Superhero Class: Finding Meaning of Life in another world -
Chapter 75: So what
Chapter 75: So what
Phew!
Dawn sighed and managed to calm himself down in time. Samuel Blackangel’s words seemed to be filled with strange powers, immediately filling him with anger.
"People call me Red-Caped Demon; you can call me whatever you want.."
Dawn answered. However, at the end of his words, his voice almost became inaudible. At some point, a foolish-looking smile appeared on Samuel’s face, as if he had managed to cook something.
"Ah! So it is Mr. Red Caped Demon...I see."
"Well then, Red Caped Demon, I will call you the Person who sticks his nose in other people’s business from today."
"I hope you won’t."
Samuel looked in Dawn’s direction with a slightly proud look in his eyes.
He looked really proud of the name that he had come up with.
"This punk..."
At some unknown point, a vein had popped up on Dawn’s forehead, almost resembling the anaconda that was killed a moment ago.
It took all his willpower just to control himself from immediately hacking the guy to death. Every word of this foolish-looking man seemed to make his blood boil.
Dawn had to give credit to this guy; at least he was capable in this aspect.
He loudly exhaled and then asked a question.
"Aren’t you afraid of death? The anaconda just now would have crushed you to death."
Hearing Dawn’s question, the smile on Samuel’s face faded. A slightly nonchalant look appeared in his eyes, as if after hearing this question he had lost all interest that he had in Dawn.
Dawn, who was looking at Samuel’s face closely, was surprised by the guy’s reactions.
It was as if some switch had been flipped from inside; the aura radiated by Samuel completely changed.
He radiated a sharp aura similar to a sword that had been finally unsheathed after a long time.
The sudden change caught Dawn by surprise.
Samuel looked towards the sky with an indifferent attitude and slowly said, "What makes you think I want to live?"
Huh!
After the change, Dawn was expecting a serious response from Samuel, but hearing his words, he almost fell to the ground head first.
What do you mean, that you don’t want to live?
Who doesn’t want to live longer in this world?
"Yeah, this guy finally lost it..he is a mad lad. I better get the fuck away as soon as possible."
Thousands of thoughts flashed through Dawn’s mind, but his facial expressions remained the same.
Samuel, however, seemed to have guessed his thoughts, and a carefree smile appeared on his face.
Witnessing that smile, Dawn realized he had been seen through.
Which was surprising, as in his head, he had already labelled this guy as a mad lad.
While Dawn was busy sorting his thoughts, Samuel continued once more.
Samuel exhaled softly, his carefree mask slipping. His eyes, once filled with mischief, darkened as he stared at the sky. "...You’re too young. That’s why you ask that question."
A breeze rustled the trees, but he didn’t seem to notice. "If you had lived long enough, you wouldn’t ask at all."
Suddenly, the solemnity from his eyes vanished, and the carefree look once again appeared on his face.
"Anyways, it is quite surprising to find a human bearer of Abyss Mark that had been able to live for so long.."
"Very interesting, interesting indeed."
Samuel openly mused, his eyes flickering with a strange gaze that seemed to expose all of Dawn’s secrets.
Dawn was barely able to process his earlier words when Samuel had another bombshell that caught him completely by surprise.
His eyes narrowed dangerously...this was one of his closely guarded secrets. Samuel’s words had already touched his bottom line.
But he didn’t rashly react; his overflowing killing intent that almost seemed to materialize landed on Samuel’s body.
Looking at Dawn’s intense reaction, Samuel smiled in response.
To Samuel, expecting anything other than such behavior would be surprising.
After all, Abyss Mark Holders tend to be those with violent tempers.
Samuel had to reassess the young man again.
Dawn was able to calm himself, and it was no big deal if his secret had been exposed.
But from how this guy was talking, he seemed to know quite a lot about Abyss’ mark.
So Dawn decided to get more information out of him.
Just at this point, Samuel suddenly smiled and threw something in his direction.
Dawn’s body instinctively reacted and caught the thing in between his palm, turning his gaze downwards to see what it was.
"A skill crystal.." he muttered in confusion.

Dawn ignored the rest of the window for the time being.
"I know you have a lot of questions, but don’t worry; soon all of your questions will be answered."
Samuel cheerfully said in a low voice.
"Huh! Stop acting mysterious and quickly tell me what you mean..."
However, it appeared he wouldn’t get the answer that he was looking for, as in the next moment, Samuel’s body started to blur; he was returning to reality.
"Wait, you can’t just—" Dawn lunged forward. His fingers brushed air.
A flicker—then Samuel’s body rippled like a mirage, dissolving into nothing.
The forest fell silent. A stray leaf drifted where he had been standing.
Dawn cursed under his breath. "Convenient bastard."
"What did he mean by those words.."
After contemplating for a while, Dawn gave up thinking and sighed.
...
After this short incident, Dawn strength had significantly grown.
