Superhumans of the Dome City
Chapter 267 - 267 30 Intertwined Dreams 1

267: Chapter 30: Intertwined Dreams (1) 267: Chapter 30: Intertwined Dreams (1) The droplet could no longer hold itself together.

Who was the King of Destiny?

Had he seen the mysterious forces above Zero Island, the ones brought about by the Void Light Dragon?!

The realm of the Huojin King… the Huojin God… What was going on?

If the true identity of the Huojin God was the so-called King of Destiny, then what role did the Void Light Dragon play?

Or had I misunderstood, and you are the King of Destiny?

“No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!

Do not touch me with your thoughts!

Stop!!!”

I am a droplet.

Drip-drop.

“I am not the King of Destiny!

I am not one of those madmen who rely on random numbers to decide what they want to do!” the man in gray spoke angrily, “You’re staring right at me, you can no longer know my title, it would ruin everything.”

Drip-drop, drip-drop.

“Good child, remember my words.

You have just helped me greatly, I will not harm you.

Trust me, never again look at things that are too dangerous for you,” he said as he stood up, looking around nervously, “I can’t let you go back the same way; you’ll be assimilated by my power.

I must figure out how to send you back as soon as possible; your Spirit Light has already been affected.”

I am a droplet.

While speaking, the man in gray seemed to find something.

He waved at the droplet.

“Flow this way.

There is a skilled Spiritual Image Mage near you; take her path back.

It’s a blatant coincidence, arranged by the King of Destiny.

Too unnatural, he must have had his kin do it… that lazy, void, indecisive scoundrel!”

The droplet flowed down the rock wall, following the path on the ground.

“Confronting my existence has impacted you too greatly, at this rate, you will be assimilated when the planet orbits once more.

You are aware how brief that time is, a mere flicker.

You must quickly finish the clear path, let the Spirit Light become divine.”

The droplet was problematic.

“There shouldn’t be anything wrong with the droplet!!” the man in gray screamed, “To put it shortly!!”

The Silent Phase Droplet, the Spiritual Image Road.

“You foolish droplet!

You are a seed of the Silent King, no matter which path you take, your clear perception can always lead to silence,” the man in gray continued to ramble, hunched and bowing his head, “Remember, do not seek me out before your Spirit Light becomes divine.

Do not follow the path of the King of Destiny in the Huojin Realm.

And certainly do not seek the Silent King, unless your Spirit Light is about to extinguish.”

The droplet rolled on.

“That’s right, forward.”

The obedient droplet flowed forward.

It flowed, seemingly for as long as a year, and finally, the droplet felt a bright light.

·

The droplet transformed back into Gongsun Ce.

He did not bother to observe his surroundings and plopped down on the ground.

Fragments of information pierced his brain, bringing pain, his brain and heart felt as if they had been in a blender for half an hour, whirring madly.

“My God!” he finally understood why that man had told him to imagine himself as a droplet.

He couldn’t think, at least not then, it would have driven him completely insane!

Gongsun Ce quickly sealed away most of his memories, keeping only a few key phrases.

Spirit Light divination, he was sure that was what the man had said; he needed to make his Spirit Light divine.

One orbital period for assimilation… one year… How could one year be a brief time?

That man also claimed he had just helped him, but he had no such memory.

The King of Destiny was someone who decided his actions through random numbers, that man did not look like that… and the Silent King… that man said he was a seed of the Silent King…

Intense headaches struck again, making Gongsun Ce realize he could think no more.

He carefully added several more locks to his thoughts, clutching his head as he surveyed his surroundings.

A plush red leather sofa, a small square table covered with snacks, a massage chair decked with a fluffy pillow, and a coat stand with a top hat.

The place looked like a living room in a single-bedroom apartment, and he found it strangely familiar.

“Kardesia’s living room?!”

Without a doubt, he was standing in the living room of the Top Hat Lady’s house.

Everything was almost the same as the last time he visited, except for the bedroom door that was firmly closed.

Then he noticed a pair of little legs in white stockings swinging back and forth, hidden by the massage chair.

Gongsun Ce walked around the massage chair with an odd expression on his face to the center of the hall.

Now he could see clearly, sitting on Kardesia’s sofa was a little girl with black hair and black eyes.

She was dressed in a blue western-style dress, sitting on a pile of cushions on the sofa back, her knees hosting a golden-yellow kitten taking a nap.

This child looked even younger than Shiyu Shiqi, perhaps about the age to be in elementary school.

She scratched the kitten’s ears, speaking in a babyish tone, “Kardesia, get me a bottle of beer.”

The golden kitten spewed a flame, speaking in the voice of the Top Hat Lady, “Dear Alice~ you’re still not old enough to drink~”

Damn it!

Could it be?!

The fire-spewing cat was Kardesia, then this girl was…

could that man in gray have thrown him into…?!

The little girl huffily rubbed the kitten’s head, “I command you to get it for me!”

“Really, there’s no handling dear Alice~” the kitten opened the refrigerator door and crawled over with a cold beer.

As the kitten moved, the living room environment suddenly changed.

The floor burgeoned with green grass and fresh flowers, the coffee table and sofa transformed into a marble tea table and high stools; soothing light music played in the room, a dozen rabbits emerged from the bushes, each holding a miniature musical instrument, blowing colorful bubbles from wind instruments, each bubble bursting into golden musical notes upon hitting the ceiling.

In the blink of an eye, Kardesia’s living room had turned into a fantastical scene reminiscent of a fairy tale.

The rabbits’ leader had gray fur, wearing a monocle and a stopwatch hung around its neck.

The Gray Rabbit adjusted its glasses pretentiously and snapped open its stopwatch.

From between its lips came the voice of a superpower user.

“Honorable Master, it is time for the tea party!” said the gray-haired spectacled rabbit as it started dancing in circles.

Gongsun Ce almost popped his eyeballs out.

The black-haired little girl perched on a high stool, proudly opened a can, and poured the liquor into a teacup, taking a sip.

“Cough, cough, cough, cough!” She then began coughing violently.

“Dad lied, it’s not tasty at all!” The little girl’s eyes teared up from the spiciness.

The cat on the tea table watched her and laughed.

“Speaking of which, Alice dear, when do you plan to apologize to him?” the kitten pointed at the rabbit and asked.

The dancing rabbit, acting as the leader, chimed in.

“Honorable Master, you owe me an apology!”

Gongsun Ce rubbed his hands together, ready to throw the rabbit out.

The black-haired little girl puffed her cheeks and angrily turned her face away.

“Who needs to apologize?

I’m a bad kid, and I have no regrets!

It’s all your fault for ruining my perfect plan, and I still want to get back at you!”

The spectating Gongsun Ce clapped his hands in admiration.

Impressive, truly worthy of you.

But, Miss Shiyu, using this form to talk tough just makes you look like a petulant child!

The old cat sagely said, “But he didn’t kill you, didn’t get back at you.

Now you’ve really suffered, Alice dear, you definitely owe him a life~”

The black-haired little girl jumped up and down in anger.

“It’s all your fault, why didn’t you kill me!!”

She grabbed the gray-haired rabbit and forcefully pressed down on its head.

“Hmph!

Beg me, and I’ll apologize!!”

It was truly an eye-catching sight.

Anyone who heard this would think I owed you.

Gongsun Ce felt both annoyed and amused; had it been his adult form, he would have erupted by now, but seeing a child throw a tantrum, he couldn’t bring himself to be seriously angry and simply continued watching the interaction between the girl and the small animal.

The poor gray-haired rabbit, horribly misshapen, intermittently said, “Honorable Master…

you are…

the most beautiful, most adorable woman in the world…”

The black-haired girl stopped her hand.

“Hmph, praise me more.

Then beg!”

“Your skin is as white as snow, your lips as red as blood…”

The gray-haired rabbit racked its brain and offered several more exaggerated compliments, but it never begged for mercy.

The girl toyed with it for a while and eventually let go, bored.

“I’ll spare you today, because I’m the most beautiful girl in the world.” The black-haired little girl said proudly, “Dad said so too.

In our family, I’m the most perfect one!”

As she mentioned “Dad”, the sound of keys turning came from the door.

The music stopped, and Gongsun Ce became alert.

Moments later, the door opened, and he expected to see his own body enter, but instead, it was a strange man in a white suit.

Gongsun Ce’s pupils contracted.

He had seen this man’s photo; the person entering was Shiyu Genmi!

“Daddy~” The black-haired little girl jumped off the chair and joyfully ran towards the door.

“I’m back my little princess!

Come give daddy a hug!” Shiyu Genmi grabbed the girl into his arms, spun her around twice in the air, and set her down.

The scene looked very heartwarming, like a true father and daughter.

“Did you behave well today?” “Yes!

Today, I went and brought some treats to my little brothers and sisters!” “Worthy of our Shiyu family’s finest eldest sister!”

The little girl puffed out her chest proudly.

“I even told everyone stories!

The uncles in white clothes all praised me.” Shiyu Genmi hung his soft hat on the coat rack.

“Very good.”

“But Daddy, everyone looked so tired,” the little girl said uneasily, “and their place is very dirty.”

Shiyu Genmi made a funny face.

“They aren’t as smart as you!

You have to study hard; Daddy and all your little brothers and sisters are counting on you.” “Mhmm!” The little girl nodded enthusiastically.

Gongsun Ce observed all this, feeling a chill in his heart.

He hadn’t forgotten the intense hatred in Shiyu Ling’s eyes when she mentioned Genmi, but what was this then?

If this conversation had truly happened in reality, then she and Shiyu Genmi must have been very close as father and daughter.

Was Shiyu Ling a kind girl when she was little?

Gongsun Ce’s puzzle grew deeper.

He started looking around for items that could indicate the current time.

The clock showed it was three thirty in the afternoon, the date was August 27, the year…

the year was…

Gongsun Ce noticed a yellowing calendar hanging on the wall, with 1999 written on the top in colored crayon.

11 years ago, before the Calamity of the Firmament had happened.

The Shiyu plan started 13 years ago, and Zero was the first subject, which meant she began experimenting two years later.

After confirming the time, the contradictions only increased.

11 years ago, Shiyu Ling shouldn’t have looked so young; she should have been more like a middle school girl!

Gongsun Ce was just about to investigate further when he heard a “creak” from the living room side.

The bedroom door cracked open; a cold green light shot out from the gap, and he faintly smelled disinfectant and blood.

Then came a cold female voice.

“Die.”

Bang!

Shiyu Genmi, who was conversing amicably, exploded into a pool of filthy flesh and blood, organs and blood splattering the little girl.

The green grass, flowers, and tea party all vanished.

The gray-haired rabbit seized the chance to open the door and escape, while the girl and the cat both stared at the barely ajar bedroom door.

“Take Kardesia out.” The girl left the house with the cat, closing the door from the outside.

Now, only Gongsun Ce remained in the hall.

The bedroom door opened, and the familiar Shiyu Ling emerged.

She sat on the sofa and took a sip of ice-cold beer.

She sighed, “Phew.” Shiyu Ling tiredly set down the beer and looked up to meet the awkwardly staring young man’s gaze.

“Damn, how did you get here?” She waved her hand, “Turn back into a rabbit, and get out.”

“The situation might be a bit different from what you think.

What I mean is…” Gongsun Ce stood still.

He said amid the woman’s increasingly fantastic expressions, “Good evening.”

Shiyu Ling’s face instantly flushed red.

He saw a mix of emotions in her eyes,
