Chapter 73: Another one
Chapter 73: Another one
"Monkey of Greed heart, huh! Where will I find those?" Dawn silently muttered in his heart.
From what Jack said, Monkey of Greed heart possessed the ability to directly teleport stat crystals to a small space inside it.
Convenient for placing the stat crystal in a safe place, thereby saving a lot of time.
Although it was very handy, the heart was always in short supply and difficult to find.
As soon as it appeared it was immediately bought by local overlords.
One could only desire the treasure with their heart but whether they could get their hands on it depended mostly on luck.
Dawn, however, wasn’t disheartened; he knew one way or another he was going to get it.
Then suddenly a thought popped up in his head.
"Leader of the Flowing Swamp organization, that guy should have one... Right?"
Filled with curiosity, he immediately asked the former vice leader of Flowing Swamp organization.
Immediately Jack’s confused voice came from ’Great universe is within.’
"Yeah...I heard something like this during a party..but why are you asking about the boss?...."
Mid-way Jack seemed to have understood something and a loud gasp reverberated in the isolated space.
...
...
...
Cold wind howled incessantly, hitting Dawn’s indifferent face like pricking needles, causing him to frown.
"Temperature is dropping sharply.. hmm,"
Dawn’s eyes were narrowed.
There has never been an instance of temperature dropping like this in the past.
Such drastic temperature fluctuations were very rare not just in the Poisonous Swamp station but in the entire Eternal battlefield.
Unless influenced by external factors, the temperature would never drop.
Most of the time Two-headed Anaconda region had a predictable climate.
There was something or someone which was causing these weird changes.
Alarmed by the changes, Dawn decided to speed up and finish things fast.
He had barely moved a few meters when he suddenly stopped and looked towards his west.
Some distance away, the water started to shake and slowly an enormous shadow appeared beneath it; something gigantic was moving upwards.
Splash! The Swamp bubbled, releasing poisonous gases outwards in a hot stream of eerie liquid.
The water surface broke revealing a humongous head covered with crystalline scales, glowing ominously. It was none other than the two-headed anaconda, its two amethyst eyes filled with terrifying bloodlust looking in Dawn’s direction.
Just the gaze alone seemed to carry the force of nature, causing the air in the surrounding to vibrate unnaturally as if it was under immense pressure.
Dawn was already alert; as soon as the two-headed anaconda had appeared, his body had started to move swiftly like a flash of current, leaving afterimages behind.
The fiery red cape fluttered, releasing occasional tongues of orange flame, when they landed on the muddy water forming steam.
Two-Headed Anaconda was barely able to keep track of Dawn’s figure; while its eyes were gazing into his previous position, Dawn was already above its head.
Just at this moment, the world seemed to quake as a terrifying energy erupted with Dawn as the center, slowly concentrating on the blade edge.
"Begone..."
One Sword to Rule the World!! Finally, the mythical skill made its appearance.
Original Wind Sword in Dawn let out an excited cry, humming as terrifying energies converged on its body; the intense force made the sword light up and soon it burst into purple flame.
These purple flames were the embodiment of Slaughter energy cultivated by Dawn.
The thick aura of slaughter that almost seemed to solidify caused the anaconda to be filled with fear.
"Die!!"
Dawn ferociously roared in his heart and swung downwards.
Puchi!
The Original Wind sword easily passed through the beast’s head like a hot knife slicing through butter.
Just as the sword’s sharp edge had made contact with the anaconda’s body, the snake’s vitality was directly cut off and color faded from its amethyst eyes.
In no time, the snake’s body was nothing more than a sack of potatoes.
Dawn also realized something was wrong; he was already on his guard.
The beast’s behavior was extremely strange as it didn’t even try to resist Dawn’s attack, as if its bestial instinct had dulled. Unknown to him, the 3% chance of instant death given by his skill Aura of Slaughter had activated, as such the anaconda didn’t even realize before it was dead.
Bang!
Just as Dawn was busy feeling lost, the snake’s body exploded into numerous shiny particles, leaving behind only a single crystal falling downwards.
At the sight of the crystal, Dawn finally reacted; his body immediately accelerated in a straight line like an arrow leaving the bowstring.
"You are not going anywhere!"
Just as the crystal was about to be swallowed by the swamp, Dawn was able to catch it, his fingers gripping it tightly as if it were the most precious thing in existence.
[Silver Rank Agility Crystal x1]
The crystal was immediately crushed by him and a surge of energy rushed through his veins like electricity.
Each of his muscles seemed to come to life.
[Agility increased by +3]
"That’s more like it." Dawn grinned in celebration; he wanted even more snakes to attack him now, he felt extremely motivated and wanted to grow as fast as possible.
Thankfully, he didn’t have to wait for long. Soon his wish was fulfilled; attracted by the commotion and violent upheaval of energies, three two-headed anacondas came rushing from the front, their vertical eyes flashing with terrifying light.
Spotting Dawn’s small figure and violent fluctuations of energies in the surrounding, the faint breath of their brethren, they hissed in anger, spewing green smoke out of their nostrils.
In no time, the surrounding was filled with green smoke; it was becoming difficult to even gaze a few meters clearly.
"Good, very good." he muttered with a smile.
Dawn was unbothered as three of them seemed to be only at the peak of silver rank.
To him these puny snakes were nothing more than cannon fodder.
"Quickly come and accept your death!!"
Unhinged and unbothered.
Sizzle.... A red light flashed and green smoke was cleaved into two equal parts by two burning lances moving at light speed.
A painful howl came from the distance!
An unlucky snake was hit by the Nine Abyss Nascent Laser eyes and pitifully died.
1000+ degrees Celsius was something that could burn any creature to death instantly.
So it was understandable that the creature was not able to survive a single hit.
"Hahahahaha....You fucking snake bitch...die..die."
"Let me free you from eternal suffering."
The small smile on Dawn twisted into a maddening grin; in the next moment, the green smokey figure was lit by multiple flashes of light.
Immediately numerous wide gaps appeared in the smoke; Nine Abyss Nascent Laser eyes was like a greedy laser that absorbed all the smoke in its wake.
In no time.
The green smoke resembled a piece of fabric with gaping holes seemingly burned by the laser.
"There you are..."
When the smoke cleared, Dawn finally spotted the two snakes looking at his figure incredulously as if not believing the scene in front of their eyes.
The snakes were like two sitting ducks; before they could even react.
Dawn was upon them like the demon from nine Abyss, his two eyes glowing brighter than the sun itself.
Sizzle. The laser appeared once, moving toward the two snakes at incredible speed, almost blasting a hole through reality.
When the laser was just inches away from their figure, the snakes finally reacted.
Their tens of meters long bodies contracting in fear; however, it was too late.
Boom! With a shower of blood, the snakes turned into particles of light flying into the distance.
Reacting extremely quickly, Dawn was able to grab the two crystals.
[Brave warrior, your Myth grows stronger, another Chapter is added to your growing tale.]
[Silver Rank Agility Crystal x2]
Looking at the two crystals in his grasp, Dawn frowned.
"Where is my skill crystal..."
As expected, the snakes didn’t drop the skill crystal that he was after.
After all, the chances of it were very meager, but Dawn had high hopes.
And when his expectations weren’t met, his disappointment was incredible.
"Who cares, let’s go and kill some more ...there are tons of snakes anyways."
.....
Just like this, two hours passed. In the past two hours, Dawn had killed more than twenty Two-Headed Anacondas; his agility stats, which were originally at 21 points, had risen steadily, sitting at 30 points.
But Dawn’s face was slightly ugly; even after killing a bunch of these puny snakes, he couldn’t get his hands on the damn skill.
His frustration was further increased by the fact that he was running out of time.
He had been in the Eternal battlefield for too long and needed to return to reality.
Just as he was thinking, the space in front of his eyes rippled and a few blue windows appeared in front of him.
Just with a single glance, the frown on his face deepened.
