SSS Ranked Awakening: All My Skills Are at Level 100 -
Chapter 110: Not VIP
Chapter 110: Not VIP
A golden, shimmering number appeared on top of the mountains of gold, mixed with jewelry and other items crafted from gold and gems.
97000
97000 only! I’m sure if I converted all the gold into platinum bars, it would be at least more than half the amount I earned from the dungeon.
But the amount of causality he was getting from them was one-third of the amount. Leon had no choice as of now, so he directly exchanged them because his inventory was full.
[Are you sure you want to exchange all these items for causality?]
Yes.
Right after his confirmation, the small mountain of gold in front of him glitched out of existence. No matter how many times he saw it, it was something worth looking at.
And it worked—the weapons were the only thing left behind from the gold pile.
Leon took out another mountain of gold, similar in size to the one he just exchanged, from his inventory and exchanged it for causality once again.
This time, even when it was the same amount, he only got 89000 causality from them.
Even when he felt the cosmic system was scamming him, he couldn’t do anything.
However, if he thought of it from another perspective, this gold and platinum would sooner or later become useless to him.
In the Lin Fang autobiography, the currency commonly used among people was Mana Stones, which could be mined from special mana mines or mana cores extracted from monsters—which were considered the highest currency.
Things like gold and platinum were practically worth nothing more than showpieces for people. They could be bought at the price of peanuts by Mana Stones or mana cores.
Leon did think he was being too greedy here, as he remembered the price of something inside his cosmic shop.
He opened the Cosmic Shop and looked at the item.
----
8. Mana Reservoir Pearl(Epic – Item)
Permanently increases total mana pool by +300.
Price: 350,000
Vendor: Professor Overflow
-----
I’ve already made more than enough causality to buy this item. With this thought in mind, he looked at his balance at the corner of his status screen.
[Causality: 474,000]
He also wondered—compared to other items of its rank, this one seemed a little cheap, considering its extraordinary benefit of increasing mana by 300.
Leon wanted to buy it right now and use it then and there, as mana could never be enough. However, he didn’t know how it would go, so he decided to wait until he found somewhere quiet and alone.
He knew he had to collect causality for other things, like setting up the environment for his empire inside his dimensional space.
Even knowing that, his top priority was getting stronger.
Getting stronger came before anything else. He didn’t know when some unexpected situation would come up, as this universe was full of mysteries.
I have to be prepared at all times.
Now that space in the inventory was cleared enough, he stored all the other items in and then left the castle of the seventh and final duke of the Kingdom of Shampain.
Once outside the castle walls, Leon decided to take a rest for a bit in some inn inside this city. His rest wouldn’t be long, as he would make sure to use his Dimensional Hourglass. Having such a mythical treasure and not using it properly would be pointless.
The city was nice. Leon reached a luxurious establishment and looked at its name.
"Bellford Inn."
He entered. The guards outside the establishment bowed to him as he walked past them. Leon didn’t find their reaction strange, as he did look like a rich and handsome noble, someone quite eye-catching.
Inside the room, it was as detailed as the big house they were staying in at the capital city, Hemsburg.
Leon didn’t know who owned this establishment, but they had to be extremely wealthy. In almost every city, he had seen more than a few inns with the same sign.
He wondered who the owner might be, as it looked like someone worth robbing of all their treasure.
Reaching the reception, Leon looked at the receptionist, who was currently explaining to him what kind of rooms they had. She was a well-spoken lady in her early twenties, with big eyes, a small nose, and a smile always on her face.
Leon had to say—their service was top-notch.
"So you’re telling me there are four tiers of suites, and the first tier is only available to VIPs?"
"Yes, young master," the receptionist politely replied.
Leon was so rich right now, it would be a shame if he couldn’t even get the Tier 1 suite for himself, which would grant the entire top floor, the service of personal maids, and ensure the best experience while being there.
He was craving a bath, and it would be much better if he had maids like those in the mansion to give him a nice, relaxing one.
"What if I want the Tier 1 suite?" Leon asked.
The receptionist still kept her polite smile, but inside, she wasn’t happy. It wasn’t the first time people with big egos, like some lower nobles, got offended because they couldn’t get the top floor.
She had to admit—the man in front of her was the most good-looking person she had ever seen in her life, but it was a pity he was going to get embarrassed now. If he were like other hot-headed young masters, he’d be thrown out of the establishment.
Asking for the VIP suite out of nowhere? That was completely out of the question.
With her voice still polite, she replied, "Young master, I hate to break it to you, but only people whom the Bellford Establishment recognizes as important enough are given VIP status."
Leon wasn’t one to back off, as a nice relaxing bath was needed.
"Is there no other way?" he asked.
The receptionist sighed. She knew it would come to this. Guards were already on standby in case he caused a commotion for the other guests.
This was the part that angered most lower noble young masters—anyone lower than a duke’s house.
"Young master, you can buy the VIP membership with money. It would not only give you VIP access in Bellford Inns, but also our Bell restaurants, shops, and Ford’s Smithy. You’d get VIP treatment in all these branches. You’d also receive a 30% discount on anything you buy. And that’s not all—there are other secret benefits too, which I am not allowed to reveal due to establishment policies. Only when someone becomes a VIP will those benefits be known to them."
Leon, hearing everything she said, was a bit surprised. This Bellford Inn was more interesting than he had thought—and much more influential than he had imagined.
Which meant wealthier and more loot for him to collect.
He was also curious about what secret benefits there were for VIPs. She hadn’t mentioned the price, so he asked her.
"So what’s the price to get the VIP membership?"
The receptionist sighed with a thought of resignation. Here we go again.
"That would cost you 1,000 platinum coins, young master."
There was only silence left between them after those words left her mouth with the same polite smile.
Leon was staring at her face, deadpan, hearing the exorbitant price.
