Chapter 111: Shocking Receptionist—Buying VIP membership

Leon did have more than enough money, so that 1,000 platinum coins would be a drop in the bucket for him currently. However, the price—1,000 platinum coins—was exorbitant in itself, asking for 100,000 gold coins. Even nobles would struggle to afford this price.

From the way he saw it, even Marquess houses would have to think twice before considering such an exorbitant price just to get a VIP title, a 30% discount, and some other benefits that were kept secret.

He now realized why it looked like she wasn’t liking where the conversation was going. She could never expect a young man like him, whom she might assume came from some low noble house based on appearance alone—which wasn’t even true as he wasn’t even a noble—to pay such a price upfront. That just seemed impossible for someone like him.

However, he didn’t care now. He had too much money. Those 1,000 platinum coins wouldn’t even be worth much in causality, which was their intended use for him—especially when the more he exchanged gold and platinum, the less the causality he was getting.

He should use some. It wouldn’t affect him.

One more important fact, he was also thinking of the owner of this giant business chain sooner or later.

Leon’s hand went below the desk where she couldn’t see. In the next instant, ten platinum bars materialized out of thin air, floating with his pure mana.

He floated them above the desk. The receptionist’s eyes widened at the sight. She thought they might be fake—without actually checking—but they looked too real. He released his control once they hovered above the counter, and they hit the wood with sharp, bumping sounds.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!

"Is this enough?" His voice was calm as he asked her.

The receptionist, being professional, didn’t judge too quickly. She picked up one of the platinum bars first—the color, texture, and feel—everything was real. Even the stamp of the Kingdom of Shampain on the back was perfectly clear.

It seemed unbelievable, but these were real platinum bars, each weighing one kilogram—perfect weight to produce 100 platinum coins. She checked every single one. The result was the same.

Now, the way she looked at the long silver-white-haired young man in front of her was completely different. Her eyes held respect and a bit of fear. He wasn’t carrying any luggage with him. She couldn’t understand where he was even keeping those freaking platinum bars.

It was a mystery to her, and she was even more curious—who exactly was the young man in front of her, who could use such wealth like it was nothing? Even Marquess-ranked nobles would have struggled.

She called out two of their best maids in a hurry.

"Young master, these two maids will be assigned to you. You can use them however you like. And for the inconvenience I caused, your stay for the day will be on the house. Your VIP membership card will be sent to your room in a few minutes."

She had to quickly go to the manager, as he was the only one who could issue the VIP membership.

She looked at the maids and sternly said:

"This is our important VIP guest. Make sure you take the best care of him."

The maids nodded as they started leading Leon toward his room on the top floor.

Meanwhile, the receptionist quickly stored the ten platinum bars inside a premium-looking chest and left to meet the manager of the inn to explain this unprecedented event. This was the first time someone had bought the VIP membership with money.

There was a commotion going on in the manager’s office by the time Leon had reached his suite on the top floor, accompanied by the two maids provided by the inn to take care of him.

The air in the suite was warm, quiet, and smelled like ironed sheets and cool stone. Dark marble floors with gold veins, carpets so thick his footsteps vanished. Tall windows with velvet curtains, a sliver of dusk slipping through.

Right in the middle was the bed—huge, solid, and clearly expensive. The frame was dark wood with tall posts, and some kind of thin curtain was pulled back around it. The sheets looked crisp and untouched, with a thick blanket folded over and way more pillows than any one person would ever use.

At the end of the bed sat a low table, polished clean, with nothing on it except a crystal water pitcher and a pair of glasses. Simple, but it said one thing clearly: this room was for someone important.

Off to the side, there was a wide desk beneath a tall mirror with a gold frame. Another door led into the bath area, which was quiet and open. A deep stone tub sat on the floor, still letting off a bit of steam. The sink area was clean and smooth, with two mirrors above and soft lights glowing from the wall. Everything looked neat, expensive, and made to impress without trying too hard.

It really is worthy of being called a VIP room.

After the tour given by the two short black-haired maids, both quite pretty in their appearance, their uniforms were sleek: a black corset top with silver clasps, high-waisted silk trousers, a sheer chain-belted overskirt, and knee-high lace-up boots—finished with fingerless gloves and a clockwork choker.

Leon had to admit—they looked good in them.

"Young master, do you need anything from us?" one of the maids asked.

Leon ordered them, "Yes. Prepare the bath for me. I need a nice, relaxing bath."

After this order, they quickly bowed their heads and went to prepare the bath.

While they were doing their work, Leon jumped on the bed. As its softness hit him, he lay down and enjoyed it until there was a knock on the door.

But he didn’t have to get up—as one of the maids checked the door. She collected a metallic black card from the receptionist herself, with the manager behind her. The maid just took the card and closed the door—if the young master truly wanted to meet them, he would’ve collected it himself.

The manager left a bit disappointed that he didn’t get to meet the person who had bought the VIP membership with a freaking 10 Platinum bar; it seemed they weren’t in the mood right now. But he hadn’t given up. He would stay on high alert—surely, they would have to walk out the front gate once their stay was over.

Or, if he got lucky, he could meet him even before that.

The middle-aged man with a beard really wanted to make a connection with this mysterious young master, whom they had no information about.

While the bath was still being prepared, Leon decided to enter his time dimension and see if Seraphine was there or not.

If she were, it would be nice to spend some time with her, as he knew she might be missing him.

He entered the same rocky mountain, but he could feel that if he thought of a different place while entering, he would arrive there.

Leon looked into the distance, and he could see his beautiful master engrossed in her training. She seemed to be training her Aura.
