Chapter 92: Divine Doctor

Around a month or so after Mo Chou was admitted to the hospital, Liu Dai’s secretary got a call. The caller stated that they had found the illusive miracle doctor that Liu Dai had been looking for but with no avail.

The best part was that the miracle doctor had even agreed to take a look at Mo Chou which was quite a surprise because it was well known that this miracle doctor didn’t care about anything and treated patients on their whims.

No amount of money or power could buy this doctor’s services unless the doctor was actually interested.

He hurriedly informed Liu Dai and after confirming that it was indeed the real deal, they arranged for the miracle doctor to be picked up from the airport and also everything required for the entire duration of the doctor’s stay in the country.

Since it was still uncertain if the miracle doctor would really succeed in waking Mo chou up, Liu Dai refrained from telling his family about it in order to not give them any false hopes. He didn’t want his family to be in any more pain than they already were in.

Mo Chou’s mind was slowly getting clearer by the day. It was as if the fog in her brain was lifting little by little.

Each day she was able to gain consciousness for a small amount of time, but unfortunately although could hear vaguely and sometimes even feel it when someone touched her, she couldn’t move her body at all.

Ever since Mo Chou had figured out that she had actually slipped into a coma, she had been trying to move her body in hopes that someone beside her would take notice and know that she was still present even though she kept slipping back into unconsciousness. Mo Chou had been feeling more and more hopeful lately because she could actually move her fingers a little and could actually feel her body which had only felt numb after she had fallen into the coma.

Present Day

Mo Chou had become more and more aware of her surroundings recently. Since she had been trained to be an assassin since she was a small child, she was more in tune with her senses than other people.

Even without opening her eyes, Mo Chou could know if someone had entered her room. She had actually been trying to open her eyes.

Mo Chou had tried letting everyone know that she was conscious by moving her fingers and toes but since it was winter, she had been fully covered with a fluffy blanket by someone while she was unconscious.

Hence her plan had unfortunately failed.

Mo Chou heard someone silently open the door to her room and enter quietly.

Whoever had entered, their footsteps were so silent that Mo Chou wondered if it was an assassin coming to kill her.

Though it was pretty unlikely, the thought instantly made her vigilant but even after entering the room for some time, the person just stood beside her bed without moving or talking.

A few minutes went by, and Mo Chou began wondering just who this strange person was.

After just standing there for a while, the person suddenly started moving near her bed which made Mo Chou slightly nervous because of their odd behavior.

She suddenly felt a featherlight touch on her forehead which was gone in a second.

Then, the person just left abruptly which greatly confused Mo Chou.

She didn’t have any idea who it was or what the person was doing in her room.

Mo Chou didn’t get any kind of malicious aura from them, rather she felt kind of sad when they just left but she brushed it off thinking that she was probably feeling lonely because she had been lying alone in the room.

After about an hour, the door to her room opened again. This time though, it seemed like multiple people instead of just one.

Mo Chou immediately recognized Liu Dai’s voice among the people which helped put her mind at ease. She trusted this cold but cute brother of hers.

She also recognised one other voice as Liu Dai’s secretary. Mo Chou wondered why Liu Dai had come along with his secretary because Mo Chou had always felt that the secretary wasn’t really fond of her which was pretty understandable thinking about the previous Mo Chou’s behavior.

There was one more person with them as well but the person had yet to speak so Mo Chou had no idea who it was.

After they reached her bedside, she heard Liu Dai’s secretary say, "This is the patient, Mo Chou. She has been in a coma after she was rescued from the flood. Please examine her".

’Oh, so they bought a new doctor again’. There had been a stream of new doctors who came to examine her. Every other day there would be a new doctor who would try and ’cure’ her.

Mo Chou had always been unconscious when they came to examine her before and had only known about them because the nurses who came to clean her had been gossiping.

This was the first time that Mo Chou was conscious while a doctor examined her which made her slightly excited. She wanted to try moving her fingers so that the doctor would know that she wasn’t a complete vegetable.

"I need you both to leave the room while I examine her". A slightly raspy voice answered. There was a beat of silence after which she heard Liu Dai say ,"let’s go".

Liu Dai and his secretary left the room soon after. Mo Chou was pretty sure that the doctor was a female even though she had a deep raspy voice and was probably trust worthy seeing that Liu Dai had bought her here. But still due to her line of work, Mo Chou was extra vigilant.

Fortunately, the doctor just examined her after pulling off the blanket that was covering her. So after making sure that the doctor didn’t have any bad motive, Mo Chou decided to try moving her fingers.

To her relief, she was really able to move three of her fingers. The doctor quickly noticed it and let out a small gasp.

She quickly lifted her eyelids and saw that Mo Chou’s eyes were a little dilated.

"Move your fingers again if you are conscious".

Mo Chou did as instructed and the doctor let out a laugh.

The doctor then checked her pulse with her fingers as she muttered something.

After she was done, the doctor said addressing Mo Chou," this should not even be possible with your condition. You really are something huh".

Mo Chou felt a sharp prick and everything went black again.
