Spy-x-War Showdown
Chapter 321 - 320: White Roar

Chapter 321: Chapter 320: White Roar

If White Roar was in London, that would be much more convenient.

Although they still didn’t know how to recruit White Roar, as long as he was in London it would surely be easy to talk to him. Although the chances of him being as gullible as Schultz were small, there would always be a way if they could find him.

Mike thought for a moment, then said to Schultz, "Ask your friend if he’d like to meet with you. If he agrees, we’ll accompany you, but don’t mention our existence just yet."

Schultz might have been young, but he wasn’t stupid. Hesitating after hearing Mike’s proposal, Schultz cautiously said, "You won’t force him, will you? You won’t threaten him, right?"

Yang Yi smiled and said, "Of course not, how could we do such a thing? We’re looking to have someone work with you, why would we force anyone, right?"

Schultz hesitated for a moment, then shook his head, lowering his voice, "No, I can’t do that, White Roar is my friend, and it wouldn’t be right to take you to meet him without his consent. Hackers don’t like to expose their identities and locations, he trusts me, and I can’t betray his trust."

Mike frowned slightly and said, "But we can’t expose our identities either, you know we won’t harm him."

Schultz still shook his head, insisting, "No, no, this isn’t right."

Yang Yi said, "In that case, you meet with him by yourself and ask if he’s willing to work for us. The pay is very generous, let him set his terms..."

Looking puzzled, Schultz asked, "But why not tell White Roar that we’re spies? You know, becoming a spy, that’s really something! If White Roar knew I’d become a spy, he’d definitely be envious of me."

Mike glanced at Yang Yi and said, "You decide."

Yang Yi did hesitate for a moment, but he quickly said, "You can tell him, but don’t reveal too much. Just say you’re working for a spy organization now and ask if he’s interested in meeting with you. Don’t say anything else, if he declines then let it be."

Yang Yi didn’t want to force Schultz to be disloyal to his friend since that would benefit neither him nor the Organization of Water. He was already doing his best to increase the loyalty of his organization’s members, so he couldn’t possibly coerce and encourage Schultz to betray a friend.

Schultz began typing rapidly on the keyboard, and Yang Yi leaned over to see what Schultz was writing.

"I’m a spy now; you can’t imagine the kind of things I’ve come across recently, super thrilling! Interested in joining? I’m with my colleagues now; if you’re interested we can meet up."

Seeing Schultz’s message, Yang Yi said urgently, "Isn’t that a bit too direct?"

Schultz turned to look at Yang Yi, his face filled with confusion, "Ah, too direct?"

Just then, a shocked emoticon appeared on the computer screen, followed by White Roar’s message, "Let’s meet in Westminster, at the main entrance of the Tate Britain Gallery. There are fewer tourists there, I’ll be wearing all white. When can you get here?"

Before Yang Yi could speak, Schultz had already sent his reply, "I’m very close, can be there right away."

Yang Yi sighed, then Schultz immediately said eagerly, "Let’s go now!"

Mike spread his hands and said to Yang Yi, "Let’s go now, get ready."

After Mike left, Yang Yi said somewhat helplessly to Schultz, "We’re getting ready to leave."

It was still Yang Yi and Mike who would meet White Roar, but Mike had notified Brian to silently follow them without Schultz knowing.

The place where Yang Yi and his team stayed was indeed very close to the meeting point, making it very convenient, but Yang Yi now had little hope for recruiting White Roar.

The Organization of Water needed a hacker who could devote all their time to the work. Someone with a family, a job, and just curious enough to do it part-time definitely wouldn’t suffice.

The Organization of Water was in dire need of hackers, and if White Roar wasn’t suitable, then the search would continue, but if White Roar was both suitable and willing to join the Organization of Water, then meeting was certainly appropriate.

The meeting place was not convenient for parking, so Yang Yi did not drive. The three of them took a taxi and arrived quickly at the Tate Gallery.

After getting out of the taxi, Yang Yi scanned the area. There were far fewer tourists here than at the Big Ben, but there was still a noticeable crowd. He looked at the entrance of the gallery but didn’t see anyone wearing white among the few tourists there.

Schultz looked around and said, "There’s no one in white clothes; perhaps they haven’t arrived yet. Let’s wait a little longer."

Mike thought for a moment, then whispered to Yang Yi, "You go wait over there, Schultz and I will wait here."

Yang Yi was about to respond when he saw a taxi stop behind Mike. After a short wait, someone got out and started looking around.

Yang Yi cleared his throat and said in a low voice, "They’re here, right behind you."

The reason Yang Yi was so sure was that the person who had emerged from the taxi was clad entirely in white — a white top, white pants, and even a pair of white shoes.

If he wasn’t mistaken, White Roar was a woman, a young woman, and an Asian at that.

Schultz was even more surprised and exclaimed, "A woman?"

Mike turned around to look and replied, "How long have you known each other? Can’t you tell that White Roar is a woman?"

Schultz said blankly, "We’ve never chatted with voice, how could we know if it’s a man or a woman?"

Mike whispered, "You go talk to her, see if she’s White Roar or not."

The woman, looking around, came over, and Schultz stepped forward and called out, "Hey there, hi, are you White Roar?"

Mike covered his face with his hand and muttered in extreme distress, "I shouldn’t have let him start the conversation."

Yang Yi looked at Schultz talking to White Roar and then saw the woman respond with utmost surprise, "Are you Black Lightning?"

"That’s me! Yes!"

White Roar said with great astonishment, "You are... so young!"

Schultz laughed and said, "I didn’t expect you to be a woman either."

Hearing White Roar’s voice, Yang Yi couldn’t help shivering, rubbing his arms — not because of the content of their conversation but because of White Roar’s voice.

It was too sweet, too coquettish, the kind of sweetness that makes your skin crawl.

Without even having a face-to-face conversation with White Roar, Yang Yi already felt the lethality of her charm.

Schultz turned back to Yang Yi, pointed at him and Mike, and said with a smile, "We came here together; these are my colleagues."

White Roar of course had already noticed Yang Yi and Mike. After waiting for Schultz to introduce them, she immediately said to Yang Yi, "Hello, very pleased to meet you."
