Chapter 22: Celebrity bigshot

Min Gui was ready to be tortured by the devil Lu. He knew that Lu Jinhai’s subordinates would definitely come to him for help after being grilled by him and since he was too soft hearted, he would probably agree despite himself being more afraid of the devil Lu than his own father.

Just as he was wondering if he should wear extra clothes just in case, he actually saw that Lu Jinhai voluntarily exited his office and was actually heading towards his bedroom.

The most astonishing thing was that the ’stay away if you value your life’ aura that Lu Jinhai had before was gone. Min Gui wondered just what had happened in this short amount of time and curiously followed Lu Jinhai.

Thinking that he would probably not be beaten up tonight and since he was super curious too, Min Gui called out " Brother Lu, Where are you heading to"?

Lu Jinhai looked at him as if he was an idiot and replied "sleep". He then closed the door on his face.

Min gui scratched his head and wondered if Lu Jinhai’s insomnia had been cured. Normally Lu Jinhai wouldn’t go to bed unless he was so tired that he had no choice. Anyways, if his insomnia was actually cured, it would definitely be good news.

Min Gui felt like he shouldn’t think so hard as his tender brain might not be able to handle it. Since he had not gotten a beating, he went to bed in a good mood.

Huang Chunhua and Li Chen excitedly went to the entrance of the University. Seeing that they seemed to be waiting for someone, the students who had good relations with them approached them and asked if something exciting was going on.

"It’s not anything exciting. It’s just that we missed Mo Chou and she just texted that she was returning to university today" Li Chen told them.

The students actually got excited when they heard that Mo Chou would be returning. Everyone wanted to see the famous girl who even made it to the top trending videos. Many of the students’ friends and relatives had come to them to ask if they knew Mo Chou.

While Mo Chou was on a break, all kinds of rumors were circulating in the University which were both good and bad. Many students hadn’t actually seen Mo Chou in person and wanted to see for themselves if she was as good looking as the rumors.

Some students also hoped to see the handsome male student who had acted with Mo Chou and carried her in his arms as there were actually no signs of him after the accident. The fujoshis at the University had even created a page just for Mo Chou and Lu Jinhai. All in all everyone was excited to see Mo Chou and even texted their friends to come to the entrance of the University.

When Mo Chou arrived at the University with her bodyguards, she thought some celebrity or big shot was visiting the University seeing the crowd. The bodyguards were instantly alert and were ready to push back the crowd in order to make way for Mo Chou but she stopped them as her reputation was still very fragile and she didn’t want to hurt any students either.

She got out of the car with her bags and looked around. Everyone immediately started to gossip immediately after they saw Mo Chou.

Mo Chou just scanned the crowd and found her two friends. She headed towards them after instructing her bodyguards to just stay at the entrance. The guards wanted to protest but Mo Chou gave them a look which made their scalp chill and they instinctively obeyed her.

She headed towards Huang Chunhua and Li Chen. The students actually parted ways for her which Mo Chou found to be quite bizarre. She was initially prepared to push through the crowd to get to them.

When she reached them, Mo Chou asked her friends if someone important was arriving at the University. Li Chen giggled and said "They are actually here for you, boss". Mo Chou was surprised but felt that she should have expected it a little with her current popularity.

Mo Chou still felt a little embarrassed as she was not used to this much attention. She was fortunately saved as it was time for her class so she excused herself and headed to her first class with Li Chen. Whenever she passed by, students would whisper but Mo Chou quickly got used to it because of her ’roll with it’ mindset.

Li Chen was excitedly telling her about all the latest gossip including Zhao Lili’s arrest. Mo Chou just pretended to be a little surprised and listened to all her chatter. Mo Chou had actually made a secret account on the University gossip page and scrolled through it the day before, so she knew most of the major gossip and even the rumors about herself. She just couldn’t be bothered to clarify any bad rumors.

When they reached the classroom, she saw that the seat beside hers was empty and felt a little down. The class started and Mo Chou just focused on taking notes but halfway through the class, the door opened and Lu Jinhai entered. The professor couldn’t even be bothered to question him and just continued with the class but the students turned excited when they saw him and started to talk in low voices.

Lu Jinhai didn’t care about any of them and just walked straight to his seat, his eyes focused on Mo Chou.

Mo Chou was also looking at him and sighed, he was probably the most handsome guy she had seen. He would definitely be on top if he entered the entertainment industry.

Since he had taken care of her last time, Mo Chou took the initiative to greet him. Lu Jinhai’s lips actually twitched and Mo Chou wondered if he was trying to smile. If he was, then it was kind of cute. It was as if his face muscles had frozen.

Mo Chou let out a laugh and Lu Jinhai actually got stunned looking at her face. When she smiled, her eyes lit up and made her look dazzling. He felt his heart stutter and wondered if this was how those fans of idols felt.

Still he calmly sat down on his seat as if nothing had happened. Mo Chou also resumed her writing but she could feel his gaze on her the whole time. She wanted to question him but when she remembered his reply the last time she asked him, her ears started turning red for no reason.

’Forget it, I’ll just ignore him’ thought Mo Chou. Lu Jinhai looked at Mo Chou who was furiously writing notes and felt like she really did look like a little rabbit. He looked at her red ears and felt like pinching them to annoy her.

Just as he was about to put his thoughts into action, the class actually ended. Mo Chou hurriedly packed up and exited the class. She had an hour of free time, so she headed towards the cafeteria. She had already made plans with Li Chen and Huang Chunhua and as they each had different schedules and classes, they had decided to spend the break together catching up.

They met up at the cafeteria door and were about to go inside when Lu Jinhai joined them. "Don’t you have any classes"? Huang Chunhua asked him curiously. Lu Jinhai just answered with a "no" and didn’t say anything more.

He walked with them and even sat next to Mo Chou at the table. Li Chen and Huang Chunhua looked at both of them with knowing gazes but Mo Chou was helpless as she really didn’t have anything special with Lu Jinhai. She decided that if she hurried to clarify, it would make her look guilty so she just changed the subject. She had actually bought two cute bracelets for Li Chen and Huang Chunhua so she handed it to them. She was quite nervous if they would like it as it was her first time gifting her friends.

Li Chen and Huang Chunhua loved the gift and hurriedly put it on while praising it which made Mo Chou smile.

Mo Chou suddenly felt a hostile gaze and looked around but couldn’t see anyone but the students so she just shrugged and resumed eating. (*□*)
