A few words were all it took for Yang Yi and his buddies to start taking orders from Jethro.

Regardless of who was backing Jethro, as long as the pay came from Jethro, Yang Yi naturally had to follow his arrangements.

Zhang Yong tossed in two bills and laughed, "Ever been in a battle?"

"Robot, respond."

Yang Yi snatched up the walkie-talkie and spoke in a grave voice, "Robot received, over."

"Bring your men over for a rendezvous. We’ve got work to do. Make it quick."

"Received."

After putting down the walkie-talkie, Yang Yi said urgently, "We’ve got work, move it, quick!"

A few men didn’t even bother to pick up their money, they immediately grabbed their weapons, put on their bulletproof vests, and quickly got into the cars parked in the yard.

When Yang Yi and his team drove to Jethro’s residence, Jethro was already standing at the entrance, with his car parked right behind him.

Seeing Yang Yi, Jethro walked straight over to the car, leaned on the open window, and said in a low voice, "I’ve got a job for you. I have to go negotiate with someone, and you need to ensure my safety."

Yang Yi replied gravely, "We are not bodyguards. You should leave ensuring your safety to the professionals."

Although Jethro looked unimpressive and somewhat rustic, he had no airs. He was willing to lean on the car window to explain things to Yang Yi without even having him get out of the car, a rarity among bosses.

Jethro lowered his voice and said, "We can’t bring too many people this time, so I’ve called only you. The parties we’re negotiating with shouldn’t cause trouble, but you need to stay alert. Yang Yi truly did not expect Jethro to ask him to do such a thing. While he could understand never falling into enemy hands, killing Jethro if things looked bleak was not something Jethro’s bodyguards should be doing.

Although surprised, Yang Yi still nodded and said, "We’ll do our utmost to ensure your safety, but I will also do my utmost to fulfill your request."

Jethro nodded, smiled at Yang Yi, and said, "This is our first cooperation. Let’s hope everything goes smoothly. Follow my car, and don’t be quick to show your guns. The place we’re going is a bit far, so be careful on the road. Set your walkie-talkies to one frequency. Okay, let’s go now."

After setting everyone’s walkie-talkies to the same frequency as Jethro’s team, Yang Yi and his team followed Jethro’s two cars.

Jethro was riding in a large SUV, with the bodyguards’ car leading the way and Yang Yi’s two cars following behind.

Yang Yi was somewhat excited. In fact, most people were somewhat excited. The only ones who could remain completely calm without any psychological fluctuations were Brian, Zhang Yong, and Paul.
