Chapter 27: Amazing defence

Mo Chou had an uneventful day at the University. She had already gotten used to the attention she got and her people skills had also improved as she interacted with everyone. Three new girls had joined their table during break and excitedly chatted with Mo Chou.

Mo Chou could also feel hostile gazes from time to time but she honestly couldn’t care less. She knew that people were still spreading rumors about her but she wasn’t in a hurry to deal with them.

Though Mo Chou was content, Lu Jinhai hadn’t attended the classes for yet another day and she couldn’t help but take his absence to heart. She even wondered if she should text him but decided against it. ’We aren’t that close anyway’.

Mo Chou still felt a little down even though she thought that way. She decided that she would ignore him in the future.

When Mo Chou arrived home, Butler Xue informed her that Liu Qiang had already arrived but he had taken her mother to a dinner date. He had left her a message to go to bed early and not to wait for them as they might be late. Mo Chou smiled as she thought of her parents’ relationship.

They were really deep in love and always acted lovey-dovey.

Ever since they had gotten married, they hadn’t stayed at home. Always off on a trip or on a date. Liu Qiang was not strict at all and let her do anything she pleased, which was also one of the reasons the villainess was so arrogant. She didn’t have any adults to supervise her and people like Zhao Lili could easily lead her astray.

Actually in the novel, Mo Chou was incited by Zhou Lili and others to do a lot of things which later lead to her doom. Speaking of doom, Mo Chou wondered what the female lead was doing currently. The time for the main leads to meet for the first time was still yet to come.

’I can’t wait to see the main leads together, it will simply be a feast for the eyes’.

Mo Chou headed to her room thinking about the plot of the novel. She opened the door and sat down on the ’workspace’ she had created for herself which was just a desk with her new computer on it. She was bored and wanted to see if there were any new missions.

She turned her computer on and was just browsing around in the ’new mission’ area when someone attempted to hack her computer. Mo Chou didn’t panic at all, rather she was amused and wanted to see if the hacker could succeed in going through her defenses.

Assassin Organization

007 tried to keep himself awake as he waited for ’M’ to show up. He had just returned from a mission two days ago and heard the shocking news. They actually had a new ’SSS’ class assassin.

There were only three ’SSS’ class assassins in the whole organisation in the first place. The ridiculous thing was that this assassin was accepted on the spot because of their insane hacking skills.

Although the assassin wasn’t placed on the ranking board yet because they had yet to complete more than ten missions which was a requirement, ’M’ was already very popular among the higher-ups. What 007 couldn’t stand was that even 003 admitted that he was inferior to ’M’ in hacking skills. 007 worshiped 003 as he was the best hacker in the entire organisation. He couldn’t believe there was someone stronger than him, so he decided to judge for himself.

He had been waiting for ’M’ to be online for two whole days but there was no trace of him/her. 007 was thinking about taking a break when he saw that ’M’ had actually come online. He immediately started hacking into their computer excitedly, he wanted to see just who this mysterious person was and if they were worth the title of ’SSS’ class assassin.

007 was planning on hacking into ’M’s computer and accessing their camera to see just who this mysterious person was. He started hacking but quickly found that there was actually a defense system for hackers in the computer. The defense system seemed pretty solid which excited 007.

His fingers flew across the keyboard as he attempted to destroy the defense wall.

After a few minutes though, 007 started sweating. He couldn’t believe it, he was one of the best hackers in the whole organisation and could be said to be one of the best in the whole country but he still hadn’t managed to take down the defense.

007 had hacked into top companies and even the government, but still none of them could compare to this defense wall. His fighting spirit got ignited and 007 became even more determined to hack into this computer.

After twenty minutes of non stop hacking, 007 finally took down the defense wall but just as he was about to rejoice his victory, he realized in horror that his own computer was being hacked. Turns out that there were two more hidden defense walls, the second wall could actually hack into the opponent’s computer to destroy it while still maintaining the defense.

007 immediately panicked and attempted to save his computer. His computer was a super expensive custom made one which he had modified himself. In other words, his computer was his life.

’I shouldn’t have courted death by provoking this bigshot’ he thought but it was too late now as the deed was done.

007 racked his brains but couldn’t figure out what to do. His computer was completely hacked and was probably going to get destroyed.

All of a sudden, his computer screen went blank and a line of text appeared. ’Do you admit defeat?’ Below the question were two options. 007 hurriedly clicked on ’Yes’ and thought hopefully ’maybe, i can still get spared’.

Soon, another line of text appeared: ’since we are from the same team, I can spare you’. Just as 007 was about to celebrate, another sentence popped up ’But on the condition that you will fulfill three of my requests in the future’.

’I knew there was a catch’ though 007. He actually wanted to immediately agree but thought about it a little, what if their request was something that was absurd and went against his bottom line?

He was thinking of what to do when another line showed on the screen ’don’t worry, you can reject my request if it goes against your morals’.

007 immediately answered affirmatively. He had now turned into a fan of the mysterious ’M’. He wanted to talk to them and ask for pointers. ’M’ was simply a godly existence. 007 was also curious about the third wall of defense in ’M’s computer. The second wall was already so powerful, he wondered how terrific the third wall was.

Just as he was wondering how to talk to ’M’, his screen returned to normal. 007 checked his computer and found that nothing had been harmed and none of the important files on his computer had been touched. The sad thing was that ’M’ had also gone offline again.

Obviously 007 didn’t have the courage to hack into their computer again but he really wanted to talk to ’M’. He thought for a while and came up with a way. He found 003 whose office room was right next to his and begged him to add him to the group chat that they had created with ’M’.

003 agreed as it was not a big deal but wondered what had happened to 007 as he was voicing his doubts regarding ’M’ just a little while ago.

When he asked him what had happened for him to change his opinion, 007 just awkwardly scratched his head and admitted how he had been taught a lesson by ’M’. After hearing the whole story, 003 simply said "you deserve it" and left.

007 had a good character but he was too hot blooded and liked challenging people for no reason. It was good that he had been taken down a notch even though he looked quite happy about it.

Mo Chou was in a good mood. The hacker, who she had learned was ranked seventh in the entire organisation and called 007 had promised to fulfill her three requests.

She was good at many things but that didn’t mean that she wouldn’t need any help in the future. She would obviously take advantage of the opportunity that had come knocking on her door.

In addition to that, she had a fun time as she watched 007’s attempt at defending his computer. His expression when he realized that he was getting hacked was hilarious. Through his files, she had found that he was one of the best hackers in the entire country so it could be seen that her defense system didn’t have any flaws.

She wondered if she should sell her defense system in the market as it would definitely be a hit. She might even make a fortune.

Mo Chou decided to make a proposal to sell it. She would first approach the Assassin Organization as they obviously needed it in case they met someone as good as her. Mo Chou let out a yawn, she had unknowingly stayed up late. She wasn’t really feeling like having dinner and just took a shower before heading to bed.
