Just as Qin Jian had coaxed An Hao into feeling better, and the two were getting ready to rest,

there was another knock at the door downstairs.

Zhang Yun went to open the door, only to find that Gu Shuangshuang had come back.

"I’m really sorry, I’ve come back again!" Gu Shuangshuang panted as she spoke, "Could I trouble uncle to have his guards take me back to school?"

"That’s fantastic then, no need for you to leave tonight—stay here! And tomorrow, I’ll arrange for someone to take you both over," Qin Jian made the decision on behalf of Gu Shuangshuang.

"But my clothes and luggage..." She hadn’t brought a single item with her and couldn’t possibly wear the same clothes for several days, could she?

"Don’t worry, I have everything. I’ll lend them to you," An Hao said.

"Done! Rest assured, I’ll make sure you have a great time and will keep you safe and secure," Gu Shuangshuang declared, patting her chest.

"It’s a deal!"

The next morning, Qin Jian went to the headquarters for a meeting and arranged for a car to take An Hao and Gu Shuangshuang on vacation.

After an hour’s drive, An Hao and Gu Shuangshuang arrived at a place called Qiong Mountain.

This was located in the suburban district, where there was a very large retirement home.

Retired senior officials and other dignitaries would come here for rest and recuperation.

This place was open to the public, and one could stay for a long term or just one or two days.

The environment was serene, with mountains and waters is not hot at all in the summer, making it perfect for a pregnant woman like An Hao.
