Chapter 1039: Chapter 1044 Deja Vu
The forged evidence was delivered the next morning. Before showing these CIA-forged documents to Petra, Yang Yi had to review them first and enrich the backstory of these photographs.
For instance, how he obtained these photos, and what happened when he got them. The more detailed the fabrication, the easier it would be to make people believe.
Bragging with CIA-provided evidence wouldn’t really count as bragging. As long as Yang Yi sought to win a woman’s heart, no one in the world had an advantage over him.
"It’s easy to explain why I can’t provide the original. I could say the originals are in Europe, so someone just faxed me a copy. But how should I explain how I got these documents?"
Anton carelessly picked up a photo. It was a blurry picture of a UFO. He then spoke solemnly, "In 1992, a KGB archives manager named Arga sold some files in Warsaw. He sold half a truckload of documents for sixty thousand US dollars. Finally, a newspaper bought all the files, supposedly they were of no value."
Picking up another photo, Anton continued, "In 1996, it was Arga again. He sold 60 files, totaling eight hundred thousand US dollars."
"This batch of intelligence is valuable, right?"
"Yes, mainly personnel files. Many of these individuals continue to hold important positions in Russia, so these files are very valuable. After selling these valuable files, Arga sold top-secret files one final time in 2008. These were his last stock, the leftovers that couldn’t sell, but his files were top-secret. They used to be top-secret, but by 2008, they had lost much of their value, though some were still very interesting and perhaps very valuable intelligence to some."
Anton put down the photo he was holding and then said solemnly, "Among them was a portion of the Blue Archives."
"What is the Blue Archives?"
"The KGB conducted extensive investigations, studying UFO activities within Soviet Union territories, and produced a report called the KGB Blue Archives. Some of the intelligence that Arga sold included parts of the Blue Archives."
Curious, Yang Yi asked, "How do you know so much?"
Anton indifferently replied, "Because Arga is a friend of mine, or something like a friend."
"Oh, please continue."
Anton continued flipping through the materials Yang Yi brought, casually saying, "Arga decided to auction some files of uncertain value. If someone interested showed up, it could fetch a good price. So, on July 6th, 2008, he held a small auction in Kiev. Twelve people participated, and he sold some of the Blue Archives for forty-three thousand dollars, dozens of them."
"And then?"
"I saw them, found it very interesting, and remembered it well. If you want to tell Petra, you can say you bought the files from Arga or that you bought them from someone else. It’s up to you..."
After picking up another photo, Anton suddenly paused, then after examining the photo carefully again, he said in great surprise, "I’ve seen this photo!"
"What?"
Anton flipped the photo over and said solemnly, "I’ve seen this picture! It was one of the photos sold by Arga!"
Yang Yi took the photo. It was a satellite picture, apparently taken on the moon, but clearly in the middle of a lunar crater, there was a blurry pyramid with lights on it.
Due to the age, the photo was blurry, but the building and lights were still very clear.
Yang Yi said in surprise, "This forgery is quite clumsy..."
Anton slammed his hand on the table and said fiercely, "What do you know! This is a photo from the Blue Archives, it’s not a fake!"
Yang Yi was stunned for a moment, then said, "But this looks too horrific. Are you also saying the pyramids were built by aliens?"
Impatiently waving his hand, Anton said, "Don’t talk to me about pyramids, it has nothing to do with that. Just look carefully, it only resembles them in shape. Then, if it is this photo, there should be another for comparison... Yes, this one!"
Anton picked up another photo, then said fiercely, "Look! This photo doesn’t have the lights. It was taken by the Luna-11 satellite at the same location. This is definitely real, understand?"
"I understand, if this is an alien’s spacecraft, are they still there?"
"How would I know."
Anton picked up the photo again and studied it carefully before suddenly saying, "Have you considered one issue?"
"Oh, you mean why the CIA released this photo, right? I think the documents Arga sold ended up with the CIA, which is quite normal."
Anton spoke in a low voice, "There were no CIA agents at that auction, but... it’s still very likely that they ended up with the CIA in the end. For now, that’s the only explanation we can use."
"I’ll ask Aaron about it when I get the chance. So, let’s get back to the main point, this file should contain evidence from a Soviet perspective that Americans successfully landed on the moon, but it’s all in Russian, so you choose."
Anton quickly pulled out a document from the text-only archives and then said solemnly, "Soviet satellites could observe the American moon landing. That’s true. But why didn’t Americans continue to go to the moon?"
"Why?"
"Because the Americans noticed a threat or were warned. Thus, they not only stopped their lunar mission but also claimed that the blueprints for the Saturn-5 rocket were destroyed, making future moon landings impossible. Moreover, after long discussions and negotiations, the US and Soviet Union agreed that neither side would continue with lunar programs."
"That’s unreal. Any evidence?"
"No, I heard it from Arga. He saw the files, but I didn’t. I only knew this because I had a casual talk with him after seeing the Blue Archives."
Yang Yi scratched his head and said, "I believe in aliens, but I never thought they’d be on the moon. Well, I only wanted to spark Petra’s interest, but now I’m curious too."
Anton disdainfully said, "If aliens could come here, they could eliminate us, just like we observe ants. Let me ask you, do ants care about being observed?"
"Ants don’t care, but I do—I’m not an ant."
Anton chuckled and said, "In the eyes of aliens, we’re no different from ants, so whether you’re interested in them or not doesn’t matter. Anyway, you won’t see aliens, so just calm down. What you’re doing has nothing to do with aliens; your target is Petra!"
