Chapter 1170: Chapter 1170: Not One Ten Thousandth of You

"You think highly of him!" Qin Jian frowned as he looked at An Hao.

Seeing her husband’s expression like this, An Hao knew that Qin Jian was feeling jealous again.

"Of course, no matter how good he is, he can’t compare to one ten-thousandth of you," An Hao said with a smile.

"Is that the truth?" Qin Jian raised an eyebrow at her.

"Of course, when have I ever lied to you?" An Hao said with a smile.

"Okay," Qin Jian nodded, his gaze unintentionally swept to the two men standing at the window upstairs.

One was Ji Chuan, the other Yan Ye, both were looking their way.

"I must say, your student has good taste in choosing a husband," Ji Chuan said with a hooked lip corner, teasing Yan Ye, "It seems, this medical talent wasn’t able to catch her eye."

"I met her after she was already married," Yan Ye said indifferently.

"Then can you guarantee that if she met you first, she would have married you?" Ji Chuan said, closely observing his facial expression.

"Why talk about useless things?" Yan Ye glared at him, he never dealt in hypotheticals.

"Haha, getting anxious?" Ji Chuan laughed nastily.

"Smoke your cigarette," Yan Ye threw out the words, his gaze drifting back to the hospital entrance.

An Hao noticed Qin Jian zoning out and casually asked, "What are you thinking about? Zoning out in broad daylight?"

"It’s nothing," Qin Jian finally spoke up, opened his arms toward An Hao, "Come give me a hug."

"What for?" An Hao chided, "In front of the busy hospital entrance, aren’t you embarrassed?"

"What is there for me to be embarrassed about? I’m hugging my own wife, not someone else’s," Qin Jian said before An Hao could reply, he picked her up immediately, placed her on the back of the bike, and then rode off.

"Did you see that?" Ji Chuan pointed towards the two receding figures, "What you’re lacking is a bit of assertiveness."

Yan Ye gave him a cold look and turned to leave.

On the way back, the warm breeze gently blew, rustling the poplar trees along the roadside.

An Hao held onto Qin Jian’s waist, resting her head on his back, and closed her eyes, savoring the peace of the moment.

"Wife," Qin Jian with a smile on his lips, looked at the scenery ahead, said, "from now on, you can intern at the hospital in peace."

"Yes," An Hao quietly responded, eyes still closed, "Yes, was what you did correct? Ji Chuan and Yan Ye both helped you."

"Yes," Qin Jian didn’t deny it, "One of these days when you have time, help me arrange a meeting with them. I want to treat them to a meal, to thank them."

"Hmm," An Hao nodded, "You definitely should thank them. Especially Teacher Yan Ye, he really helped us a lot."

"I know."

"You’re not jealous, are you?" An Hao suddenly recalled that her husband could be quite jealous, wondering if her comment might anger him?

"Jealousy is one thing, but I’m not unreasonable," he responded.

"You are the best," An Hao said delightedly, "My husband truly is the best in the world, none compares."

"What?" Qin Jian stopped the bike, turned his head to look at An Hao, "Are you wanting a few more husbands or what?"

"Qin Jian?" An Hao glared at him.

"Hmm?"

"Was your Chinese teacher a PE instructor? Can’t you even understand what I’m saying?"

"Clearly, it’s your expression that’s off!"

"It’s your understanding that’s...."

Before An Hao could finish her sentence, he leaned in and his soft lips sealed hers.

"Mmm... too bad!"
