Chapter 58: Angry wife

Mo Chou had a day without any other hiccups after getting rid of An Daiyu.

She only hoped that her friends would not find out about the little incident as she didn’t want them to be concerned or anything, she personally took it as a fly buzzing near her anyway, annoying but nothing to be worried about.

Her friends might even scold her for not telling them about the incident but Mo Chou knew that no matter how much she hoped they wouldn’t find out, it was impossible to stop everyone’s mouth from running.

Especially the bored university students who were always hungry for more gossip, there was no stopping them.

Mo Chou knew that the news about An Daiyu cheating on her brother had probably already reached Huang Chunhua and Li Chen’s ears but they had kept their mouths shut and hadn’t asked her anything, probably out of consideration which Mo Chou was thankful for.

Mo Chou had no idea if Lu Jinhai participated in all the gossip though,obviously not in person but it still seemed unlikely that he would read or join in on the gossip online. She wondered what Lu Jinhai did when he went home from university, what he did he do to kill boredom?

"Hey, what do you usually do in your free time?" Mo Chou decided to just ask him as he was right next to her anyway.

"Me?" Lu Jinhai pretended to think, he took a strand of her long hair and said, "I spend my time thinking about you".

Mo Chou went fully red. She was speechless, how can someone flirt with such a serious look on their face?

"Y_you shut up" she said embarrassedly.

Lu Jinhai shrugged and said, "I am just telling the truth, you are the one who asked me in the first place".

Mo Chou "...."

"Don’t say it if you don’t want to, why are you making up lies" Mo Chou reprimanded.

Lu Jinhai gave her a helpless look and kept quiet, wasn’t he telling the truth? Even when he wanted to, he couldn’t get her off his mind. He was the one suffering here okay.

After the class ended, Mo Chou was about to head to the next class with Lu Jinhai when she saw Li Chen and a breathless Huang Chunhua speed walking towards her.

"Uh-oh" she thought, looking at their determinedly and a little angry expressions.

Li Chen arrived in front of her first and scanned her from head to toe just like how Lu Jinhai had done previously, after confirming that she wasn’t injured or in any kind of pain, she said, "young lady, I am very disappointed in you. You should have told us that such a huge thing happened. We are supposed to be friends, but only found out that you were attacked from other people".

Huang Chunhua also added, "exactly what she said".

Mo Chou looked at both of them. They seemed angry but she knew that they were a little hurt by this too.

Mo Chou didn’t mean to make her friends sad, she had already thrown everything to the back of her mind and didn’t even think that it was a big deal but she had forgotten that not everyone was like her and others would consider it to be a big deal, not everyone used to be an assassin who danced with death multiple times like herself.

Mo Chou immediately apologized to them, "I’m sorry guys, I wasn’t injured at all and the situation was under control. I just didn’t want you to be concerned about it but I promise not to keep anything from you next time".

Mo Chou was fully focused on Li Chen and Huang Chunhua, so she didn’t notice the rapidly darkening expression on Lu Jinhai’s face.

Li Chen and Huang Chunhua were pretty upset but still decided to forgive Mo Chou. Before they left for classes, they warned Mo Chou one last time about hiding such stuff from them and only left after Mo Chou promised them again.

After they left, Mo Chou headed towards the class. She was thinking something and didn’t notice the frigid aura of the person next to her.

She only jolted out of her thoughts when Lu Jinhai came close to her and asked, "who was it?" in a low voice.

"Huh" Mo Chou was confused for a moment but quickly understood what he was asking about.

"It was my brother’s ex fiance" she said truthfully.

"Where is she right now?" Lu Jinhai asked her.

"I sent her to my dad, he will handle it and make sure such a thing won’t happen again. You don’t have to worry about it" Mo Chou said, thinking he was just concerned about her like Li Chen and Huang Chunhua.

"Okay" Lu Jinhai answered with a seemingly normal tone but Mo Chou couldn’t help but think that he was still upset. His face seemed normal but the aura he was giving off was a little tense.

"Don’t worry, I am more than capable of handling such people" Mo Chou added, wanting to reassure him once again.

Lu Jinhai just nodded his head. He was furious on the inside, somehow he had turned completely obsessed with Mo Chou.

He hadn’t even made a move on her or finished wooing her yet but people kept trying to harm her left and right.

Lu Jinhai wanted to slowly win over Mo Chou because he knew that she was not someone who could be trapped although he would have loved to keep her locked up, monopolizing her forever but he was getting impatient now, after every incident, he wanted to bind her to him so he could protect her and keep her safe next to him.

’Haah, how did I become like this? I don’t know if it is a good thing or a bad thing but I do know that I can’t stop now even if I want to’.

Mo Chou had just reached her class when she was informed by a classmate that the teacher was absent that day. She didn’t have anywhere to go so she asked Lu Jinhai if they should go sit outside somewhere.

Lu Jinhai agreed and they headed out, Mo Chou didn’t want to leave the University grounds but fortunately there were plenty of places for students to hang out during breaks inside the University grounds.

There were shady spots to hide from the sun and even small pavilions which were decorated with flowers creating a beautiful scenery.

Mo Chou and Lu Jinhai sat down inside an empty pavilion. There were just one or two students outside but otherwise it was relatively empty. When the beautiful Mo Chou and the devilishly handsome Lu Jinhai sat together inside the small pavilion decorated with flowers and leaves, the view was really noteworthy.

A student who was passing by couldn’t help but click a picture and post it on her weibo. She really should not hide such an aesthetic picture right.

Mo Chou was enjoying the small breeze inside the pavilion when she received a call. She had changed her call settings in such a way that her phone would only ring when she got calls from certain numbers as she didn’t really like being disturbed by ringtones.

She looked at the phone and saw that her phone had rang because it was Mo Li calling.

Mo Chou had been expecting calls from her family and was actually surprised that it took them so long. She had told the guard to tell her dad not to worry or panic about her though.

’I guess mom just found out about it’ she thought as she picked up the call.

Lu Jinhai was sitting silently beside her, just enjoying her company. When he heard her phone ringing, he took the opportunity to put his head on her shoulder leaning against her.

Mo Chou picked up the call and was fully focused on the call, so she didn’t even feel nervous like the other times and casually switched the phone to her other hand so that he could lean on her comfortably.

Lu Jinhai was obviously very pleased with her actions and even unconsciously let out a smile. It was actually a little hard to lean on her as he was taller than her but he couldn’t bear to sit normally now.

Mo Chou was talking to her mom, Mo Li had lost it completely when she had heard from Liu Qiang that Mo Chou was attacked.

She had just returned from a shopping trip when Liu Qiang told her about the whole incident and although he reassured her again and again that Mo Chou was completely unharmed and didn’t even have a scratch on her, she had still called her right away.

Mo Li was actually also a little angry at Liu Qiang’s decision of just sending An Daiyu to old master Liu. If the decision had been left to her, she would have certainly punished An Daiyu severely for trying to harm her precious daughter.

Liu Qiang who was being ignored by his wife was sitting on the side while she called Mo Chou with a sad expression. Mo Li even rolled her eyes when he tried to use his puppy dog eyes which usually always worked.

’Oh no, this time I have completely angered my dear wife’.
