Chapter 462: Chapter 450 Accidental Masterpiece

"Fifty percent, I agree."

Alexander was the first to express his stance, followed closely by Yang Yi.

"Alright, fifty percent, cash on delivery, I agree."

Justin smiled satisfactorily and then said in a deep voice, "Now let’s talk about the specifics. First, where is the airplane coming from? Where does it take off and which route will it take to arrive in Kyiv?"

Alexander hesitated for a moment, then finally shook his head, "No, I can’t tell you that."

Yang Yi didn’t show any reaction, but Justin spread his arms and said, "Buddy, I am personally involved in this matter, you can’t hide anything from me, because this involves a lot of things — the airplane is key! Without a United Airlines Boeing 747, our plan can’t proceed, so I must know the details!"

Alexander thought for a moment and then said in a deep voice, "It’s very difficult to paint such a large plane as a Boeing 747. It’s impossible to finish within two days. If the plane flies with the paint not yet dry, by the time it arrives, I guarantee that no one will be able to recognize what livery it wore. Moreover, ordinary paint can’t be used for high-speed flight in the sky; it would be blown off. Therefore, it’s not feasible to temporarily find a Boeing 747 and paint it to look like a United Airlines jet."

Justin said in a deep voice, "So, what are you planning to do, find a real United Airlines jet?"

Alexander nodded slightly and said, "I have a Boeing 747, and it’s indeed a United Airlines Boeing 747."

Justin’s eyes widened in shock, while Yang Yi opened his mouth in surprise.

"Boeing 747s are gradually being phased out. I bought a retired Boeing 747-400 from United Airlines. It has flown fifty-five thousand hours and still has very good mechanical performance. It’s now stored in a hangar at Khartoum Airport in Sudan."

Yang Yi said dumbfoundedly, "Why do you have a Boeing 747?"

Alexander shrugged and said, "For global reach, but it’s more because second-hand Boeing 747s are very cheap. The user base for such large, wide-body jets is very small. With long range, they’re wasteful for anything other than intercontinental routes, so many airlines don’t want these planes, especially used ones near the end of their passenger flight lifespan."

"Why did you buy it? Just because you wanted a private jet?"

Alexander looked somewhat embarrassed and said softly, "I wanted to convert it, change the passenger jet into a cargo plane. I thought it could be useful. Anyway, the price was very cheap, so I bought it. But..."

Alexander shrugged and then said with a look of resignation, "Many major decisions in life are made in a moment, but many foolish decisions are also made in a moment. I bought that plane, but I found out that while the plane was cheap, conversion was expensive, operational costs were high, and even painting it was costly. So after buying it, I had to give up on the idea of converting it into a cargo plane, and it has just been sitting at Khartoum Airport."

Yang Yi asked curiously, "How cheap?"

"Twelve million US Dollars, with the engines thrown in for free."

Justin looked strange as he spread his hands and said, "You have your own plane, a Boeing 747 at that, and it’s still in United Airlines livery..."

Alexander laughed and said, "I can only say that sometimes God is very kind to some people, like me."

Justin’s look was one of envy, jealousy, and hatred. Then he waved his hand and asked, "How long has it been parked?"

"Five years."

Justin responded angrily, "Five years? Can a plane that’s been parked for five years still fly?"

Alexander smiled and said, "Just because it was parked for five years doesn’t mean it was just thrown aside. I have a brother who used to be a pilot, he couldn’t stay away from planes, so he lived at Khartoum Airport to take care of our plane. Therefore, the plane was meticulously maintained. The condition of one of the engines isn’t great, I think a major overhaul is a waste of money, but with good luck, it won’t malfunction, especially since a Boeing 747 has four engines."

Justin looked on with envy, "So, you almost don’t have to pay costs, and you can also take the opportunity to dump the non-performing assets, right?"

Alexander smiled and replied, "Exactly."

Justin frowned and asked, "What’s your relationship with the Sudanese government?"

Alexander spread his hands and said, "I definitely have good personal friendships, but you’re asking too many details, buddy."

"Damn lucky, seriously damn lucky..."

Unable to help himself, Justin murmured a couple of times under his breath, then Alexander laughed and said, "Thank you, we’ve always been lucky. It costs one hundred sixty thousand US dollars a year to park that plane at Khartoum Airport. I’ve been considering if I can’t sell it this year, should I just abandon that plane, but now, heh heh..."

Yang Yi also admired Alexander’s luck. What was initially a failed investment product had surprisingly become extremely useful after five years. This was a prime example of inadvertently hitting the target.

From Khartoum Airport to Kiev, the distance is much shorter than from the United States. As long as they keep an eye on United Airlines Flight 176, then there will definitely be no problem with the time difference.

No wonder Alexander was so confident about resolving the plane issue.

Originally thinking that Alexander had taken on the hardest part, it turned out that his segment was the easiest. Justin wouldn’t feel shortchanged, but he was certainly extremely envious of Alexander.

"The plane’s sorted, but the flight route isn’t resolved yet."

After a pause, Justin said in a deep voice, "Can you take care of the flight route problem?"

Alexander shook his head and replied, "We can’t involve Sudan, so the flight route is a bit tricky, but it’s not unsolvable. My plan is to impersonate another flight, following the route from the United States to Kiev."

Passenger planes have designated flight routes; they can’t fly just anywhere. Flying haphazardly can even lead to being shot down by countries they pass over.

Justin looked at Alexander and said, "Give me ten percent, no, five percent, and I’ll take care of the flight route, how about that?"

Alexander shook his head and said, "Justin..."

Justin raised his right hand, exasperated, "Alright, alright! I’ll handle the flight route, but you guys have to coordinate well with the timing!"

Taking a long breath and feeling shortchanged but knowing he wouldn’t get anything done without compromises, Justin said begrudgingly, "I’ll let you in on something. After we get the gold, we’ll land at a military airfield in Poland, where the buyer will be waiting for us. After unloading the gold and flying the plane away, it must be destroyed. I don’t want to be tracked down through the plane!"

Alexander smiled and said, "That’s no problem at all; the plane will end up at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean."

After thinking it over, Justin said, "There’s one last issue, the money will be transferred to my account first, then I’ll distribute it to you. The buyer won’t deal with splitting the payments, that’s not an issue, right?"

Alexander smiled and replied, "I don’t have a problem because I believe no one dares to cheat Aurora out of money, oh, and of course, I also trust your reputation."

Yang Yi had no other choice, so he smiled and said, "Of course, that’s perfectly fine, no problem."
