Chapter 1171: The Invitation Sent

Chapter 1171: Chapter 1171: The Invitation Sent

Qin Jian found time to have a meal with Ji Chuan and Yan Ye, originally wanting An Hao to join, but Qin Jian had come up with all sorts of reasons to insist that An Hao shouldn’t come.

So three somewhat awkward men sat down together for a meal.

That meal brought them a lot closer.

After staying there for a week, An Hao was very satisfied with her current living situation.

She discussed with Qin Jian the possibility of moving over.

The family’s matriarch would probably not agree.

So, the two of them spent the last couple of days thinking about how to break the news to Zhang Yun, hoping to get her approval for them to move to this new place.

Just as they hadn’t quite figured it out, a call came from home, saying that it was the weekend and that they should come home for a meal, and there was something they needed to discuss with An Hao.

So early in the morning, the two of them went back to their parents’ house.

As soon as they entered, they were greeted by Zhang Yun’s nagging, "What’s with you two, staying away for so many days?"

"You know how the weather has been, living over there is just a bit more convenient," Qin Jian chimed in.

Zhang Yun gave Qin Jian a look, "Don’t think I don’t know what you’re thinking. Your wife hasn’t even mentioned moving, and you’re always suggesting moving over there."

Qin Jian laughed helplessly, "In your eyes, is your son’s willpower that weak? The reason we chose to stay there is because it’s close to where An Hao is interning, it takes less than ten minutes to come back by bike after work."

"Yeah, that’s indeed the reason," An Hao also agreed, "We were thinking that maybe we should just..."

"Enough, let’s not talk about this now," Zhang Yun knew what An Hao wanted to say, so she cut her off. Moving out while pregnant was absolutely out of the question.

Seeing that Zhang Yun wouldn’t let her speak, An Hao probably understood what she meant.

Qin Jian gestured with his eyes for her to stay calm, he would find a way.

Seeing that neither of them spoke, Zhang Yun was somewhat satisfied and turned to go back to the room. She took out an invitation card from the drawer and handed it to An Hao, "I received this, and there’s one for you and Qin Jian as well."

"Whose invitation is this?" An Hao murmured to herself, not stopping for a moment to open the invitation.

After seeing the contents, An Hao was somewhat shocked.

She quickly passed the invitation to Qin Jian, "Take a look, whose invitation is this? My eyes aren’t playing tricks on me, right? I’m not seeing things, am I?"

Qin Jian took a glance and was also puzzled, "Since when is An Ping getting married? How come you’ve never mentioned him having a partner?"

"It’s An Ping, right? There’s no mistake?" An Hao distinctly remembered telling An Ping that he had to let her meet the other person first, to vet them properly.

He had said the same thing, so how could he suddenly rush to prepare for marriage?

The invitations were printed, the date was set, and she knew nothing about it.

"If your father and I have time, we’ll go. If not, you can take the gift to An Ping on our behalf," Zhang Yun said.

"Wait, wait," An Hao said, "There’s no rush on this. Let me go home and find out more first."

She knew nothing about what kind of person the other party was, yet An Ping and their father had decided on his lifetime affair.

Wasn’t that too hasty?

It had only been just over a month, hadn’t it?

How can they just decide to get married just like that?
