If an assassin had been following him all this time, then it could only mean that the assassin was exceptionally good at hiding.

Yang Yi was indeed a bit surprised; Aaron was quite generous in his actions, seemingly giving him complete freedom and control.

Having Ferguson around was indeed a hindrance, not trustworthy and not someone you could send far away. If Aaron really let him have free rein, that would be extraordinarily convenient.

Aaron smiled and said, "You mentioned Reggie was doing well, let him try for now. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll arrange someone else for you."

Yang Yi did not hesitate any further and said with a deep voice, "Thank you, Chief. I’ll take my leave now. Uh, I think I need to apply for a gun to carry with me."

Aaron laughed and said, "You’re not used to carrying a gun with you? Although I think carrying a gun is not very useful, you are of course allowed to carry one if you wish. Go ahead."

Indeed, Yang Yi also felt that carrying a gun was of little use, but knowing that an assassin was targeting him, having a gun would be somewhat helpful.

Reggie was surprised and said, "That’s it... we’re dispersing?"

"Yeah, you’ll have to keep following me, but Ferguson has his tasks. Maybe we’ll work together again in the future, but for now, we’ve got our own things to do."

Yang Yi wouldn’t feel any emotion about Ferguson’s departure since he was just Aaron’s spy, but since Reggie had spent these days with Ferguson, the sudden breakup was somewhat hard to let go of.

Reggie and I went to get a couple of guns. Having a gun on you does make you feel a lot more secure, although Yang Yi was well aware that a gun was practically useless against an assassin because at the moment the assassin made their move, Yang Yi wouldn’t have a chance to draw his weapon.

When the flight arrived in New York and it was dark again, Yang Yi sent Reggie away and, of course, the first thing he did was to look for Anton.

"An assassin?"

"Call people? Is it necessary?"
