Sleeping With My Step Daddy
Chapter 86: "Beautiful Gay"

Chapter 86: "Beautiful Gay"

The soft morning light poured gently through the curtains. Miles slowly opened his eyes and blinked at the golden glow that filled the room. He turned his head to see Ethan and little Mike still sleeping soundly beside him. Smiling to himself, Miles sat up and stretched, letting out a quiet yawn. He leaned down, gently patting Mike’s soft hair before sliding off the bed.

Walking quietly to the balcony, Miles stepped outside and took a deep breath. The fresh morning breeze brushed against his skin. His eyes wandered across the garden below—and there, sitting quietly among the trimmed hedges and flowerbeds, was Reiji.

Reiji’s gaze slowly lifted, locking onto Miles. Something in the way he looked at him made Miles pause. Why is this boy staring at me like that...? he thought, feeling a twinge of discomfort. He turned his head, trying to ignore it.

Suddenly, two strong arms wrapped around his waist from behind.

Ethan (softly): "Good morning, Milk."

Miles smiled, relaxing into the familiar warmth of his husband’s embrace.

Miles: "You’re awake?"

Ethan (nuzzling his neck): "Mm-hmm. What are you doing?"

Miles: "Just enjoying the morning air."

Below them, Reiji stood and quietly slipped back into the mansion. Ethan watched him go briefly, then turned his full attention back to Miles.

Ethan (smiling): "It feels like heaven... seeing you like this in the morning."

Miles (laughing softly): "Don’t be loud—Mike will wake up."

Both turned to glance back inside. Little Mike still lay curled beneath the covers, completely undisturbed, his breathing slow and peaceful.

Ethan (grinning): "Then we shouldn’t make any noise."

He leaned in, kissing Miles on the lips. Miles gave him a playful shove.

Miles: "What are you doing? Mike will wake up and see us."

Ethan (whispering as he kissed his cheek): "Then don’t make a noise."

Meanwhile, in the soft quiet of the morning, Kai slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he noticed was the warmth wrapped around him—the second was that he was completely naked beneath the sheets. His eyes shifted, and right beside him, Bast lay peacefully asleep, one arm draped tightly around Kai’s waist.

A faint smile curled on Kai’s lips as last night’s memories came flooding back. He had drunk a little too much, and one thing led to another... but unlike the first time—back when he’d woken up in his stepdad’s room full of confusion and guilt—this time felt different. He didn’t feel regret. He felt happy.

Kai (whispering to himself): "It feels like the first time I woke up in my stepdaddy’s room naked... but this time, I’m not guilty. I’m happy."

Bast stirred, still holding Kai close. His eyes blinked open slowly.

Bast (husky voice): "Good morning, baby."

Kai blushed lightly and whispered back.

Kai: "Morning... daddy."

Bast chuckled softly, pulling him even closer.

Bast: "Baby... last night you were so horny and hungry. You drove me crazy."

Kai’s cheeks turned an even deeper shade of red. His gaze dropped to Bast’s neck where faint love marks—his own doing—stood out against his skin. Reaching up, Kai gently traced his fingers over one of the scars.

Bast (smiling): "I love it."

Kai smiled too, resting his head against Bast’s chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

Kai (softly): "Me too."

They stayed like that, wrapped in warmth and silence, a peaceful moment shared between two hearts finally content.

The breakfast table was set, and the whole family sat together, enjoying the morning meal. Miles’ eyes subtly glanced at Kai and Bast—his gaze lingering on the faint scars visible on both of their necks. Kai noticed and instinctively tried to hide them, adjusting his collar nervously.

Miles blinked, then smiled, trying not to tease.

Meanwhile, Reiji sat silently, his expression unreadable as he ate quietly. Kai glanced at him, noticing the unusual seriousness in his face.

After breakfast, Reiji sat on the couch, waiting for Eden to arrive and pick him up. A small burst of energy caught his attention—little Mike came running through the hallway, giggling as he played. Miles followed behind him, worried.

Miles: "Mike! Slow down—you’ll fall!"

Reiji gently patted Mike’s head as the boy passed.

Miles (softly): "Reiji..."

Reiji turned to him, eyes calm.

Reiji: "Don’t worry, he won’t fall."

Then he gave a slight nod to the servant nearby. Understanding the signal, the servant approached and bowed respectfully before taking Mike out to the garden to play.

Miles (smiling): "Thanks..."

Reiji: "You look beautiful when you smile."

Miles hesitated, a little flustered.

Reiji (casually): "Eden talks about you a lot."

Miles (smiling): "Ah, we studied at the same college."

Reiji: "I know... but he never told me you’re a beautiful gay."

Miles blinked in confusion, unsure whether to laugh or respond. The words hung in the air—awkward, unexpected, but somehow honest in Reiji’s blunt way.

Miles didn’t say a word. Reiji’s eyes still lingered on him, unblinking. The way he stared made Miles uneasy. His faint smile slowly faded as confusion crept in—he couldn’t tell what Reiji was trying to say.

Just then, Eden arrived.

Eden (cheerfully): "Hey, honey."

He looked at Miles and smiled.

Eden: "Miles, how are you?"

Miles forced a smile, but it didn’t reach his eyes.

Miles: "I’m okay."

His tone betrayed him. He looked away quickly.

Miles: "I need to check on Mike."

Without waiting, he turned and walked outside. His steps were quick, almost like he was escaping.

Eden stood still, confused by his sudden shift in mood. His gaze shifted to Reiji.

Eden: "You’ve been waiting long?"

Reiji: "Nope. Miles gave me good company."

Eden (looking concerned): "He seemed sad."

Reiji (feigning surprise): "Really?"

Eden: "Yeah..."

Reiji: "You care about him a lot."

Eden (firmly): "I care about him as a friend. Just friends."

Reiji: "Is that so?"

Eden (slightly frustrated): "Reiji, why are you acting weird after meeting him?"

Reiji didn’t answer. Instead, he simply walked past Eden with a cool expression.

Reiji: "I didn’t."

And just like that, he left Eden standing there, wondering what just shifted between them.

Miles sat quietly on a garden chair, his eyes following Mike as the little boy played with a servant nearby. But his thoughts weren’t in the garden—they were still circling around Reiji’s strange behavior. His expression was distant, the earlier joy wiped away.

Kai noticed him from a distance and walked over, crouching beside Mike first with a warm smile.

Kai (playfully): "Hey, little cute bunny! Are you having fun?"

Mike giggled and nodded, holding up a toy.

Kai then turned to Miles, noticing the heaviness in his eyes. He sat beside him on the bench.

Kai: "What’s wrong, Miles?"

Miles blinked out of his thoughts, startled.

Miles: "Oh... Kai..."

Kai (gently): "Hey, why are you so lost in thought?"

Miles (quickly): "No, I was just... watching Mike."

Kai tilted his head, not buying the excuse.

Kai: "Something’s bothering you. Tell me—I’m your friend."

Miles hesitated for a moment, then sighed.

Miles: "Kai... your cousin Reiji. He acted kind of weird with me earlier. Is he always like that?"

Kai’s eyes narrowed slightly. He studied Miles’ face—he looked genuinely unsettled.

Kai: "Did he say something rude?"

Miles: "No... not exactly. I’m just... confused. He was acting strange."

Kai thought for a moment. Did Reiji figure out Eden used to like Miles? The idea crossed his mind briefly, but he quickly smiled.

Kai (lightly): "He is a weirdo. Don’t think too much about it."

Trying to change the subject, Kai glanced toward Mike and smiled.

Kai: "So tell me about Mike. How old is he?"

Miles followed his gaze, his smile softening.

Miles: "He’s only two years old."

Kai (pleasantly surprised): "Really?"

Miles: "Yep. We adopted him when he was just eight months."

Kai (smiling warmly): "I’m happy to see your little family. You all look so happy together."

Miles looked at Kai, his smile more genuine now.

Miles: "Soon, you’ll have your own."

Kai chuckled and leaned back, the weight on Miles’ heart finally seeming to lift—at least a little.

Kai and Miles continued catching up in the garden, laughing and talking like old times. Meanwhile, upstairs in the mansion, Reiji sat quietly in his room, lost in thought. His brows were slightly furrowed, eyes still lingering on the moment he had seen Eden and Miles together.

A knock came at the door, and a second later, Eden walked in.

Without a word, Eden sat beside him on the bed. He studied Reiji’s face carefully.

Eden (softly): "Reiji... why are you behaving like this? Are you angry with me?"

Reiji (quietly): "Why would I be? I just want to be alone."

Eden reached for his hand and gently held it.

Eden: "Reiji, are you upset because I talked to Miles?"

Reiji (looking away): "Why would I?"

Eden (firmly, trying to meet his eyes): "Reiji, believe me... I see him only as a friend. Please, believe me."

Reiji’s eyes welled up with tears, and he quickly turned his face away, trying to hide them.

Reiji (whispering): "I didn’t ask you."

Eden (gently): "Reiji, look at me."

Reiji didn’t move, so Eden softly cupped his face and turned it toward him.

Eden: "Reiji, I have no more feelings for him. My heart, my everything... it belongs to you. Only you."

Reiji’s eyes searched Eden’s, still unsure. But then he saw it—the sincerity, the warmth, the truth. His chest tightened.

Reiji (softly): "Is it true?"

Eden leaned forward and wrapped his arms around him.

Eden (whispering): "It’s true. Trust me."

Reiji hugged him back tightly.

Reiji (apologetically): "I’m sorry... I behaved rudely before."

Eden (gently patting his back): "It’s okay."

Eden pulled back slightly, brushing away the lingering tears from Reiji’s cheeks.

Eden (smiling): "Should we go? Mom made some delicious food for us."

Reiji nodded, and a small smile crept onto his lips. They stood up and walked out of the room, hand in hand—like a promise of something stronger, something lasting.
