Sleeping With My Step Daddy -
Chapter 67: "Let’s sleep daddy..."
Chapter 67: "Let’s sleep daddy..."
Kai blinked slowly, his vision adjusting to the figure in front of him. He murmured under his breath.
Kai (whispering): "Is this... a dream? Bast..."
Bast smiled softly, his voice tender.
Bast: "It’s not a dream, Kai."
Kai’s eyes widened in shock. He quickly sat up and threw his arms around Bast, hugging him tightly.
Kai (breathless): "It’s really you..."
Bast held him just as tightly, wrapping his arms around him protectively.
Bast (gently): "I’m sorry, Kai. I was late... I couldn’t protect you."
Kai didn’t reply—he just clung to Bast, his arms locked around him like he’d never let go again. His eyes brimmed with tears. Bast looked down at him, his voice firm but filled with warmth.
Bast: "Don’t worry. I’m never leaving you alone again. I’m here now... Let’s go home."
Kai’s voice cracked.
Kai: "I missed you, Bast..."
Bast gently wiped the tears from his cheeks.
Bast (softly): "I missed you too."
His own eyes shimmered with emotion. He cupped Kai’s face in his hands, leaned in, and kissed him—gently at first, then deeper... more passionately. Kai’s hands slid around Bast’s neck, pulling him closer as he kissed him back with all the longing that had built up over the years.
When they finally pulled apart, Bast looked into Kai’s eyes and whispered.
Bast: "Let’s go home, Kai."
Kai hesitated, lowering his gaze.
Bast (softly): "What’s wrong?"
Kai took a breath, then finally spoke.
Kai: "Bast... I don’t want to leave Dad like that."
Bast’s eyes filled with curiosity and concern.
Bast: "Kai..."
Kai (quietly): "Dad... he went through so much after Mom left him. He missed her... a lot. And he loves her—even now. And me too. I know it. I don’t want to hurt him."
Bast didn’t answer right away. He just looked at Kai, reading the conflict in his eyes.
Kai added, his voice even softer: "Do you know why Mom left Japan?"
Bast slowly shook his head.
Bast: "No. Jennifer only said to me, ’Bast, I want to leave Japan. Me and my son aren’t safe here.’ That’s all she ever told me."
Kai lowered his eyes again. They both lay down quietly on the bed, Kai resting his head on Bast’s chest.
Bast: "Jennifer never told me about your dad. She only said her husband’s name was Takeshi Haruto. I tried to search for him before... but no one with that name existed. I thought he was dead."
Kai looked up.
Kai: "Why didn’t you tell me any of this before?"
Bast stroked his hair gently.
Bast: "Because... I didn’t want to stress you. I just wanted to protect you, Kai."
Kai (softly): "Then why did Mom leave Dad like that? Why didn’t she ever tell me about him?"
Bast gently patted Kai’s head, his voice low and comforting.
Bast: "If you really want to know... I’ll find out for you. I’ll search until I get answers, Kai."
Kai looked up at him, brows furrowed slightly.
Kai: "Bast... how are you here? How did Dad even let you inside?"
Bast smiled calmly, as if he’d expected the question.
Bast: "I just asked him."
Kai narrowed his eyes, suspicious.
Kai: "Bast... did you do something again? Don’t tell me you kidnapped someone... or threatened him—"
Bast quickly interrupted, raising his hands.
Bast: "Kai, no. I didn’t do anything like that. I just..."
Kai (firmly): "Just what?"
Bast hesitated, then confessed.
Bast: "I... I bought shares. In Mr. Takeshi’s casino businesses."
Kai’s eyes widened slightly. He sat up straighter, his expression a mix of shock and realization.
Kai: "So that’s why Dad’s been so stressed these past few days?"
Bast reached for his hand, holding it gently.
Bast: "Kai... don’t talk about anything else right now. Just look at me."
Kai paused, his heart pounding in his chest as he met Bast’s eyes—those warm, determined eyes that always made him feel like everything would somehow be okay.
Meanwhile, Takeshi sat in his private lounge, quietly sipping wine. The room was dimly lit, the air heavy with unspoken tension.
Riko (frustrated): "Brother, why did you let that bastard meet Kai? You should’ve kicked him out."
Yuri placed a calming hand on Riko’s arm.
Yuri (gently): "Riko, calm down. I’m sure Brother Takeshi has his reasons."
Riko glanced between them but nodded reluctantly, settling back in his seat.
Takeshi stared at the wine swirling in his glass before speaking quietly.
Takeshi: "He’s our guest. Treat him well."
Yuri nodded respectfully and stood up, quietly leaving the room to carry out her brother’s order.
Takeshi turned to Riko, his voice low but firm.
Takeshi said, "Sebastian Vaughn has taken good care of Kai. That’s why I couldn’t refuse to let him meet Kai."
Kai said to me, "Bast and Jennifer weren’t a real couple. They only had a fake marriage."
Riko’s eyes widened when he heard that.
Takeshi continued, "Bast and Jennifer were just friends. He treated her like a sister."
Takeshi: "I don’t know exactly who Sebastian Vaughn is... but one thing I do know—he’s taken care of Kai. He’s raised him like his own child and gave him a good life."
He looked directly at Riko.
Takeshi: "So don’t do anything. Leave it be."
Riko lowered his eyes, clenching his jaw slightly, but nodded.
Riko: "Okay, Brother."
Inside Kai’s room, the soft light from the bedside lamp painted a quiet warmth across the walls. Bast leaned in and gently pressed a kiss to Kai’s cheek, then to his nose, and finally brushed their lips together.
Kai (softly, a little breathless): "Bast... what if someone comes?"
Bast whispered near his ear, his voice calm and reassuring.
Bast: "Don’t worry. I locked the door."
He kissed down to Kai’s neck, lingering at the sensitive skin near his ear before giving a playful bite that made Kai flinch slightly. Then, slowly, Bast began unbuttoning his shirt and slipped it off.
Kai’s gaze wandered across Bast’s chest, his fingers brushing over the familiar skin before he leaned in and placed a soft kiss there. Bast closed his eyes at the warmth of Kai’s lips, the tenderness making his heartbeat quicken.
But then—a knock.
Kai startled and quickly got off the bed. Bast calmly reached for his shirt and buttoned it up just in time.
Kai opened the door.
Yuri stood on the other side with a polite smile, a servant standing respectfully behind her.
Yuri: "Kai, I’m here for Mr. Sebastian Vaughn. He’s our guest, and we’ve prepared a room for him."
Bast stepped beside Kai, his expression composed as his eyes met Yuri’s. She gave him a respectful nod.
Yuri: "Hello, Mr. Vaughn."
Bast returned the gesture.
Bast: "Hello, Miss...?"
Yuri: "I’m Yuri. Kai’s aunt."
Bast offered a light smile. "I’m Sebastian Vaughn. Kai’s..."
Yuri interrupted with a gentle expression. "I know who you are, Mr. Vaughn. We’re happy to have you as our guest. Your room is ready."
But Bast shook his head.
Bast: "There’s no need."
Yuri blinked, a little confused. "Pardon?"
Bast: "I’ll be staying in Kai’s room. It’s been a long time since I last saw my son, and I’d like to spend more time with him."
Yuri’s smile returned, though there was a flicker of surprise in her eyes.
Yuri: "I understand. Then I won’t disturb you any further. Good night."
She turned and left with the servant, maintaining her grace. Bast gently closed the door and locked it again.
Kai turned to him with a small smile.
Kai: "So... Daddy, let’s sleep?"
Without a word, Bast scooped Kai up into his arms.
Bast: "I can’t wait anymore."
He carried him to the bed, and the room grew quiet again—just the two of them, finally together after so long.
Bast gently laid Kai down on the bed, his eyes never leaving the younger man’s face. Slowly, he slid his shirt off again, revealing his bare skin. Then, with care, he unbuttoned Kai’s shirt and let it fall to the floor.
Bast (softly, eyes admiring him): "You’ve grown up, Kai... and become even more beautiful, more adorable."
His gaze roamed gently across Kai’s skin, lingering with affection and awe. He leaned down, pressing his lips to Kai’s chest, placing soft kisses on his nipples before licking gently.
Bast (whispering): "I missed this sweet collagen."
Kai reached up, his hands cupping Bast’s face, his eyes filled with longing.
Kai: "I missed you too..."
They leaned into each other, lips meeting in a kiss that was hungry, desperate, and filled with all the love they had bottled up over the years. Slowly, piece by piece, their pants slid off the bed, discarded without a second thought.
Bast’s lips trailed down Kai’s neck, leaving a faint mark as Kai let out a soft moan. His breath hitched, the warmth of Bast’s touch sending shivers through him.
Bast (smirking softly): "I missed this voice..."
Kai couldn’t hold back any longer. His body ached with need—his skin burned for Bast’s touch. And that night, after two long years apart, they shared a moment that was tender, passionate, and unforgettable—just the two of them, lost in each other’s arms under the quiet glow of the night.
