Chapter 463: Chapter 451 Start Action
Justin and Alexander were both cunning, and Yang Yi was no fool either.
They had already come to an agreement on the distribution of profits, but what was more important was how to smoothly deceive the gold into their hands.
"I have already sent someone to look for information on United Airlines Flight 176. We will soon know where that plane is, and once we locate it, we can monitor its every move. As soon as it takes off, we will be notified,"
Justin said confidently, then added in a grave tone, "Now the key issue is, what do we do if our cover is blown?"
"It depends on the situation and how far along in the plan we are. If we haven’t landed yet, we’ll turn back. However, if we’ve already landed, then it’s more dangerous."
After pausing for a moment, Alexander said in a deep voice, "If we have landed, we’ll need to take off again, which is difficult and dangerous. If that situation arises, we can only decide what to do at that time based on the circumstances."
Yang Yi said in a low voice, "Let’s assume that before the plane is about to arrive at the airport, the gold will be transported from the vault to the airport. I’ve arranged for people to watch the vault. If nothing unexpected happens, we will be able to ascertain the exact delivery time and route of the gold. If our cover is blown, can we just abandon the plane, kill everyone, take the gold, and break out of the airport?"
Alexander remarked, "That’s risky."
"This entire plan is risky. Hear me out: we grab the gold and go. My men will back you up, and we’ll be prepared."
Justin frowned and asked, "But in that case, how would we transport the gold out? By land?"
"First, we take the gold, then we consider how to get it out. My people will have a car, um, and a forklift ready. They will definitely bring the gold to the airport by truck, which means it will be on the vehicle. The guys from Aurora will rush down from the plane and catch them off guard, then you’ll drive out."
Alexander looked at Yang Yi as if he were an idiot and said, "There are many soldiers guarding the Kiev airport. A direct assault, are you mad?"
Yang Yi smiled and said, "I’ve studied it. There are two runways at Kiev airport, but only one can accommodate a large aircraft like a Boeing 747. Arseny certainly wouldn’t want to conduct a gold trade with the Americans in full view of many people, so the runway end after the plane lands will be the trading spot, right?"
Justin nodded, "That’s a reasonable deduction."
Yang Yi continued, "Just look at the satellite map. The runway for the Boeing 747 is close to the perimeter fence, and the troops guarding the airport are not encircling the entire airport. In fact, they are quite far from the runway. We’ll wait outside the perimeter fence, and as soon as you’re exposed, we’ll break through the wall and back you up as you leave the airport. Once we shake off the pursuers—an important step—the better choice would be to eliminate everyone present, then we switch the gold to another vehicle. If we have a chance, we’ll leave Ukraine directly; if not, we’ll hide the gold first. Gentlemen,"
Yang Yi looked at the two men and said sternly, "What’s important is that the gold is in our hands."
Alexander spoke gravely, "But where’s the plane left? Just by tracking that plane, they could find us. That won’t do."
Yang Yi spread his hands and said, "Then we take off by force. I don’t believe a few people on the runway can stop a plane from taking off."
Alexander said very seriously, "What if they use surface-to-air missiles to shoot down the plane?"
"Do you think Arseny would expose the true purpose of Flight 176? If he dares not, then how could he let surface-to-air missile troops shoot down a commercial plane? Even if Arseny really dares to shoot us down, would the missile forces responsible for defending the airport and even the entire airspace of Kiev and Ukraine dare to bring down a passenger aircraft and disclose an affair that was supposed to be secret to the whole world?"
After pondering for a moment, Alexander said, "Makes sense. So, the greatest danger lies in the landing, and the difference between a smooth takeoff and a forced one after landing."
Yang Yi spoke with full confidence, "That’s right, just like that."
In front of his own people, Yang Yi never minded adopting a very humble attitude as a learner, but in front of outsiders, he had to be assertive.
True, Yang Yi and his team had spent time training with Aurora, but that was to learn how to fight, while his real identity was that of a spy, and fighting was not his specialty.
The greatest risk was borne by Alexander, although the part he was taking on wasn’t the most difficult.
After pondering for a moment, Alexander looked up and said, "I’m going to Khartoum, leaving now. My people are already gathering in Sudan. If all goes well, the result will be us taking off with the gold. So, buddy, you’d better come with me to Khartoum."
From Alexander’s request, it was clear he still had complete trust in Justin, which was why he wanted Justin to go with him to Khartoum, and then take a plane from Khartoum to Kiev. If something went wrong, they would all be finished together.
Justin replied without hesitation, "Of course, we’ll go together. Are we leaving right now?"
Yang Yi smiled and said, "I’m coming too. I want to bring two people along. If we land smoothly at Kiev airport, someone has to take over from that Roy. I think it’s better if we handle this matter."
Justin responded without hesitation, "Right, that’s your job. Don’t screw it up, buddy. If you mess it up, it won’t just be a scam anymore; it’ll be a disaster. I don’t want to have to hijack a batch of gold from Kiev airport, even if you guys are capable of it."
Alexander stood up and said to Justin, "You have a plane, right?"
Justin stood up and replied, "That’s right, let’s not waste any more time. Let’s go now."
"Wait a moment, I need to give some instructions. I’ll be right back."
Yang Yi went to the room where everyone was and said softly, "Chris, Kate, grab your stuff and follow me. The others stick to the plan. I’m going to Khartoum with Alexander and Justin. If the operation is successful, we’re going to get paid. Everything has been settled, so let’s get moving."
Kiev did indeed need someone to help out, and Brian was definitely capable of handling that part of the job. All Yang Yi needed to do was to take Chris and Kate with him.
Since the plan was first and foremost a scam, then who could be more suitable than Chris?
Justin and Alexander had both come alone, and now five people got into one car and started driving towards Kiev airport.
The three bosses were crammed into the back seat. Once the car started to move, Alexander suddenly asked, "What kind of plane is it, a private jet?"
"That’s right, a private jet. Though it’s not mine, but if this works out, I’m going to buy my own plane," replied Justin.
Alexander laughed and said, "I’ve regretted countless times not buying a private jet and instead buying a Boeing 747, but now, I’m really glad about the decision, which I once thought was stupid. Ha ha."
Justin smirked and muttered under his breath, "Just dumb luck, buddy, just dumb luck!"
