In Lu enterprise’s branch office

Huo Jichen had dark circles under his eyes. Just as Lu Jinhai had finally given them a much needed break, an emergency had cropped up. It was a huge matter as confidential data of the company had been stolen by one of their rival companies.

A trusted employee had actually been bribed by them. Although they found out about the situation early on and minimized the total damage, Lu Jinhai had been swamped with work. He had not even been able to rest a little and had been actively working in order to prevent another situation like this one.

Huo Jichen also noticed that Lu Jinhai excluded an even more dangerous aura now. He had even personally come to the side branch in country A to do damage control and made an example out of the traitor. The currently ongoing meeting had begun four hours ago and everyone was on the verge of crying.

Huo Jichen was so desperate to get some rest that he even started praying that the ’little rabbit’ would text Lu Jinhai as it seemed to be the only way he was going to go easy on them but to his bad luck, Lu Jinhai’s private phone had long been dead and he didn’t even have the time to charge it.

Lu Jinhai was actually a little distracted. He had been working non stop since he got the call at the University. Since he was determined to get stronger, he could not afford to make even minor mistakes but he still could not help but wonder whether Mo Chou had missed him today.

He hadn’t even charged his dead phone because he knew that if he even looked at Mo Chou’s name on his phone, he would be tempted to return back to spend time with her, so he had been trying to focus hundred percent of his mind on work but it was just making him more irritable.

Huo Jichen sighed as he felt like it was going to be a long night of torture.

Mo Chou was being chased by the white kitten. She was desperately running but the kitten still caught up to her. Mo Chou was suddenly on the edge of a cliff. She couldn’t run anymore but was contemplating on falling to her death when the kitten pounced on her.

She was falling to her death when the kitten actually turned into Lu Jinhai and carried her in his arms. He was wearing a white suit and looked at her tenderly.

He puckered his lips and Mo Chou watched him slowly inch nearer.

Just as Lu Jinhai was about to kiss her, she woke up. When she became fully awake, Mo Chou’s face turned red like a tomato. She punched her pillow in anger. She was a top class assassin, not a teenager who chased after good looking guys. Mo Chou decided to blame the cat. The kitten was probably an evil entity trying to harm her.

She clenched her fists and determinedly got up from her bed. She was going to get rid of the kitten no matter what.

Mo Chou braced herself and went to the kitten’s room. To her dismay, Mo Li was already there playing with the cat. Mo Li saw her and happily came over with the kitten in her arms.

"Come play with us darling, look how adorable he is "she said.

"No thanks mom, actually i prefer dogs now but since you already brought it, you can have it" Mo Chou quickly made an excuse.

She felt like the kitten was actually looking at her in disdain but quickly refused the thought. ’How would the kitten know what I’m saying?’

Mo Li looked sad when she heard Mo Chou so she quickly added, "I can’t take care of the kitten anyways, I’m swamped with homework". Mo Li finally looked better and said " you should at least give it a cute name".

Mo Chou agreed and quickly thought of something. She wanted to give the kitten an evil name but stopped herself as she didn’t want to make Mo Li sad. She casually said "Baobao". Mo Li immediately clapped and said excitedly " yay Baobao not bad, it means darling".

Mo Chou turned speechless, she was actually just thinking of bao buns so she nodded guilty.

Suddenly Baobao started meowing. It was trying to escape from Mo Li’s arms. Mo Chou thought of her dream and immediately escaped saying she had something to do. ’Phew, it’s definitely an evil entity’ she thought.

Mo Chou didn’t really feel hungry and also had plenty of time till class, so she decided to go on a run. The Liu family’s mansion was huge and occupied a lot of land, so she didn’t even have to leave the property. Mo Chou changed her clothes and started jogging while slowly increasing her speed.

She was about to take off on a run when she heard someone call her.

It was actually Liu Dai. He was also wearing workout clothes. Mo Chou waited for him to catch up wondering what the matter was. To her surprise, Liu Dai just said " I’ll join you" and started running. Seeing that she wasn’t beside him, Liu Dai said "come on, it’s almost time for breakfast ".

Mo Chou decided to just accept his weird behavior and resumed her jog but she didn’t speed up too much as she felt like that would be too surprising for Liu Dai. Both of them silently jogged together for a while. When they finished circling the property, Liu Dai declared that it was time for breakfast.

Mo Chou was also quite hungry, so she followed him inside. When they entered the dining room, she saw that Mo Li was actually waiting for them. She looked around and was relieved that it was only Mo Li and the little ’monster’ was not present.

Mo Li sat at the head of the table and invited them to sit on her either side. Mo Chou sat down and they started having breakfast. The one thing Mo Chou liked the most after being reincarnated was that she ate like a king every day. The food was always delicious and there were always many dishes. It was a completely different feeling than in her previous life, where she ate instant noodles almost every day.

Mo Li had a lively personality and couldn’t keep quiet even while eating, she talked to Mo Chou animatedly about how cute ’Baobao’ was and how she was going to build the best cat play area for it.

Liu Dai even added some suggestions from time to time and Mo Chou felt glad that him and Mo Li had a good relationship as he was the ’male protagonist’ after all.

When they finished eating, Liu Dai was about to go get ready for work when Mo Chou remembered that she had brought gifts for them. She told them to stay in the room and quickly fetched the gifts.

She first gave Mo Li her necklace and then handed the cuff links to Liu Dai.

Mo Li excitedly opened her present and immediately put it on. She gave Mo Chou a kiss and emotionally thanked her "my little baby has grown up".

Liu Dai on the other hand looked at his wrapped present in a daze. "Is this for me?"he asked. Mo Chou knew that he was surprised and said embarrassedly "I just thought it would look good on you".

"Thank you, I like it very much," Liu Dai thanked her.

Mo Chou felt happy that her family liked her gifts. She had parents and even a brother, she could even laugh in her sleep.

Shen Xue looked at her laptop and gritted her teeth. ’How did this happen? That b***h was supposed to be destroyed, how did she end up gaining more fans instead.’

The whole matter was bizarre. Her father was the investor of the news channel, they had obediently posted the edited video and slandered Mo Chou but all of a sudden someone sneakily posted the original video on the same channel.

Shen Xue had immediately gotten her father to delete the new video but no matter what, it couldn’t be deleted. It was of no use now anyways as people had already seen the whole thing. All her efforts went to the drain. She had even spent her pocket money to hire a man to follow Mo Chou around and look for an opportunity to destroy her image.

’What kind of dog shit luck does Mo Chou have?’she thought.

What made her even more infuriated was that the guy she had fancied actually followed Mo Chou around the whole day and even looked at her so gently. She had obviously seen him first but that s**t had seduced him. Not to mention her cousin Zhao Lili, she had completely destroyed her future. Her uncle’s company was also facing problems one by one.

Shen Xue cursed and swore to herself that she would definitely make Mo Chou suffer.
