Chapter 101: SSS-rank Grand Archivist Sub-Class!
Chapter 101: SSS-rank Grand Archivist Sub-Class!
After Ainsworth checked his newly upgraded SSS-rank Virus Evolution Sovereign sub-class, he believed that his goal of expanding the Church of Evolution wouldn’t be far off from being implemented.
At least, the new class exclusive skills and class traits had not only improved his power, but also the quality of the Hive Mind and his control over them.
The viruses he could control had already exceeded the field of biology and weren’t just limited to that but now also included infohazards and memetics, basically conceptual and information-based viruses.
For example, if he wanted to, he could create a virus that would infect anyone who was "sad" and it would spread via happiness. Those who are infected by the virus will have the symptoms of the happiness virus and become "happy" even if they are sad, angry, or whatever emotions they had before being infected.
’Not only that, but I can also use Futureborne Adaptation to access a projection of my future power and evolution. The more I use it, the more I obtain fragments of it. Even if the boosts from those fragments are temporary, they will still allow me to increase my mastery over it until I can finally access that evolution path and stage without using that skill.’
’Most people, even if they have Futureborne Adaptation, might not necessarily be able to make use of it due to the restrictions of requiring to have an existing future power and evolution to project into the present. If it’s someone who has no talent, then they can’t even make use of it.’
’I don’t have such a problem since my virus still hasn’t reached the limits of its evolutionary phase yet. And if I’m not mistaken, if I were to use Futureborne Adaptation, my current power of Three-Star S-rank might even be temporarily raised to that of Four-Star SS-rank or even SSS-rank.’
Of course, Ainsworth was merely estimating his power as he had yet to encounter and fight an SSS-rank Awakener so he didn’t know how they’d compare to him.
However, he felt that if he were to use all the arsenal of power he had like Ultimate Freedom: Override, Futureborne Adaptation (SSS), etc., even if he couldn’t defeat an SSS-rank Awakener, fleeing from one was almost guaranteed.
After being satisfied with the SSS-rank Virus Evolution Sovereign sub-class along with its three class exclusive skills, Ainsworth then checked the class traits of his newly acquired SSS-rank Grand Archivist sub-class.
[Sub-Class: Grand Archivist
Class Rank: SSS-rank
Class Traits:
F = You instinctively understand any language, symbol, or cipher. Spoken, written, or telepathic—no knowledge can be lost in translation for you.
E = Your memory capacity becomes limitless and organized. You can sort, tag, and instantly recall knowledge you’ve read, heard, seen, or sensed—even through indirect means.
D = You can analyze and synthesize scattered pieces of information into complete truths. Even fragmented or distorted knowledge can be reconstructed into reliable form.
C = You develop a parallel "inner archive" in your mental space. You can store abilities, spells, techniques, and observations in this codex, allowing rapid on-demand access or deployment. Functions like a hyper-library inside your soul.
B = You can hide your thoughts, memories, or knowledge from all divination, telepathy, truth-reading, or mind-probing abilities unless the caster vastly exceeds your rank.
A = Your mental processing speed and analytical ability reach post-human levels. You can multi-think, simulate outcomes, and calculate probabilities in parallel—making you nearly immune to strategy-based counters or deception.
S = You can manifest a living archive construct that autonomously records battle events, analyzes enemies in real time, and suggests optimal countermeasures. You may delegate tasks to this construct, which can interact with skills or battlefield objects using recorded data.
SS = You can perceive and overwrite minor narratives, world, or law-level lies. This allows you to bypass glamours, false memories, rewritten histories, or even retroactive illusions. If something happened, you can know it—even if the world says otherwise.
SSS = Once per day, you may forcibly "record" an enemy’s action, memory, or ability into your Archive. For the next 10 minutes, that enemy cannot deny, change, or hide the recorded truth—unless they are above SSS-rank. You may also call upon archived truths, replaying reality as it was, to expose lies or prevent false outcomes. This is not time travel, but narrative anchoring—forcing the world to acknowledge what is true.]
As soon as Ainsworth obtained that SSS-rank Grand Archivist sub-class, he truly became a walking library. Just the E-rank class trait alone made him possess limitless memory storage as well as instant memory recall.
Deep within his mind, he had already constructed a mind library/mental archive and his memories and knowledge were already sorted and categorized.
’If I had this SSS-rank Grand Archivist sub-class a year ago, it wouldn’t have taken several months to master and learn everything. With this sub-class, it would have merely taken just a maximum of a week and that’s not including the mind-based superpowers further improving my learning speed.’
Ainsworth was confident that learning all of the knowledge, skills, fields, and technology that the Zombie Apocalypse World had wouldn’t take that long with his SSS-rank Grand Archivist.
After all, SSS-rank classes had already touched the rules and laws. No matter how vast the quantity of knowledge the Zombie Apocalypse World had, its technological quality was far inferior to the Alien Technology World so its difficulty wasn’t that high.
Compared to comprehending the Space Dao to Great Accomplishment in the Immortal Cultivation World or learning forbidden spells in the Magical Fantasy World, learning all of humanity’s knowledge in the Zombie Apocalypse World was a piece of cake.
Seeing how powerful the SSS-rank Grand Archivist’s class traits were, Ainsworth looked forward to the abilities of the class exclusive skills so he checked all three of them.
And as he had expected, they truly didn’t disappoint him!
[Class Exclusive Skill: Codex Eye
Skill Rank: SSS
Skill Abilities:
(1) You can instantly analyze any object, skill, spell, technique, lifeform, or construct you observe. This includes its origin, function, structure, weaknesses, energy flow, and core logic—no matter how alien, metaphysical, or high-ranked it is. The deeper your focus, the more complete your comprehension.
(2) Once analyzed, you can reverse-engineer abilities, techniques, or spells and even replicate them using your own power systems (mana, aura, viral energy, etc.) if you meet the requirements. Even partial observation can provide enough for predictions or structural manipulation.
(3) You may simulate multiple possible scenarios, outcomes, and counter-strategies within your mental archive in parallel. This allows you to predict enemy actions with terrifying accuracy and craft preemptive solutions during battle in real time.
(4) Against unknown systems or new enemies, your learning speed becomes exponentially faster the more complex the system is. The harder something is to understand, the more rapidly you gain mastery—allowing you to overtake even native experts over time.]
[Class Exclusive Skill: Cognitive Overrule
Skill Rank: SSS
Skill Abilities:
(1) Any ability, skill, technique, or spell that you have previously studied and understood to a deeper degree than your opponent will automatically be nullified if used against you. This includes sword techniques, spells, martial arts, array formations, system skills, or any structured logic-based ability.
(2) Within a certain radius, reality rejects the application of knowledge inferior to yours, rendering those with shallow understanding unable to execute abilities you’ve already mastered. The more inferior their knowledge is, the more their technique collapses before activation.
(3) While you can disable others’ use of techniques you’ve mastered, you yourself are not restricted. You retain full access to all archived skills and spells, regardless of origin or ownership. The supremacy field only acts outward—not inward.
(4) This nullification effect does not work against:
Abilities imbued with power far beyond your current level (e.g., divine energy, law-tier concepts, or above SSS-rank execution)
Techniques you have not fully understood or studied
Abilities powered by irrational or chaotic systems (e.g., paradox spells, eldritch phenomena)]
[Class Exclusive Skill: Deterministic Archive Process
Skill Rank: SSS
Skill Abilities:
(1) Upon activation, your brain enters an overclocked state, increasing your cognitive processing, memory retrieval, analytical resolution, and neural speed by 100x. Within the skill duration, you function as a localized superintelligence.
(2) During this state, your perception range expands by 100x your current power level, allowing you to detect and record all observable physical and metaphysical phenomena—from subtle shifts in enemy movement to micro-expressions to energy distortions to causal reverberations.
(3) By analyzing the totality of incoming data, your mind generates real-time predictions of future actions, movements, and environmental reactions. This is not true precognition, but hyper-accurate deduction, making you react as though you already knew the future. You can simulate possible outcomes and choose optimal responses mid-battle.
(4) You can project the cascade effects of any action you or others might take within the forecast window. This allows you to manipulate events on a narrative or strategic level, causing enemy decisions to backfire or flow into your planned outcome.]
’With all the class traits from the SSS-rank Grand Archivist and its three class exclusive skills, I literally have a living conceptual library so my memories aren’t just stored biologically.’
’In other words, even if I encounter a regressor who can rewind time after his death, wouldn’t I be able to retain my memories? After all, only my body will be affected by the time regression but not the living conceptual library that is outside of the time regression’s area of influence.’
