Yang Yi wanted to eliminate Ferdinand, but he wasn’t sure yet if this action would be in his favor.

If Jethro could take over all the power after Ferdinand’s death, that was definitely good, but the problem was the fear that Jethro might lose Deyo’s trust after Ferdinand’s death, which would be bad.

"Let’s just get rid of Ferdinand!"

Yang Yi asked in a low voice, "Why do this?"

Brian replied gravely, "Because Andre is dead, and this is a heavy blow to Big Ivan’s side, so much so that Justin is unwilling to gather intelligence anymore. If we get rid of Ferdinand, then one important person on Deyo’s side will also die, balancing the scales of victory and defeat so they don’t tilt too drastically, at least in the eyes of others."

Yang Yi nodded and said, "There’s no technical difficulty in taking out Ferdinand, but the problem is that it has to be done cleanly, not looking like Jethro’s doing. Yang Yi nodded and replied, "Okay, we’ll take out Ferdinand when the opportunity arises!"

Zhang Yong asked with a puzzled face, "Wasn’t it said that Big Ivan is especially formidable? Why does it seem like he’s doomed just because one of his subordinates died?"

Brian waved his hand and said, "Stop guessing, this kind of thing absolutely doesn’t allow for speculation. Don’t forget that Andre has only been dead for a few hours. Even if Big Ivan were to personally intervene to sort out the situation, how could we possibly know? For now, everything stays the same, we’ll wait and see how the situation develops before making a decision."

Yang Yi nodded and said, "Let’s see if Jethro can get Hagel to meet tomorrow. If Hagel agrees to Jethro’s request for a meeting, we’ll have to warn him. If Hagel doesn’t agree to Jethro’s meeting request, then we’ll still have some buffering time. So, let’s see how it goes tomorrow."

The group dispersed, each returning to their rooms to rest, waiting for the next day’s meeting between Jethro and Ferdinand.

It was not until after ten o’clock the next morning that Jethro came out of his room.

"Got in touch, Ferdinand is waiting for us, we’re leaving now."

After Jethro said this indifferently, he suddenly added, "But be careful that Ferdinand might try to take us out, so I’ll leave the security to you all."

The group left the place where they were staying, as they would be living with Ferdinand from now on, so this place was probably of no use anymore. However, Yang Yi still left McDonald to keep watch.

Ferdinand and his people were staying in the suburbs of Kiev, occupying a large area of land.

The Fearless Mercenary Corps had their own place to stay, and Ferdinand led his loyalists to live in a villa that was not very large.

There were two people standing outside of the villa. When Jethro got out of the car and Yang Yi was accompanying him to the door, the two people at the entrance stretched out their arms and said to Jethro, "You can go in by yourself, they must stay outside."

I knew the transfer of power wouldn’t be so easy.

Jethro stopped in his tracks, then spoke indifferently, "Go tell Ferdinand, either invite us in or I will leave. I’ve had enough of these underhanded tricks."

The faces of the two men turned ugly, but seeing that Jethro had no intention of compromising, one of them still coldly said, "Wait."

Jethro just stood at the door waiting. He had waited a full ten minutes, and no one had come out of the villa, nor did the bodyguards who were barring their way show any sign of yielding.

Looking at his watch, Jethro coldly said, "Time’s up, goodbye."

"Wait a moment."

The bodyguard at the door immediately spoke up. He made way at the entrance and sneered, "You can go in now."

Jethro took a deep breath but showed no reaction. Just then, Zhang Yong laughed from behind, "I heard some strange sound."

Xiao Ran immediately said, "I heard it too, it sounded like the whining of a beaten dog."

Zhang Yong clapped his hands and laughed heartily, "That’s exactly the sound!"

Fearing being ambushed by Ferdinand, Yang Yi and the others came fully armed. Although they thought it unlikely a firefight would break out, if it did happen they wouldn’t be afraid.

Yang Yi followed Jethro into the villa, and then he saw a person with a bandaged arm looking at him with hatred.

This was the person whose arm was broken last night. Thinking about it, it was no wonder these people looked at Yang Yi and his group as if they were mortal enemies. Losing face from the defeat was one thing, but with so many having their arms broken, it was natural for them to hate them to death.

Yang Yi and his group crowded around Jethro and bustled into the villa, where Ferdinand was sitting on the sofa waiting for them.

Seeing Jethro, Ferdinand showed no intention of getting up. He directly spoke in a deep voice, "Have you reached out to Hagel? What’s the result, has he agreed to meet?"

Jethro sat opposite Ferdinand. He didn’t answer Ferdinand’s question but looked straight at him and said, "Is this amusing to you?"

Ferdinand watched Jethro without saying a word, but Jethro continued to speak in a deep voice, "Young man, don’t be so hot-tempered. I understand your eagerness to make a name for yourself in front of the boss, and I know what you want to achieve. You’re just using the wrong approach. Believe me, the only way for you to accomplish your goal is to cooperate with me, not by trying to push me out."

Ferdinand coldly said, "You’re not here to teach me. You’re not qualified."

Jethro responded with a smile, "Why did the boss send you here? Because he thinks you’re young, vigorous, and bold enough to fight. That’s why your ability to fight is your main asset here. But this isn’t Africa, this is Ukraine. Your proud credentials are useless here. You think you’re incredible? No, you just haven’t met a proper opponent."
