Chapter 93: Back

The first thing Mo Chou heard when she woke up again was, "How much longer do we have to wait for her to wake up"?

She slowly remembered the events that had happened and thought to herself,’ S**t, that doctor used a needle to make me lose consciousness’.

Mo Chou started scanning her body to see if anything was wrong out of habit, but to her surprise she felt rather full of energy. Her body didn’t feel lethargic or sluggish anymore. On the contrary, she could fully feel her body now.

Mo Chou got exceedingly excited as she realised that her body felt completely normal. She immediately tried opening her eyes and to her utter joy, she succeeded on the first try.

Though it took some time and her eyes were tearing in order to adjust to the light, Mo Chou could now see everything.

The first thing that she saw was Liu Dai hovering beside her bed with a concerned and worried face. Mo Chou gave him a small smile in response and said, " hello big brother".

Upon hearing her voice and seeing her smile, Liu Dai’s worried expression finally transformed into a one of relief, "does anything hurt? Can you feel your whole body"?

"Umhm, everything seems pretty much fine". Mo Chou replied, "though I could drink some water for my throat".

"Ohh right, I’ll get it right away" Liu Dai hurried off towards the small pantry that was inside the hospital room. The room was more like an apartment than a hospital room with sofas, a tv and even a fridge.

Mo Chou took a quick look around before turning back towards Liu Dai. He was pouring her a glass of water.

Once she took a better look at his face, Mo Chou finally noticed his deep dark circles and red eyes. He also seemed to have become thinner than before and utterly exhausted.

Mo Chou felt sad for him but it also warmed her heart to know that this brother of hers who had been so icy towards her since the beginning had finally opened his heart towards her.

She knew that her family and friends had struggled due to her being in a coma.

She had heard Mo Li cry multiple times and the fact that she couldn’t even comfort her had absolutely broken her heart. Mo Chou had even heard Reaper crying and begging her to wake up. He clearly blamed the entire thing on himself.

Mo Chou knew that her friends visited her almost regularly and just accompanied her silently.

The only one who was missing was Lu Jinhai. Mo Chou had never heard his voice among her visitors.

She had also heard Li Chen and Huang Chunhua mention that he had been missing which worried her. Mo Chou hoped that Lu Jinhai was alright and would come visit her soon.

Liu Dai handed her the glass of water and after making sure that she could hold it properly, he excused himself and left the room to call the doctor and also inform his family members that Mo Chou was awake.

After a few minutes, a doctor entered the room and started examining her and asking various questions.

The doctor seemed quite shocked to see that Mo Chou could easily move her body. He excitedly told her that her recovery was a miracle.

When Mo Chou asked him about the person who had cured her, the doctor told her that he was clueless as well.

The hospital she was in currently actually belonged to the Liu family. They had a whole private floor to themselves and only certain people were allowed access to it.

He was one of the most qualified doctors and one of the few people who were aware of her condition in the hospital so he had been handed the task of checking over her just now.

No one really knew who had managed to cure her and they didn’t dare ask either although they were really curious.

Mo Chou just decided to ask her brother later. After all it was a good thing that she was awake now and all she wanted to do was meet her family and friends and reassure them. Everything else could be seen later.

The doctor left after he was done with the examination and Liu Dai also returned to the room.

Liu Dai and Mo Chou had never really hung out without the rest of the family but instead of feeling awkward, Mo Chou felt peaceful instead.

"Everyone will be here soon. Are you hungry? Do you want anything to eat?" Liu Dai started fussing again which made Mo Chou giggle slightly. She was indeed hungry so she asked him if he could bring her something light to eat.

Liu Dai agreed right away and left again.

Mo Chou felt slightly bored after he left again and glanced around the room. She was still slightly weak and numb so she didn’t want to try moving around just yet.

She didn’t want everyone to worry further about her either so she just stayed put.

There was a brand new phone on the bedside table which caught her attention. She took a hold of it and saw that there was a tiny note stuck to it which read, ’for little one’.

Mo Chou immediately figured out that this phone was for her from her big brother. It was locked though but she unlocked it pretty quickly as the password that had been set was her birthday.

Once it got turned on, Mo Chou saw that there were a lot of messages and missed calls on the phone which slightly puzzled her. She took a look at everything and found out that the sim on the phone had her number on it.

It wasn’t much of a difficult task for Reaper after all. There were a lot of unread messages and missed calls from everyone. Mo Chou first quickly sent a message to her friends group chat saying that she was now awake and in good health.

She figured that Li Chen and Huang Chunhua were probably at the University right now but she still left some messages. She also wanted to take a look at Lu Jinhai’s chat but she strangely couldn’t find it.

’Huh, just what happened to him’? Mo Chou wondered.

She was about to look again but the door to her room suddenly opened and Mo Li barged in with tears already running down her face. "My baby"....
