Old master Liu, after receiving the phone call from Liu Qiang, had decided to see for himself just what kind of person this ’An Daiyu’ was. He was not a person who could be easily deceived.

Before An Daiyu had even arrived, old master Liu had made preparations. He wanted to test her character and had sat in front of the computer watching An Daiyu’s entrance through the CCTV cameras that were placed outside.

Old master Liu was an important character after all and had also made many enemies during his lifetime of military service and business. His house looked a little ancient but it was secured with the best security system and had hidden CCTV cameras everywhere.

His old butler was also with him when he was watching An Daiyu. The old butler was quite sharp as well and immediately saw through An Daiyu. He even thought, ’it’s good that this kind of person was kicked out of the Liu family. Who knows what she would do if she really had become the young mistress’.

Old master Liu had already come to a conclusion regarding An Daiyu’s character after watching her disdainful and superior expressions while she observed his house.

He didn’t really want to interact with someone who looked down upon him, but he still decided to go ahead and meet her just to know if she had bad intentions towards the Liu family.

Still, he wanted to teach her a lesson, so after the maid opened the door to let An Daiyu inside the courtyard, she was led to a small room with only some uncomfortable chairs in it. The maid told her to sit and wait for old master Liu and then left her alone.

An Daiyu wanted to stop her, she was actually quite thirsty and wanted some water and she also wanted to know when old master Liu would be arriving but the maid pretended not to hear her and left quickly.

After the door closed behind the maid, An Daiyu actually started cursing with a twisted expression, "who does this b***h think she is? Just wait till I teach you a proper lesson".

Old master Liu and old butler who were watching her heard her words and immediately became angry. The maid was one of the senior maids and was quite advanced in age, how could An Daiyu curse at her in such a way?

Old master Liu felt like he would probably be angered to death if he kept watching her, so he went to eat some lunch. Before he went, he instructed his butler, "our ’guest’ seems to be feeling cold, turn the air conditioner in that room off".

The old butler was obviously delighted to do the assigned task and immediately got to it while thinking, ’our old master can be quite evil at times as well’.

An Daiyu sat quietly in the room after she finished cursing out the maid. She kept waiting and waiting but there was no sign of anyone. It was actually quite outside and not to mention old master Liu, even the servants were also nowhere to be seen.

An Daiyu was feeling really thirsty already and the room temperatures seemed to be rising, making her sweat and feel even more parched.

When she finally couldn’t take it anymore, An Daiyu stood up and went outside planning to find a servant for some water. She couldn’t find anyone even after looking around for five minutes. An Daiyu really couldn’t bear the thirst anymore, so she chose a direction and kept walking.

After wandering around for a while, she finally found someone, it was none other than the old butler.

The butler also saw An Daiyu. He obviously knew who she was but pretended to be surprised and asked, "hey miss, who are you? You know that trespassing is a crime right?"

An Daiyu was instantly furious, first she had been ignored and now she was even mistaken as a trespasser, she retorted back in a harsh tone, "who said I was trespassing? Grandpa Liu invited me himself. I am a guest here so go bring me a glass of water and inform old master Liu that I am waiting for him".

The old butler was quite disgusted when he heard An Daiyu addressing old master Liu as grandpa. "Alright, I’ll inform the old master, please don’t wander around and try not to touch anything" with that the old butler left.

An Daiyu was even more furious, she couldn’t stand being dismissed by a mere servant and even mocked. Still, she knew that she really could not cause trouble there, so she obeyed the butler and stayed silent.

The old butler just left her alone where she was standing in the hallway, so An Daiyu didn’t know what to do, there were no chairs to sit in, ’should I go back to the room or just stay here? I don’t know which direction the room is in even if I want to go’.

An Daiyu just gritted her teeth and stood there. The butler didn’t arrive even after seven minutes and her feet were starting to hurt from standing.

Finally, the butler arrived, he looked at her as if he was surprised and said, "you should have stayed in the living room instead of standing here miss, it is right beside you". The butler pointed at the door beside An Daiyu.

"How would I know if it was the guest room?" An Daiyu said irritably. "Oh right" the butler just replied casually and said, "the old master would like to see you, please follow me".

’Finally’ thought An Daiyu as she followed the old butler.

The butler knocked on a door and entered. An Daiyu followed him and saw old master Liu who was sitting inside what looked like an ancient scholar’s study room.

’Ugh, everything is so old fashioned’ thought An Daiyu. What she didn’t know was that even the simple looking small calligraphy inside the room cost millions.

An Daiyu looked up at old master Liu after looking around the room and froze. Old master Liu’s aura was really strong. An Daiyu could help but tremble a little when she was being stared at by old master Liu. ’Wasn’t he just supposed to be some old loner? If so, why am I feeling so suffocated under his gaze’?

"Why did you want to meet me?" Old master Liu immediately got to the point.

"I_I wanted to see you because my grandfather had told me to meet you before he died" An Daiyu couldn’t help but stutter.

Old master Liu raised an eyebrow, "is that so"?

"Yes, I have admired you since I was a small child because my grandfather always told me stories about you and your heroic deeds" An Daiyu didn’t forget to put on an act even though she was scared.

"Oh really, I would like to hear exactly what he said about me to make you idolise me so much" said old master Liu as he knew that she was bluffing.

"I_I can’t remember anything clearly" An Daiyu made up an excuse as she really didn’t know anything.

"Hmm, Is that all you wanted to say?" asked old master Liu as he wanted to see just what tricks she had up her sleeves.

An Daiyu immediately fell into his trap and started acting. She didn’t sob this time but lowered her head as if she had been wronged. "I wanted to thank you for your help and generosity all these years. You probably know this already but I was tricked and forced to move out of the Liu Mansion. Although I want to fulfill my grandfather’s last wish by marrying Liu Dai, I don’t think I can do it now since I was framed".

"How were you framed?" Old master Liu played along and asked.

"It’s nothing, it was probably a misunderstanding anyway" An Daiyu said hurriedly looking hesitant but on the inside she was jumping with joy thinking that old master Liu had fallen into her traps.

"You should tell me how you were wronged, if you were really framed, l will help you get justice" said old master Liu in a firm tone.

"I do want justice but the person who framed me is none other than Mo Chou, your granddaughter".

"How did my granddaughter frame you?" Old master Liu was quite intrigued hearing Sn Daiyu’s words.

An Daiyu looked at old master Liu with a hesitant expression and pretended to have made up her mind and said, "Mo Chou tricked me into having improper interaction with a guy".

Old master Liu was shocked hearing An Daiyu blatantly blaming Mo Chou, "how did she do it"?

"She invited me to a hotel pretending to invite me for lunch and then made a guy assault me. She even prepared reporters to frame me" An Daiyu pushed all the blame to Mo Chou shamelessly.

"Hmm, I still have to look into this matter. I will call you when I have finished my investigation. You may go" old master dismissed An Daiyu.

The butler escorted An Daiyu out of the house and locked the door without even giving her the time to process anything.

An Daiyu "...."

Still, An Daiyu was pleased as she thought that old master Liu had fallen for her act. She thought she just had to wait and everything would be according to her plans.

Old master Liu was in deep thought after throwing An Daiyu out. He obviously didn’t believe any of An Daiyu’s words but still wanted to know how Mo Chou was involved in everything. He called the butler and ordered him to investigate the whole incident and give him the reports as soon as possible.
