Chapter 320: Chapter 319: Within Reach
The hospital uses blood plasma with anticoagulants for transfusions, so it doesn’t clot. Without anticoagulants, the plasma would quickly coagulate due to the action of platelets.
Yang Yi understood this, but he still didn’t understand why it had to be human blood plasma.
"Can’t we use animal blood? Just buy some anticoagulants and add them in, it would be much cheaper. Besides, medical blood plasma is very precious, it’s not good to waste it, right?"
Brian glanced at Yang Yi and said, "No, we use human blood plasma, purchase it in batches. Don’t buy too much the first time, two gallons will be enough."
Two gallons is more than seven liters, over seven thousand milliliters of blood. And it’s well-known that medical plasma is expensive, very expensive!
Mike frowned and said, "Let’s use animal blood instead, it’s too expensive!"
Brian shrugged and said, "If you want the best effect, you have to pay the price. It’s up to you to decide."
With a grimace, Mike waved dismissively and said, "Fine, we’ll buy medical blood plasma, fuck!"
Standing up, Brian said, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going back. Let me know when the plasma arrives."
After Brian left, Yang Yi made a gesture to Mike and hurriedly followed, saying, "Wait for me, I have something to say to you."
Accompanying Brian to his room, Yang Yi hesitated for a while before he could speak. At that moment, Brian said in a serious tone, "What do you want to say?"
Yang Yi took a deep breath and then said softly, "Brian, I know you’re eager to start looking for Kate, right?"
Brian nodded and said, "Yes."
Yang Yi spread his hands and said, "The Organization of Water has just been established and has no capacity to help you search. Also, there’s nothing pressing at the moment, so you can leave the organization to look for Kate."
After a look at Yang Yi, Brian nodded and said, "I will, soon."
Yang Yi said quietly, "But I feel that searching this way offers little hope, the chances are slim. Nonetheless, I know you can’t bear to sit around here doing nothing. So, you go find Kate. Once our own network of intelligence is set up, we can help you then. In addition, whatever it takes, once we have the capability, I promise to do everything in our power to help you find Kate. How does that sound?"
Looking at Yang Yi, Brian considered for a moment and finally patted Yang Yi’s shoulder, then let out a long sigh.
Looking somber, Brian said softly, "I will head to Russia first; I don’t know how long I’ll be staying there. If you need us, just call, and I’ll come back to help."
Yang Yi said quietly, "Thanks."
With a sigh, Brian said, "Don’t mention it. I hope you can help me soon. It won’t be an easy process. I’m prepared for this search to take a long time, maybe till the end of my life without finding Kate. But I have to start doing something, or I’ll go mad."
Yang Yi said sincerely, "I believe you will find her! You definitely will! Um, you’ll need some money, so I’ll scrape together some for you when you leave. How much do you think you’ll need?"
Brian smiled and patted Yang Yi’s shoulder again, saying with a smile, "Seeing Mike’s face, I know the Organization of Water is about to go broke. You don’t have to give me money. If I can’t even figure out money, what’s the point in searching?"
Yang Yi hesitated, but finally said, "Okay, we’ll talk about it when you leave. I’m going back now, get some rest."
After saying goodbye to Brian, Yang Yi returned to Mike’s room, where Mike lazily said, "Did you talk to him?"
"I did."
Spreading his hands, Brian said, "Since you’ve spoken, we might as well go ahead with your plan. Now, let’s call Schultz over, we need to ask him some questions."
"What do you want to ask him?"
"Of course about the hacker business. Having Schultz alone isn’t enough. Since Schultz is a very successful hacker, maybe he knows some people. I want to try and see if we can recruit a few more people to quickly set up our Network Intelligence Center."
Mike looked at Yang Yi and smiled, "You know, nowadays, people are used to communicating over the internet, so a Network Intelligence Center is extremely important. I dare say, as long as our Network Intelligence Center is up to standard, about seventy percent of the intelligence from the Organization of Water will come through the internet."
Yang Yi, of course, knew what a powerful Network Intelligence Center meant in this digital age, so he had no objections. He turned around and called Schultz over.
When Schultz arrived, Mike smiled and said, "Schultz, do you have any hacker friends? The very impressive kind, and it would be even better if they’re willing to work with you for the Organization of Water."
Schultz said excitedly, "Yes, I’ve told you, Red Flash and White Roar are my good friends, but whether they’re willing to work for the Organization of Water, I don’t know. But I can ask."
Red Flash was out of the question, because Yang Yi knew he was a big boss and would not likely work for the Organization of Water. As for White Roar, that was someone they could potentially try to recruit.
Yang Yi encouraged Schultz with a smile, "Then can you contact White Roar? Where is he? In Europe?"
Schultz shrugged, "I don’t know where he is. Hackers always keep that a secret, but I can contact him and ask if he’s willing to be a... spy!"
Mike asked, "When can you ask?"
"Right now. Just wait for me; I’ll go get my computer."
Schultz ran back. After all, he was a young man and was somewhat impatient.
Watching Schultz’s retreating figure, Yang Yi spoke in a low voice, "Is this way of finding people reliable?"
Mike responded indifferently, "How else can we find them? We have no other choice now. We have to grasp any possibility and not let go."
Schultz quickly ran back. In front of Yang Yi and Mike, he logged into a chat software, then left a message saying, "Are you there? I need to talk."
Yang Yi had thought that a hacker’s chat would be different, but he found out that the way Schultz greeted others was no different from ordinary people.
Shortly thereafter, Schultz’s computer received a string of English text.
"Here, what’s up?"
Schultz didn’t ask Yang Yi and Mike how he should phrase it, and with a rapid tapping of his fingers on the keyboard, he sent the message out.
"Can you tell me where you are?"
"Why do you ask?"
"I’m out. I have a very interesting matter I’d like to share with you. If you don’t want to say where you are, it’s okay, but I’d like to know."
After sending another message, it wasn’t long before a word appeared on the computer screen.
"London."
Seeing the name appear on the screen, Yang Yi slapped his hands together excitedly and said, "London! He’s actually in London!"
