A small news channel had posted a video titled ’the true hypocritical face of a certain new popular rich girl exposed: don’t miss out on this hot piece of news’.

The eye-catching topic immediately caught many netizens’ eyes. There were many people who had nothing to do and liked to scroll the various posts to find juicy gossip. Even though the news channel was not a popular one, many people still clicked on it.

The news channel had first righteously claimed how they wanted to expose a famous rich girl for being someone who looked down on the poor.

They went on and on about how such people deserved everyone’s hate. After everyone read the article, they became curious and clicked on the attached video.

It was a video of Mo Chou from the mall. It was obviously heavily edited and showed a guy kowtowing and begging Mo Chou. It also included Mo Chou talking about the price of the dress. Immediately people recognized Mo Chou from the previous trending topic and started sharing the post crazily.

As the post got popular, many people started scolding Mo Chou. Even though Mo Chou had some fans who tried to point out that the video was edited, they were quickly snuffed by the majority of the commentators who were scolding Mo Chou. As Mo Chou had just recently gained popularity, she didn’t have that many loyal fans anyways.

The post gained popularity so quickly that it seemed almost abnormal. It was obvious that there were also people hired specifically to comment on the post and share it.

Even though the news channel had posted the video around midnight, it still gained a lot of hype and actually started climbing the trending spots.Mo Chou’s name and identity had already been made known to the netizens previously so everyone knew that she was from a rich and famous family.

Many people also went to the previous video of Mo Chou acting and left comments scolding her.

"I previously thought Mo Chou was a talented beauty but I didn’t expect her to turn out to be such a person".

"The previous commentator is right, we really can’t judge a book by its cover".

"Just because someone is rich doesn’t mean they can do whatever they want, Mo Chou will definitely get retribution".

"Her dress isn’t even branded and looks like cheap quality, still she insists that its worth a lot. Just because you are rich doesn’t mean that you can distort the true value of anything".

There were even people saying that she was over-hyped and her previous drama performance wasn’t even good. Comments claiming that she had plastic surgery and even bought the previous trending topic started spreading too.

Bai Fang was delighted as she scrolled through the internet. She didn’t even take a step and Mo Chou had already met her downfall. ’Serves her right to be arrogant’ she thought to herself. She hired a few keyboard warriors to fan the flames and just enjoyed the show. She didn’t know who was behind this but she thanked the person in her heart for helping her vent her frustration.

Mo Chou woke up in the morning and saw that she had a lot of text messages from Li Chen and Huang Chunhua. There were even a few missed calls.

Mo Chou wasn’t really too worried as nothing major could have happened. She had actually woken up a little late today and would be heading to university shortly anyways, so she decided to just ask them later.

Mo Chou wanted to arrive at the university early to avoid the previous day’s situation. It was really too tiring being ogled all the time. She quickly got ready and even had breakfast in the car on the way to the university.

When she reached the University, she headed towards her dorm room which she shared with Li Chen and Huang Chunhua as they were most likely to be there.

Mo Chou knocked on the door and waited. Huang Chunhua opened the door and was surprised to see her there. She hurriedly pulled her into the room and looked around to see if anyone had seen them.

She even questioned Mo Chou if anyone had seen her after she arrived and heaved a sigh of relief when Mo Chou answered negatively. Looking at her strange behavior, Mo Chou asked her "what happened, Is there anything wrong"?

Li Chen was on the bed hunched over the laptop typing furiously. Hearing her question she replied " some news channel posted an article about you and it has gone viral, the article is also on the University forum".

Instead of explaining any further, She handed over the laptop to Mo Chou.

Mo Chou finally understood what had happened and the reason behind their numerous texts but she also felt a little sad "You don’t want to be seen with me anymore because of this"? She questioned.

Li Chen and Huang Chunhua immediately shook their heads like a rattle drum. Huang Chunhua explained "we just didn’t want students to flock our room and make you uncomfortable, we already know your character and trust you fully".

Hearing her explanation, Mo Chou felt warmth in her heart. She was really lucky to have such friends.

Li Chen was quite anxious about the news online and asked "what are we going to do about this tho, the news has blown up".

"Don’t worry about it. I have my own methods to deal with it" Mo Chou reassured them. Li Chen and Huang Chunhua had no choice but to believe her words. They had found out about this matter in the morning and tried many things such as commenting and reporting the post but none of them had worked out.

Looking at their faces, Mo Chou knew that her reassurance wasn’t enough. She found an excuse and sent them to the nearby dumpling stall to buy some food. The stall was not too near but also not too far. It would give her ample time to resolve this issue.

Li Chen and Huang Chunhua left reluctantly and Mo Chou immediately took Li Chen’s laptop and started to work. Although Li Chen’s laptop was much slower than what she was used to, she didn’t have any other choice.

She first hacked into the news channel’s computer. She didn’t really need to do anything but post the original video of her confrontation with the guy. Actually, she would have left the fake news to make a bigger deal out of it but seeing how her friends were so concerned, she decided to solve the problem for now.

As for who was behind the whole fiasco, she wasn’t in a hurry to find out or expose them right now. She just wanted to solve the immediate problem for now.

She found the original unedited video and posted it on the news channel itself. She just added the words ’the truth’ and posted it. After contemplating, she also made it so no one could delete the post.

Since her work was done, Mo Chou erased all her activity and just laid back on the bed comfortably waiting for Li Chen and Huang Chunhua to return. Before they arrived at the dorm room, Li Chen and Huang Chunhua actually decided not to mention the post slandering Mo Chou as they thought it might make her upset. If Mo Chou couldn’t solve the issue, they would think of solutions themselves.

They brought the dumplings and snacks they had purchased to the dorm room and shared them with Mo Chou. Although Mo Chou had already eaten breakfast, it had not been satisfying as she had only grabbed two sandwiches.

Looking at all the snacks, the foodie in Mo Chou was delighted. After seeing her eat the food so happily, Li Chen and Huang Chunhua were also relieved. By the time they were done eating, it was actually almost time for the first class of the day to start.

Both Li Chen and Huang Chunhua didn’t want to go to the classes in case the other students were rude or gossiped about Mo Chou in front of her but Mo Chou insisted on going as she had already made them miss most of their classes the day before.

She also didn’t want to leave a bad record at the University and make her parents worry. Mo Chou didn’t have anything to worry about anyways. The video had probably already blown up and the truth was before everyone, so she dragged Li Chen towards the class.

The video had indeed blown up. Many people had kept their eyes on the news channel in case of anything new. When they saw that they had indeed posted a new video and along with the new title, they immediately watched it. To their surprise, instead of it being another video of Mo Chou’s misdeeds like they expected, it was the same video.

They were wondering why the news channel posted the same video again but after watching it completely, the whole internet went into an uproar.(+_+)
