Dragon, and he knew all too well how cunning Green Dragons could be. Green Dragons often pretend to retreat when facing other dragons, lying in wait for the opportunity, sometimes for decades, until they could kill their opponent and take their hoard and lair for themselves.

"Would that be okay?" Seeing that Leon did not respond, Cecilia spoke in a coaxing tone, "Brother, would that be okay?"

Leon chuckled and said, "I don’t like sisters; I only need maids."

"Maid is fine, as long as it’s brother’s maid," Cecilia did not mind. She had made up her mind that she would backstab him given the opportunity.

While saying this, Cecilia sized up Leon, and an idea struck her. If he looked so good in human form, his Dragon Form must be even more attractive. If only he were not so foolish and learned to regret in time—for instance, abandon the idea of making her a maid—they might develop a romance in the future.

"Not just any maid, but brother’s maid," Cecilia emphasized once more, then stared at Leon, "I want to see brother’s Dragon Form."

"Alright, alright, if you want to see, I will show you," said Leon as he moved his neck and shook his arms, returning to his Dragon Form, which he had not taken for a long time. In a few seconds, he had transformed into a Red Dragon.

Leon was indeed a teenage dragon, but he had the physique of a teenage dragon, taller than the young Green Dragon Cecilia, especially much stronger, as the diameter of his forelimbs and hind legs was nearly twice hers. After all, Green Dragons naturally had the most slender limbs among dragons, and Cecilia was even thinner among Green Dragons.

Leon stood up habitually, almost three stories tall, then he stretched out his hand and retrieved the Catastrophe Blade from the small pocket space of the Sleeve of the Universe, slammed it heavily into the ground, unabashedly unleashed his tremendous strength, and looked down at the Green Dragon from above, laughing loudly:

"Do you see if I am a Moonstone Dragon? Still call me brother? Still want to be my maid? I know the character of you Green Dragons, but in the face of absolute power, all schemes and tricks are child’s play. As my maid, you will never have a chance to backstab."

Regardless, the Green Dragon had not harmed him but turned to attack the Green Hag, so Leon was not prepared to kill the Green Dragon, just bully her a bit.

"I told you before that I defeated an adult Blue Dragon and have an Efreeti as a servant... you seemed not to believe me," Leon said. "Do you believe it now?"

The feeling of showing saintliness in front of others was too great. Leon was thoroughly satisfied.

At the same time, Cecilia looked up at Leon, the number one among the Colorful Dragons, the radiant crimson scales of the Red Dragon were magnificent indeed. There was no offensive smell of sulphur and floating stone; instead, it filled her with her favorite fairy scent, and the strong physique that the lean her could not reach... she was smitten for a moment.

"I believe it; I believe it," Cecilia couldn’t help but stretch out her head to nuzzle Leon’s thigh, "Yes, sister certainly wants to be brother’s maid. Brother has agreed to sister’s wish."

Instead of the imagined scene of a shivering, fearful Green Dragon, he saw a Green Dragon with stars in her eyes, an amorous Green Dragon... Leon’s expression twisted a bit; the story was not meant to go this way.
