Chapter 197: Chapter 33: Deep Sea Demigod, An Interesting Trade

Hill earnestly crafted the interior space of his necklace pendant.

He only placed a small house constructed of vines that grew on their own.

Inside, there was only a simple assortment of furniture, all directly grown from the vines.

Hill knew that this was a refuge he had prepared for himself, so in case of absolute necessity, he could throw the pendant into the sea and quietly hide inside it.

The greatest advantage of magical plant vines was their strong defensive power, and even with growth and deformation, their life force was resilient enough to thrive.

Hill hoped to have a stable ecological cycle in this space, so he didn’t plan to occupy too much space for living quarters.

Hill didn’t know what might push him to this point, but having a plan was always better than having none.

Inside the pendant, Hill’s Wind Element Kais was merrily flittering up and down. It felt Hill’s spiritual power measuring the space inch by inch and bounced around happily.

On the two arched parts of the pendant, the lower portion had been crafted by Hill into a crescent-shaped lake using deep sea amber.

Hill threw most of the pearls into it, causing the shallow lake bed to sparkle with myriad colors.

So many pearls should be enough to keep the lake water in the cleanest state possible.

The upper part was transformed by Hill into a 2,000-square-meter warehouse using a large amount of space crystals.

Within the vacuum warehouse, Hill had stockpiled a large number of crystals and living supplies.

Some alchemical materials that were required on hand were also placed there by Hill.

However, there weren’t many precious materials. Those required specific environments for storage, and Hill didn’t want to waste a single bit.

In the middle, a large amount of vines were growing rampantly, and Hill had begun to slowly transplant some tasty fruits and vegetables inside.

He also buried a vast amount of Earth Elemental Crystals into the thick soil beneath his feet, hoping the soil would transform into increasingly rich nutrients.

Hill slowly adorned the pendant, his mood quite uplifted.

Just when he was using space crystals to strengthen the pendant, he finally hit a stroke of luck. The space connected to the Elemental Realm, although possibly only the size of a pinhole, but elemental power had already begun to seep in.

The Wind Element Kais inside flitted about for a while and then suddenly connected with Hill, expressing a desire for a dwelling in the sky.

Hill agreed readily.

But he didn’t want to just make an ordinary ship for Kais; floating arrays were not restricted to boat-shaped structures only.

Hill took out some amber, then selected many types of silky materials, planning to make a Cloud House for Kais.

As he was researching, List knocked on the door.

Hill left curiously, finding not only List waiting outside but Adrian as well.

"Uncle Adrian," Hill said with resignation, "why the sudden visit?"

"I’ve been wanting to talk to you," Adrian said with a warm smile, "Seeing List send the child off, I knew you were available, so I came over."

"I won’t blame you for secretly eating seafood," Hill said pointedly. "No need to smile so benevolently; it kind of scares me."

"List mentioned that he learned a lot of cooking techniques from the Undead Tribe," Adrian said, casually changing the subject, "I really want to taste them. I’ve also brought you some delicious seafood."

Hill looked at List.

"It’s ready in the dining room," List said with a smile.

"Then let’s go eat together," Hill said, seeing Adrian’s eager expression, and could only smile and agree.

The seafood Adrian brought must be from the deep sea, with a distinct flavor that was a bit better than what List collected from the players.

"Who went to the deep sea?" Hill, overcome with satisfaction, walked to the living room, holding his belly and slowly pacing.

"Miller, the Legendary Mage," Adrian followed Hill with a wry smile and took a seat on the sofa, "Do you like seafood that much?"

"Very much," Hill said without hesitation. "But more so, it satisfies my regret for not having tasted even better."

"But why Miller?" Hill changed the topic. "I thought Carl’s Legend would be more diligent."

"Miller is known for his fast flying speed," Adrian explained. "Plus, his desire to earn military exploits is even stronger."

"He was negotiating with demigods?" Hill asked. "What was the outcome?"

"For now, we’ve only reached an agreement to maintain peace until the demons are driven away," Adrian said with a smile, "But I think, the fight won’t break out."

"Why do you think that?"

"Hill, you haven’t seen the lavish banquet at Spencer’s place with your own eyes," Adrian said seriously. "You might not have felt that kind of terror. The Undead population is really tremendous!"

"Isn’t it already known to be several tens of millions, or even a hundred million?"

"His Majesty the King dispersed the Undead among the territories of three countries. Our perception is not so vivid," Adrian said with a bitter smile, "This time, many of them came to participate in the carnival.

Standing there, I understood for the first time what a sea of people was.

There were tens of thousands of food stall stands on the gourmet street.

I couldn’t walk from one end to the other before the banquet ended.

Later, I flew in the sky and watched the brightly lit city below, from the city center to the beach, all filled with people!

Such a long coastline was actually densely packed with crowds.

Seeing those large legendary magical beasts, I thought they would feast for days, but it wasn’t even 2 hours before everything was eaten.

And this, this was less than half the number of people."
