Aaron laughed, a hearty and generous laugh.

Had Yang Yi not known what kind of person Aaron was, he really would have been impressed by him. He had no doubts about this.

If all villains had to look like scoundrels, then no villain in this world would ever be able to cause harm.

After laughing a few times, Aaron turned to Yang Yi and said, "Nicholas’s men were attacked today."

Yang Yi responded just as straightforwardly, "I did it. I ordered a full-scale attack. Without being able to find Nicholas, I targeted his men instead, trying to force Nicholas out. Because of the sudden orders you issued, I had to move on Nicholas sooner than planned—I worry... I might miss the chance to get rid of him."

"Let your men stop for a while. My support for Nicholas doesn’t mean protection for him. He can protect himself. What I can do is supply him with some arms, give him access to the markets, but Nicholas is not completely under my control. If it were a matter of letting him die, he would definitely resist."

Yang Yi said softly, "So that’s how it is."

Aaron nodded, then said solemnly, "Who are the people you control?"

"Jethro, one of Deyo’s former men."

Aaron snapped his fingers and said, "I will leave everything to you, don’t worry about that. But right now, Nicholas is helping me with something. Wait a few days, let him finish what I’ve asked him to do, and then you can make your move. But I must remind you, getting rid of Nicholas is your own business, understand?"

"I understand. I’ll take action myself, it has nothing to do with the CIA, and I won’t use CIA resources. But... can you tell me where Nicholas is? It’s not easy finding him."

Yang Yi immediately smiled and said, "Though it’s troublesome, working with a boss like you makes one feel more at ease. No problem, I’ll handle it myself."

Aaron turned his head away and spoke gravely, "Give Nicholas a month’s time. That should be enough. If he completes my task, I’ll inform you."

"Yes, sir."

"You’ve adapted to your role quite fast. Since that’s the case, I have a mission for you."

Without hesitation, Yang Yi said, "Yes, sir. I will complete any mission you assign me."

Aaron lowered his voice again and said solemnly, "This mission is a bit special, on U.S. soil, and it’s... very... well, it really is a special mission."

Yang Yi said firmly, "Please go ahead, sir. Whomever you want to take down, I promise I’ll carry out the mission cleanly."

Aaron paused, then shook his head repeatedly, "It’s not about taking anyone down—that wouldn’t qualify as a very special mission. Here’s the thing, do you know American Union Investment Banking Group?"

Yang Yi was taken aback, then shook his head, "I know of it, but I’m not very familiar."

"Then you must know about the Medron Consortium?"

"I’ve heard of it, one of the top ten consortia in the United States, but I’m not very familiar either."

Aaron nodded, then whispered, "The president’s daughter of American Union Bank is named Petra Roy. She’s going to marry Carlson Medron of the Medron Consortium. It’s a political marriage, and they’ve set the date for early next year. However, the exact date is still undecided..."

Yang Yi said with trepidation, "Why do I have a bad feeling about this?"

Aaron smiled and said, "Yes, your task is to sabotage this political marriage, make Petra and Carlson break up. I don’t care how you do it, but they absolutely must not get married!"

Yang Yi clasped his head and said with a look of shock, "What kind of mission is this?"

"Obviously, a very challenging mission. Listen, there are requirements: you absolutely must not harm either Petra or Carlson, absolutely not! Aaron paused, then gave a strained smile and said, "I admit you’re a very handsome young man, but... you had better think of other methods. If you fail using that strategy, I’ll have to find someone else. So, I think you better not rush to that option."
