Chapter 1017: Chapter 1022 Technical Support

"What are your instructions?"

"I need technical support from Anton."

"Understood, please wait."

The internet is the easiest medium to be monitored, yet it’s also the safest way for remote communication. The reason lies in its massive user base. As long as you aren’t using an already targeted account and don’t use specific trigger words in the conversation, it’s difficult to attract attention.

"I am Anton."

Seeing these words appear on the screen, Yang Yi hesitated on how to speak to Anton.

"I need technical support, but this matter must remain confidential, particularly from the two ladies."

"Understood."

"I want to sabotage a marriage, both parties are from wealthy backgrounds, what should I do?"

"You?"

"Yes."

"There are many ways. I don’t know where to start. Give me a hint."

"No harm, no exposure, no discovery."

"That’s very simple. Marriages between high society families are complex but fragile; a single scandal can destroy a marriage. If you still don’t know what to do after this, I can’t provide any more technical support."

"Please remember, no exposure."

"No exposure is a matter of ability."

Yang Yi felt powerless to retort. He sighed and typed a line full of helplessness.

"Tell me the simplest method!!!"

"There are no simple methods, only appropriate ones. It’s simple for me and difficult for you. If you could handle those two ladies, you wouldn’t be asking me, but since you can’t even handle the woman you love, don’t expect to manage a stranger. And for me, women..."

Yang Yi felt his pride wounded, but just as he was about to type, Anton sent another message.

"Use technical means; don’t attempt to manipulate people, you’re not cut out for it!"

Yang Yi was almost ready to slam the table.

This is so infuriating!

"So the simplest method is just one, let me go."

Yang Yi took a deep breath. He was still pondering how to respond coolly and meaningfully to Anton, but he couldn’t think of anything, so Anton sent another message.

"If I cannot go there personally to help you, my only advice is to target the man; it’s easier that way. Some are good at dealing with women, some with men. You belong to the latter group."

Yang Yi didn’t want to talk to Anton anymore, as he found it completely pointless.

"Understood, let’s leave it at that, goodbye."

Yang Yi swiftly shut down the computer; he knew he was not good at handling women, and of course knew Anton was, but having it pointed out was unbearable nonetheless.

Technical methods, technical methods...

After pondering for a moment, Yang Yi sighed helplessly because he truly had no clue.

Might as well look into the target’s background first.

Information should be easy to find since Petra is supposed to be a socialite in the United States, resembling a celebrity, making data quite accessible.

But what surprised Yang Yi was that there was absolutely no information about Petra online, as if this woman was not a heiress of a wealthy family but a completely unknown ordinary girl.

Unable to find information about Petra online, he decided to look up information about Carlson Medron.

Carlson had plenty of data, but only relatively speaking.

Carlson was already 34 years old, holding a significant position within the Medron Consortium, certainly qualifying as a successful young man. And, indeed, this man was quite handsome.

It seemed there wasn’t much of an advantage in looks; Yang Yi touched his own face, realizing it wasn’t so easy to be the pretty boy.

Yang Yi accessed the CIA’s internal data network and finally found the basic data on Petra.

years old, a Harvard Business School graduate, that’s completely normal for a banker’s daughter. It couldn’t be more standard.

With the basic data, especially personal identity information at hand, further details were easier to find. Yang Yi quickly located Petra’s various social media accounts.

Finally, he saw her selfies and was surprised to find Petra quite beautiful. However, this lady didn’t show off wealth or flaunt luxury goods; almost no luxury items appeared in her daily photos, which perfectly matched the expected demeanor of a genuine elite heiress.

Keep in mind that the flashy, photo-showing rich kids are the minority; there are plenty of heirs who study harder and work more rigorously than the average person.

Yang Yi pondered for a moment, switched to another Facebook account, and then reached out again.

This time he was seeking technical support from Boer.

Soon, Boer’s reply arrived.

"It’s me, what’s up?"

"Do you know Oskanbel Roy? How about his daughter, Petra?"

"I know him well, I’ve seen his daughter when she was very little."

Indeed he knew her, Yang Yi felt a bit excited,

"Tell me about Petra."

"I just know her, not close, don’t know much really."

Yang Yi nearly spat blood, but it seemed to be the actual situation, so he patiently replied, "Just tell me everything you know."

"She’s very smart and beautiful, beyond that, I don’t remember much else."

Yang Yi sighed, then rather helplessly typed two words.

"That’s it?"

"Yes, I only met her once, for less than five minutes, what more could I remember?"

Yang Yi decided to give up, clearly he wasn’t going to get more useful information from Boer, but just then, Boer suddenly sent another message.

"One thing that left a deep impression on me; the first time I met her, this little girl was holding two books. I saw the covers; they were Stephen Hawking’s new book, The Universe in a Nutshell, she seemed very excited and thanked her father."

Yang Yi paused, then said, "Little girl?"

"Yes, that was ten years ago. I remember clearly; it was shortly after The Universe in a Nutshell was published. Hmm, I was surprised that a girl around ten years old could be interested in such books, so I asked, and Mr. Roy said those were his gifts to his daughter, Stephen Hawking’s autographed books, back when Hawking could still sign. One A Brief History of Time, one The Universe in a Nutshell, gifts for her birthday. Also, by that time, Petra had already finished A Brief History of Time, she was around... eleven years old?"

Yang Yi thought, then said, "Eleven years old reading A Brief History of Time?"

"Yes."

"That’s impressive, anything else?"

"That’s it, I was quite surprised and genuinely praised Petra a few times, but our circumstance at the time wasn’t suitable for talking too much about his daughter, so that’s all."

"This information is very useful, thank you."

Ending the conversation with Boer, Yang Yi mused to himself: "A Brief History of Time, eleven years old, interesting."
